Splinterlands | Rise of the Commons Challenge

in Splinterlands5 months ago (edited)

There are only a handful of game rules left in the Share Your Battle Challenge which now also is called 'Battle Mage Secrets" in Splinterlands. This is the Rise of the Commons Rule.

This is one of the game rules that acts as a great equalizer for those who don't have all the epic and legendary monsters don't get disadvantaged. So from there on out it's basically seeing which is the best class on the Common and rare cards. I tend to go for either Water, death, or life as those have the easiest time to give monsters armor which is vital in many cases.

The other 2 rules were that Melee can attack from any position and all monsters to have the Enrage ability.

I did play the Dragon Daria Dragonscale summoner which gives +1 melee attack to all melee monsters. As a tank I played the Cursed Windeku as it has a lot of health with heal and Torns. The Haunted Spirit in 2nd also has heal and reflect while I hoped these would get buffed by the Vruz that also could buff the Xenith Monk. In all Death decks, the Ravenhood Warden is pretty much a must include and I ended it with the Undead Priest.

I did have 1 absolutely key miss which to kill has backline monster which would have saved me a ton of damage and might even have won me the match even though it looks like I had no chance based on the monsters my opponent had left. I don't mind these luck factors in the game and actually think they are a good thing.
