It’s me, Tom @thedeltron, putting out another blog post about the Hive Wars Script.
Summary - We’re looking to take the first steps in developing a feature-length film based off the events that transpired with Steemit, Justin Sun, and Hive, while showcasing the power of Web3 – with step one being the development and creation of a script.
We’ve already been speaking to a number of awesome community members who have offered to help us out with the story of the script and some have offered to be part of our community review once we start the work on the script.
We have also had loads of amazing comments on our last two posts helping us out with info, contacts and support.

In our next blog post we will be posting our discord server for the questions and AMA sessions. Again as a note, we are going to give 50% of the funds generated by the blog back to the DAO and the rest will go to fund the proposal.
So we want to ask the community again, who we think we should be speaking to.
1. Who should we be speaking to in the Hive community to get the full picture and who would have interesting stories
2. Who on the other side in the Steem, Justin Sun and Ned side of the picture should we be speaking to to make sure the script is not too one sided?

Steamit = Steemit
Please make sure to get the wording right, as for sure we dont wont that in a script. Steem had a ton of confusion with the names because of bad initial design, and we can see its still continues :)
Steem - the blockchain
Steemit - the company and the name of one app (frontend)
In the photo you have the logo of steem and the name steemit.
About the question who to talk with, that would be the top20 witnesses at the time of the hostile attack, and probably some of the general public
there should definitely be whole introductory section of the film on how RIDICULOUSLY confusing the names were. If you can get Margot Robbie to explain it in a bathtub then all the better....

Hi @pfunk, thanks for you feedback and I understand your concern. That was just a typing error and the photo was created by someone else so I apologies if it gives the impression we are not going to do the due diligence on the final script. I assure you that we are and that we will be having everything checked by key community members from our weekly community review team. I'd be interested in fact-checking the script and maybe even share my side of the story. I was the first one to notice when the governance attack occurred and alerted everyone in the old slack, something which at the time seemed impossible but after quickly checking the chain we understood it was due to Sun having tricked the exchanges to power up and allow him to overtake it, something he seems to do quite often. I was also active throughout the whole ordeal but that's not a surprise as I have been since I first joined the blockchain. This is @ocd-witness which at the time was and currently is a top20 witness.

when I was first on Steemit there was a guy called @exyle who used to vlog about the platform. He had a great reputation, and was a really nice, level headed guy (I met him briefly at steemfest 2 in lisbon) and I used to go to his blog to find out his opinions on the direction of the community and the tech and the finance etc.
Im not sure what happened but I think he may have tried to bridge the gap between the community and justin sun, he didnt want to see everything fall apart (for sure he may have felt he had a lot to lose, but I imagine he had good intentions as well....I dont know). He certainly published a whole load of answers to justin suns questionnaire at the time and was seemingly attempting to embrace the new era.
I remember there was a sudden change in mood towards him and as far as Im aware, he was Exyled!
I certainly havnt seen him on hive, but I feel like he would be a really interesting person to talk to for an alternative take on the whole scenario. I imagine he was pretty heartbroken by the whole thing.
Anyone else remember that guy and/or know anything about what happened with him?

Have you seen his Hive wallet lately? Looks like he's autovoting a bunch of people, then popping by every few days to claim rewards & occasionally cashing out. He might not be here, but he's here.

that would be awesome I think. I would love to hear his story. I feel like it would add some extra breadth to the narrative for sure. The last thing we want is for the film to become too one-sided.

Talk to some of the community leaders who came over from Steemit, and can speak on the process that was for them and their communities. I recommend @mariannewest from Freewriters Community that has been rolling for 1,601 days straight as one excellent example.

Ned Scott and Justin Sun, obviously. Why would you ask anyone else if you're looking for two specific people's "side"?
What about the thugs that voted in agreement with Sun to steal funds?
Pointless I'd think. I can't pretend to know exactly what was in their minds but anything other than "I was being a greedy opportunist" would sound like a total lie. And there were some who were too dim-witted or lazy to be up to speed on what a blockchain is and means, but the majority share fell into the greedy opportunist bin.

I exited just as the drama started but I am anticipating the film's release.
Wow! I'm glad to hear this.
I want to hear how the ecosystem did not make much if any improvement after the fork. Those that claim they forked for one reason or another just perform the same type and style of tactics against normal bloggers.
There are no two sides to this. A greedy, egotistic piece of trash sabotaged Steem and then sold it out by selling the company to Justin Sun. There is no misunderstanding. We attempted to prevent a 51% attack on the public Steem blockchain without knowing it was already sabotaged ahead of time through various means. The attack cost our fellow community members their wallets. It is the first such attack in blockchain history, particularly as it involved massive collusion and planning. Ned tried to sell the blockchain, the community, the users, the dapps (!) to Justin and failed. A community can't be sold. Now whomever remained is rotting in the centralized bog that's left of what was once Steem.
And yes I'd want to fact check.
