The Rejuvenating Beauty of San Remegio Beach Club, Cebu, Philippines.πŸ–

Earlier this week, our school conducted a team building for all its faculty members. Teachers felt abuzz and excited because this was the first time that we would be having a team building with a professional Team Building Facilitator to handle us. Most of the time our so-called Team building turned out to be just traveling, eating, and enjoying the moment of togetherness outside the school campus, rather than having games and activities that would strengthen more our team. This time was different and interesting.

However with all honesty, what I was interested in about this Team Building capacity were not the activities and games instead I was more interested in our venue, the San Remegio Beach Club located at the longest coastline of Cebu, -San Remegio, Cebu.

Before the school decided which venue to go to for our Team Building, we had a poll first as to where to have it. I was delighted that San Remegio Beach Club got most of the votes. I have been meaning to visit the resort and witness with my two eyes how serene and beautiful the Resort is and Alas it's true!

We arrived at the place at 10:00 PM, just right on time because the activities had just started. I participated in around 4 games. We enjoyed it so much and we were all having fun. I think our team was the loudest and the happiest while the other team was so serious to win the game. The whole activity was full of laughter. We unleashed the "kid" in us.

The Dining hall 🍽

After the game, we had our lunch first, an unli-buffet with two "Lechon" (roasted pigs) as our main dish! How overwhelming it was to eat such sumptuous food in a splendid dining hall. Highly satisfying. (Burp!)

I relaxed a little after my heavy lunch. (Haha). I smiled as my eyes wandered the walls of the hall. I love restaurant vibes like this it looked native because of the wooden designs and decoration, the jars, and the hanging brown baskets, moreover what even made it native yet classy are the woven mats and baskets creatively designed on the ceiling. And of course the lighting! It's simply fascinating.

At 1 PM the Facilitators gathered us again for another activity. This time it was hard yet fun activities such as finding our exit in the Maze, ziplining, rappelling, and wall climbing.

I didn't join any of the activities because I couldn't feel the adrenaline rush in me, I was not scared of heights either, it's just I didn't feel like doing it. Anyway, it was not a "by-team game" anymore, it was an individual activity given to us to fully utilize and enjoy what we paid for in the resort). There I realized that I don't like activities like those(rappelling and wall climbing) done indoors, I prefer natural outdoor activities. So I decided why not take a leisure stroll around the resort and on the beach? The thought of it made me excited already. So I excused myself and started ambling the whole place.

πŸ–San Remegio Beach ClubπŸŒ…

Situated at San Remegio, Cebu Philippines, One would greatly enjoy the calmness and freshness that San Remegio Beach Club offers. It has many facilities like a pool, seminar hall, playing area for kids, their unique lanai, and more.

Surprisingly the Beach Club has many trees and plants growing in it, so once you are inside you will experience the soothing forest-like atmosphere from the trees and the calming sound of the beach waves. It's a combination of Forest and Beach in one setting. No doubt one would love to come to San Remegio Beach Club.

As I walked around, I observed that they have plenty of Halls, Patios, and Benches. Wherever you go inside the Beach Resort you will see the unique benches and patios inviting you to sit down and relax. And because there are plenty of trees like the bamboo trees and so many other big trees, you would not feel the scorching heat of the sun instead you will feel the slight chilly atmosphere that would make you want to sleep on a hammock rocking slowly.

From the beach club's open ground, I saw a Sphere made of Metal in the middle of the bamboo trees. At the center of it, is a bench made of metal facing the beach. I sat down and took a moment to savor the view. I felt relaxed. I felt refreshed.

I continued walking and saw this lobby in front of the beach, it has plenty of benches in every corner situated under a tree. I guess they grew the trees first before building this lobby.

My favorite part of this lobby was the small patio with its four hanging white curtains freely swinging in the air. It looked classy and sexy and reminded me of a dinner date set up on the beach. There is a stage built in the middle, by the look of it the lobby is a good place for an open party/event. I wonder how the place looks at night with all its lighting. Romantic maybe?

I reached the corner of the beach Club wherein there were a bunch of benches, colorful ones. This corner of the resort looked so lovely because of its colorful benches. The place is good for family outings and a beach day with friends. There's nothing to worry about in the heat of the sun because this corner is shaded with plenty of trees. This place of the resort is heartwarming and lively to look at.

Another beautiful spot in this corner of the beach were the round benches arranged in straight lines on top of the wall that seemed to meet the horizon. There are also tables and chairs available for use. And as popular as it is the beach water of San Remegio is crystal clear due to its super fine sand below.

The Resort also is famous for its big swimming pool good for kids and adults. Unlike other pools, this swimming pool is surrounded by trees and benches. So if you don't want to swim you can just lay down and enjoy the view. The pool also has different benches made of woven rattan. It has different styles and huge sizes.

In the middle of the Resort is a fountain placed inside a white building with an open roof made of metal. Green vines are starting to climb their walls already. At first glance, I thought it was a monument of some famous personality. The building is surrounded by potted plants.

As I explored the place I could see that this place is built for relaxation. With its nice ocean view, one would be stress-free. The presence of benches and patios everywhere, be it in the garden, on the side of the wall, outside the reception area, in front of the beach, around the swimming pool, under the trees, everywhere, is reminding its guest to simply enjoy life away from the busy life. The whole place is enticing you to have a break, to just sit, keep calm and enjoy life for a while.
