Welcome to the SplinterLands Q&A Series9:: The Question that I answer in this Vlog is All About Regular or Gold Foil Card?? Which one to Opt for??
Normally, it will depend on the cards collection a player has. But if we were to go with a scenario where both the players are new and they have no cards at all and are planning to max a particular card; then in this type of scenario, I would say its cheaper to max the regular foil cards.
In the video, we look at an example where I demonstrate and do an apple to apple comparison for a single card which is Regular & Gold.. Having said that I'm not saying that it's always better to max regular cards coz. it will vary to a player preference and his/her collection of cards..
Considering the fact that Gold Foil Cards circulating supply is less so holding some of them can fetch you good prices in the near future as well..So for pure play purpose and where the condition is that a player is looking to max out a particular card then I feel according to my understanding; I repeat my understanding of the game thus far it would be wise to max out a regular foil card..
