Venezuela might be sitting on a problem.
The heaviness of the oil makes it very intensive to refine, causing emissions. We will see how they fare going forward.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Their economy is already dead and this will burden them even further. As per the article, they are one of the most carbon-intensive petroleum producers globally. Elon is not happy!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It is true the Venezuelan economy is dead and this will ensure it remains.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well I am pretty sure some places are more than willing to take some oil off their hands. After all we are seeing the supply shortage in the US.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The question is will they even be allowed since it is heavy crude.
We are going to end up seeing a massive energy shortage if these people keep getting their way. What is being told in the MSM, like always, is full of lies.

Yeah I am hoping they do something with them at some point.
I now have over 16K #CANDIES. It could mean something down the road.

Has everyone seen Markys post about STEM and the upcoming game?
It's sent the STEM price mooning let's hope another wonderful game on our block chain which will bring in alot more new unique users.
And the first image of the game looks really good !!

It will be very interesting to see what Marky has up his sleeve.
We are getting some cool games going. Lets see how many of them catch on.
The key will be outside attention for these games.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I just read the post and didn't know he was working on a game. It's interesting as I'd seen an uptick in appearances of STEM in posts and wondered what had happened to the tribe in general. Good to see some new life being breathed into the tribe and will be looking forward to more information about his game.

Yes. Never go full Ape. :D Sounds interesting.

I read about it but I don't know how well it will be until it is released.

Could the current Afghanistan debacle be the sign of the end of the US hegemony. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-56747158
And if so, what would be the implications for USD as the global currency.
Which one will feel this role? Chinese Yuan (CNY)? Euro? Bitcoin?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The answer to your question is which one would you trust in that role?
Do any of those make you feel confortable?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well, I know you know my answer.
I was pretending to ask :D. Go $BTC
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The challenge with that is it would collapse the economy. Bitcoin would create an instant deflationary spiral since it is hodled.
People are not going to spend a store of value they think is going to going up 3x in a year or whatever.
The USD is not going anywhere.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well I would obviously like BTC to take the role. However I do think the CNY is the most likely choice if they do have to choose something different.

Walmart wants to hire someone who can develop its digital currency strategy and product roadmap.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I don't imagine this going well when you consider how Walmart is focused more on corporate profits.

If they do not care about their own community of employees then yes, this is going to fail. I hope they use this opportunity to provide various benefits to everyone who works for them. Even their customers with better reward systems.

I'm just about to post a new crypto guides template and thought I'd share my thoughts first.
My thinking is that we want to keep sharing content on projects that are 'trending'.
An easy way to see this is to just look at the CoinGecko Discover page.
You can see that our 2 most recent Solana and Cardano guides are in the list, as well as our now fully updated Shiba Inu coin guide.
So, moving onto what's next...
The two that jump out at me on the trending list are XRP (lameeee, but we'll have to do it eventually) and Terra.
Does anyone have an opinion on Terra that they could share?
Is Terra a similar project to Synthetix or do they solve different problems?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
By my understanding Terra deals solely with stablecoins. Synthetixs deals with synthetic created assets (assets voted into existence representing the value of some other asset). It's basically a difference of stablecoins (terra) v derivatives (synthetixs)
Does this help you any????
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I am not sure about what Synthetix does but yes, Terra deals with decentralized stablecoins like TerraUSDT, Korean Won pegged TerraKRW, TerraSDT etc. They are trying to solve the scalability issues of ERC-20 Stablecoins. Terra is also creating an ecosystem where Terra stablecoins can be transferred easily from Terra mainnet to other blockchains.
To mint new TerraUSD tokens, a percentage of another digital token and reserve asset, LUNA, is “burned.” If the demand for TerraUSD rises with more people using the currency, more LUNA will be automatically burned and diverted to a community pool. LUNA is fundamental to keeping Terra's stablecoins stable.
Chai payment DApp built on Terra has seen immense growth in Korea. Already has 2 million users. According to Terra's website, it processes $1 billion in transactions each year. Everytime, someone pays using Terra DApps, a fee is required per transaction which is then distributed among LUNA Holders. Terra's inbuilt DeFi feature ;) just like we have with HBD on Hive.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Thanks for the info from both of you.
When it comes to the guide, we've gotta go with Terra purely because it's the one with more hype around it right now.
I'm just finishing up my final Solana post on this account and then I'll publish the Terra @crypto-guides template.
Hopefully featuring some new auto-voter whale upvotes.
We'll see ;)
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That's perfect. Terra is a nice pick. Looks like we are going to see some after effects of your lobbying 😜
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I'd love to take : "Terra (LUNA) vs Synthetix (SNX)" guide if it's fine with everyone? :)
That would be great :)
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Just posted on leofinance.
https://leofinance.io/@esmeesmith/terra-luna-vs-synthetix-snx
It seems ecency auto edits the front end URLs.
Just looking at the Synths page on Synthetix, they have stablecoins too.
Is there anything that Luna does better or more decentralised?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I honestly have no clue. If we are doing Terra, it will be another educational experience for me.

I think that by Christmas the Bitcoin will reach 100,000 dollars. Or put another way, the dollar will be worth half that now.
What I wonder is where are Hive and Leo?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
If Bitcoin is $100K, I would say that LEO and HIVE will be much higher.
They are going to be higher without Bitcoin going that high in my opinion. We have a lot rolling out.

I want to preface this post by saying I'm in no way a Ripple fan and have zero interest in buying what I see as a centralised anti-crypto.
But...
Their story is pretty lit.
Check out Edicted's take on LeoFinance today:
From there, I want to go back and share this Ripple vs SEC long form read on Decrypt.

Ripple is taking on the SEC which makes me a fan of them.
I dont support the token or the project just their fight with the government.

Hey Guys,
Yesterday was India's 75th Independence Day. The whole day I was asking this question to myself - Are we really 'FREE'?
Then I bought a few satoshis and smiled a little. :))
Freedom is right there in front of us, just have to take the leap. ✌🚀
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Happy Independence Day! Yes, it's good to know you're as free as you want to be.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Thanks a ton, mate. I consider myself privileged enough to be at this stage. But everyone deserves such kind of freedom. I hope more and more people join the party. ✌🚀

Freedom is a relative word.
Good job on the satoshis.

Nice Independence Day win over the English in the cricket too!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Oh yeah. Cherry on the cake! 😂
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Happy late independence day. It's quite different from the one in the US where the mainstream media was telling you not to celebrate it.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Thanks, J. Most Indians are high on nationalism so celebrations were on full blast. The government forgot so many people died due to covid a few months ago and they were only boasting about their so-called achievements.

Circle, the primary developer of $USDC, is getting ready to become a full-reserve digital bank.
Will this move make USDC the ultimate stablecoin? Still not better than HBD. 😋
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
HBD needs to expand a great deal before we can see it moving up the ranks. LOL
USDC is going to get some attention if Circle gets into the banking game. That will already put them in the hands of the regulators which actually bodes well for USDC.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That's right Task. We need HBD on LPs on DEXs and more pairs on CEXs.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well...it sounds like good news for Circle but I think the regulations will be much more strict. I expect the Fed and the government to stick their hands inside.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That's right! The government would not want anyone else to take over their control.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Question.
Do you think Electric Vehicles manufacturers are future investment for us?
Like investment into those companies would yield good outcome?
The market is certainly a great investment but, like always, choosing winners and losers is not easy.
Many of the most promising projects are from start ups and that carries a large degree of risk. It is still early in the process and there will be a lot of failures.
Very intensive capital business.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It will for sure !
When countries and continents like Europe want to forbid new thermic vehicles in 2050 that means that investing into EV now would for sure give a great income because most of them will have a way bigger share of the market in few decades. Without even speaking of TESLA which is totally different because they are investing in so many different markets.

Ethereum is more popular than bitcoin among Singapore's crypto investors.
Singapore is one of the emerging crypto hubs in ASIA mostly due to its crypto-friendly regulations.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The problem with surveys is that I don't really trust them as much anymore. It might be the fact that ETH has more development and thus people are more confident in its future.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Tesla is now using the China Gigafactory as an export hub.
Some claim that the demand for Tesla in China is waning. We will have to see how long this last. It is typical for Tesla to export large numbers during the first month in a quarter and then reserve the other two quarters for mostly local delivery.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think it was to be expected with the Chinese governments push to support their own local EV makers.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Always impressed by how Tesla consistenly delivered and reached milestones beside being under constant fire and FUD from many haters.
Elon, you are truly special even if a bit crazy xD
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Tesla Gigafactory Berlin was scheduled to begin production by the end of July. Delays have kicked that back due to permitting issues.
We will see how many lawsuits are filed between now and then.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well with Merkel there, I would say its a coin flip to see if the permit actually goes through.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Indeed... Merkel who shut down nuclear plants and opened back the coal ones !
And then Germans lecture other nations on ecology. F***** hypocrites. The only way to reduce CO2 emission in the short term (not in 50 years) is NUCLEAR. Period.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
German automakers trying to slow down the rise of their competitor?
It could definitely be the case. Remember the diesel gate, most CEOs and cheaters stayed at the helm of their respective companies.
The justice failed the victims (every European breathing) ; fines and jail times were an insult...
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Tesla Model Y becoming very popular.
They have a 4.5 month backlog waiting to be filled. This is incredible for the company.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Does anyone know when Splinterlands will enable fights again? I tried to do my daily quest a few hours ago and it wouldn't let me do ranked battles.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I'm still waiting for that too but have heard no update. At least you can collect the airdrop now.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Afghanistan is facing a major human rights crisis. A militant organization called the Taliban is taking over the country. They have already captured the key cities and even entered the capital city Kabul.
Most people are fleeing the country but not everyone can afford it. Women and kids are suffering the most. They are losing their rights and if they revolt, they lose their lives. My thoughts are with them.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I've been following that as well since they took over the first time, something unusual happened. You know, it's always easier to complain about the job someone else is doing, but much different when you're in that position yourself.
I recall reading articles about the Taliban complaining about governing after they got into power. Turns out dealing with the issues of actually running a government, put them in the bullseye whenever things went wrong. I think we'll see the same thing this time around. Now that they have all of the power, they'll have no one else to blame...
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The country has been in a turmoil all this while and now they are back at it once again. Going 100 years backwards for sure.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well I would definitely say the way we are getting out of the country is bad. Generally you would at least get rid of the documents, send the citizens home and then pull out. What the current administration is doing is the complete opposite. We pulled out before evacuating people.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
You should see the videos of the Afghan men hanging onto the engines of these huge US military planes as it's taxiing down the runway about to takeoff. Some of them fell once the plane was in flight, so sad.

Over the weekend, Bitcoin moved higher. It is now targeting $50K. We will see what happens if it gets there.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It could happen. We are not in uncharted waters with Bitcoin.
I am not sure what they are worth but the Bitcoin forecasters are putting $100K on the table by the end of the year.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
$100K looks like a distant dream from where we are standing right now. But who knows. It's crypto!
When bitcoin rallies, there's no stopping. Moreover, 2021 seems like a great year so far. The other half must not disappoint. Fingers crossed!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It is but it is really not that big a deal for crypto nor Bitcoin. We had a 50% drop at the drop of a hat.
A nice run up so far but it a double from here is no uncharacteristic.
Neither is a 60% pullback either.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That's true T. It can go anywhere from this point onwards but we are good since it is going up overall. Ups and Dips are parts of the process.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yep, that 50K level is acting like a magnet now!
Ah, you've gotta love human beings and our predictable ticks.
Check out this updated Bitcoin chart with just simple support/resistance lines drawn at the major 00 psychological levels:
All the way up, those 00 levels are respected, for no other reason than because they're easy for the human brain to get excited about.
As soon as 50K goes, I can't see it taking long to reach 100K Bitcoin.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea those psychological levels always throw me off. Sometimes I can't figure out whether or not I should just use known levels of supports or the psychological numbers.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Wow. That's great to know. Can't imagine what will happen once it reaches 100K. People are going to go crazy and then start investing in it. 😂
I am BTMFD but there seems to be no dip so I am buying daily in tiny bits.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
What do you mean there was no dip?
We dipped 50% from 60K in April, to 30K in July.
You had 3 months to BTMFD ;)
But as we haven't even come close to making a new high yet, we're still technically inside the dip.
So keep MFB-ing!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
LOL, that's true. Anything below ATH is still cheap. Bitcoin is programmed to go in one direction in long term. ✌ Safest bet in crypto.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I do think the 50k level will reach. Whether or not it holds, I do not know in the short term though.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I can still recall the hand-wringing when Bitcoin was in the 30K range. They were ready to bury crypto but we knew better. Good to see this rebound.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Perhaps the Drone Market is in a hype cycle.
We see this a lot with technology. The hype far outpaces the advancements in research. Even Amazon can get overambitious.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
First, they replaced people with drones and now they are removing the people who handle those drones. Handling deliveries to different locations where there are so many unknown parameters. Making such a system with flying robots gets difficult.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I am not sure they replaced any people with drones. They were trying to get that division of the company started.
Seems like Amazon is falling behind some of the other companies.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
This is surprising, but also it isn't. They overpromised. You'd think that if anybody with their reams of data on customers and regions due to their drivers would get this right, it'd be Amazon. However, hearing about the chaos and constant changes in teams, makes the failure of Amazon Air perfectly understandable.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Seems they are falling behind UPS on this one.
There is a lot of competition and Amazon, much to our surprise, is not going to win everything.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well as technology improves, those jobs just become useless. It was to be expected but I am sure the workers are not happy.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
MiamiCoin is continuing to grow.
It seems like MiamiCoin is off to a good start. This article is a bit dated but it was a good first couple of days.
The city is getting richer every 10 minutes.
It will be fun to see if this takes off and the viability for cities to raise funds. San Francisco is next on tap.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Turns out, you can mine MiamiCoin.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That is the only way to get it at this point. I am not sure it is even being sold on any markets.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I wonder if we will start seeing more local community coins pop up. It seems like a good way to generate some investments and spur economic activity.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
If this one ends up as successful, I would imagine these will spread like hot cakes. Every city will jump on board. Even politicians who cant understand or like crypto will be on board: they all love money.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The City of Miami might be richer than we think.
So cant be sure if there was $1 million of MiamiCoin mined or the City's portion of what was out is that.
Seems to me that the total mining would be $1 million in the first few days.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Wow. That's cool. It would be fun to see such coins popping up in Indian cities. MumbaiCoin 😂
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It could happen one day.
We could see this ending property taxes.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Always some interesting opinioins.
Not sure I agree with this but there are some good points made.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Nice article! The idea is to get the best out of both worlds. The best example is Cub Finance. It's CeDeFi and we get to have a great user experience in terms of fees, liquidity, speed & security.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yes but that is today. What if we could see that built in a more decentralized manner.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I don't really agree that much with it. I personally do wish we see more decentralized systems but centralized systems are needed as we transition.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yepp, the future is more decentralized once the majority of the population gets involved. Until then we have to use the current systems and make the best out of them. Make a profit and buy more bitcoin and hive. 😂
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I think the situation is we have the hybrid situation until we get more infrastructure in place. The users are secondary in this matter. It all comes down to what is available to build upon.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I agree with you on this. It's great that brilliant minds are building already. Hive blockchain is an amazing place to create and run cool DApps.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
We need about 3 @splinterlands.
If we do that, then we will be in ideal position.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Haha. That would be great. If we can have 3 Leo Finance then all of us are set for life. ✌️
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
A lot is coming out about the idea of the Metaverse. We are going to see a lot more articles about this over the next years if the news cycle is correct.
Either way, this is a good read to get us thinking about 20-40 years might be like.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
If we could upload our mind online, would we still be considered alive or dead?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Would you be an original or a copy?
These are all questions that are debated by those who are into that sort of thing.
I guess we can only wait and see. Who knows what it will look like if it even comes to being. Still just theory at this time.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Dead but not dead. No it is not humans.
Interesting time to be making a comeback in energy.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well I don't really think it will do that well. I have a feeling that they will just declare bankruptcy again and have the courts start them back up again.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
These corporations really know how to use the bankruptcy laws to their favor. Of course, it is bad news for the stockholders.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
We saw this coming as more of the Bitcoin miners that were forced out of China started to come back online.
It also coincides with a run up in the markets.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea I wonder if the entire reason why we took such a huge dive down was because of how people in China needed to dump everything they can before everything got worst.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well the miners were shut off. So until they were relocated and placed in a new country, they were dead in terms of hashrate.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
This is a bank that is extremely crypto-friendly. It is also backed by Warren Buffett.
Interesting combination.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I don't understand Warren Buffet and why he would back the bank. Then again it might just be the fundamentals matching up with what he expected.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I dont know the bank but I am going to presume it is a very profitable bank. The fact that they are involved with cryptocurrency probably is only from the point of earning fees, something Buffett does understand.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Who holds the highest percentage of cryptocurrency ownership globally? Interesting question.
I never would have guessed that. That one flew under the radar.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
We're #26? UK is #27? If this was about mining I could understand, but ownership? Of course reading about remittances brings the story into clearer focus. I would have expected African countries to place higher on the list as well, as I know mobile payments are huge there.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yes the countries with a less stable payment system is likely to score higher. It is a bit misleading. However, we can see how much things are starting to spread out.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That's a shocker! I thought South Korea or Singapore would be on the top.
India is at no. 2 with Indonesia and we are just getting started.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Oh I didn't think that as well. The US doesn't even make the list.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The US has a stable payment system so adoption is based upon speculation, not utility.
Cryptocurrencys first utility was payments.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Scaling is on everyone's mind and for good reason.
I am sure glad Blocktrades and the rest of the team spend the first year after the fork working on optimizing the chain. This puts Hive in a fantastic position.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea the scaling solutions were a good idea. At least I didn't see such a huge strain compared to when WAX got popular with Alien Worlds.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Anyone familiar with Gitcoin? I have not heard of it.
I never heard of this one. Perhaps this would be a great topic for someone to write an article about. Perhaps it would be good to try and SEO.
Could this be a candidate for a crypto guide @forexbrokr?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Nope, I hadn't heard of Gitcoin before either.
While that sounds cool on the surface, I can't help but think that Hive could do it better...
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Certainly agree with you there on that.
It still could help get Leofinance some raking with that keyword.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
So we get some clarity to the crypto section of the infrastructure bill.
It seems the Department of Treasury, which houses the IRS, is going to clarify what "broker" means. Thus, it will interpret it not to involve cryptocurrency miners or other block validators (We hope).
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Fingers crossed this has been a highly debated bill and has the potential to do more harm than good.
I dont think it will end up doing much to the industry. This will end up litigated out long before it becomes law.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Binance in the news again.
CZ cannot be sleeping well these days.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Even the Iranians feel cryptocurrency should be regulated.
Always ironic how they hate having others exert control over them but perfectly willing to do it to their citizens.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Nice so that the world will know about us
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
An interesting article incase your account is ever hacked. If they power down your account, at least your funds will be where you want them.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Marky puts out some great stuff in the area of cybersecurity on Hive.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Is GameFi now officially a word?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The best part about #crypto regulations is it gives coders something to develop around.
They put down their regulations and we simply go in another directions. The governments will always be playing catch up.
We can code faster than they can regulate.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
This is different than the regular market cap high. It is an interesting perspective.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I guess exposing flaws is a good thing.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
More about decentralized twitter or is it?
Although it is not exactly looking to create decentralized twitter.
So its a decentralized standard protocol that is being created. This is a far cry from an application. While it is good in the long run, it seems this is to take the heat off old Jack.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The Flippening?
It is a long way from that but it does show how utility is starting to take over. We will see what Hive has to rollout in the next 4 or 5 months. There is a lot going on.
This is going to be fun to watch.
