RE: Weekend-engagement topic week 24: Passions [Get paid for yours]

Stubborn...Yep, good call. I won't do something I don't want to, rarely have I been made to do so in my 50 years. 😉

Afraid 2021 may be as bad as this one...The financial fall out. Besides, a vaccine isn't a 100% answer for the pandemic. It could bring more problems...Zombies maybe?

I don't really trust in those vaccines. I feel they are being done too quickly. And the zombies are a little overrated😂 Have you seen The Walking Dead? Zombies were the least of their problems.

About the stubborn thing didn´t meant to offend you, was a joke, sorry if i did.

I won't be lining up for a vaccine that's for sure. I'll let it thin the population out a bit first, wait for vac2.0 or vac 7.0 or just never get it at all.

Yeah, I've seen the Walking Dead and you're right, it's the people that will be the issue in a situation like that - Human nature is predictable., and often quite poor, self-centred and egotistical.

No offence on the stubborn thing...I'm actually not that stubborn, resolute is a better word.

Yeah a 7.0 vac sounds good hahahaha So sad that human beings are so primitive, maybe one day we will change.

I agree about the primitive comment, but change? Hmm, maybe for the worse...Human behaviour seems to be declining; The loss of courtesy, respect, understanding, honesty and the rise of hubris, ego and narcissism...I hope change for the better happens however only time will tell.

#vac7.0.1.2 Lol.

Yeah... and if you knew that i'm not even sure that we are improving, i feel that every day we care less about improving ourselves and helping others... but i want to think that there are more people who do it as me, and maybe someone will follow my example... you know, motivational speaking 😂 hope is the last thing you lose, right?

#vac7.0.1.2 yes yes, i think it will work, and it ends up with an even number.

Hope is a human emotion common to most of us. Action makes things happen but hope can provide the impetus for action I guess. I also hope there's some good people out there and we can begin to move in the right direction. 🙄

Ownership, responsibility and action peppered with some hope and a little good luck and we might be on the right track.

Don´t you want also all the planets to aling to get it? daaaamn too much conditions, hahahahaha jk. Although I've never had any good luck at all. Where do i get some?

I don't trust the vaccines, either. I'll be more than happy to let 100 million or so try it out before I do. I think I will get a vaccine eventually...

I've had a look at the Pfizer methodology. It's fucking rushed, but I think they followed all the steps. I'm a little concerned that some steps were done concurrently but...

I suspect vaccines will be required for travel at some point. Then I'll pick one...

I expect 2021 to be at least as bad as 2020. The first half (here in the US) will be riddled with dead people. If we don't slow this spike yesterday we will end up with 400,000 cases per day by Jan. 1. The vaccines won't be generally available here until at least April and that's a LOT of dead folks in between.

Couple that with the financial aspects and I expect that we might look back on 2020 fondly at some point. Zombies might be a nice diversion.

Yes Tom, all you say and more I fear, although hopefully we're both monumentally wrong and 2021 is a glorious year. I'm not going to hold my breath though.

I also think the vaccine is being rushed and it's not something one wants to rush I guess...I seriously doubt we'll know the full story until they start injecting people with a substance that does who know what...And even then we may never know. I don't even get the flu shot so I'll not be standing in line.

Exactly. I've never had a flu shot.

I'm going to wait as long as I can, but I really suspect it will be tied to travel. I'm sure a vax will be a requirement to enter Canada or to exit Mexico at the very least. Both of which I plan on doing :)

I also suspect that certain states will require it. Arizona probably won't but California and Washington will. Both regular destinations with me. The idea of running the speed limit because I haven't been vaccinated is pretty foreign to me. I can, but...

Yes, I tend to agree and think that entry requirements to countries will lift to include a vaccination certificate or some such. Maybe they could make us wear an identifying marker on our clothing. A star on our left chest perhaps to mark us. It's been done before.

Crazy world we're living in Tom. Crazy.

I'm sure, absolutely positive that RFID chip implantation will be an option because it will make it so much easier to go through the airports and customs and such... If that's the choice I'm a non player. Period.

You know that Sam has an RFID chip? When he's out wandering (it's happened twice) the Animal Control guy scans him and calls me up so he doesn't even have to go to doggy jail.
