2020 was meant to be the year of vision, yet so far, we have largely seen a lot of freakin' nonsense in just about every facet of life. But, it is all inline with the randomness of life (even the engineered parts) and while we can't control much of what happens to us, we should probably at least attempt to improve upon what is within our possibility to control.
So, for my first #AskHive post, I thought it might be a bit of fun to explore what we might want and what is getting in our way of achieving it.
Three questions:
Where do you want your life to be in three years?
What do you think you need to do to get there?
What is stopping you from doing those things now?
You can answer in the comments or write a post about it and link it here.
You might want to have some fun with it and make us laugh.
You could realize you have no hope of getting there, feel ashamed and keep it to yourself.
You might think about it and actually work toward it.
It is up to you - just like it will be for the rest of your life.

It’s not strange, but almost everything suits me. I have a wonderful family, a wonderful job actively working on myself. The only thing I do not have yet, but I will definitely have in 3 years (I hope even earlier), is my own housing and a new car. Of course, I still really want to see all relatives alive and healthy.
To continue daily working on yourself, acquire new skills and abilities. Continue to work at the same job that I work and additionally devote 2-4 hours a day to things aimed at earning (investing, trading, participating in promotions, etc.). In parallel, to find time to enjoy life and enjoy communicating with family while they are around.
Nothing, while writing a comment I carry out points 1 and 2 (work on myself and participation in promotions, etc.).
I am glad you are doing fine!
And it's just an observation but it always comes in this order for some funny reason
Why no one actually writes it in this sequence lol
Great observation. Perhaps the first desires entirely depend on my actions. With the life and health of others, there is already how it will turn out.
The funny thing is that you can probably argue just about anything in the world. But i like your answer, that might just by the case why. At least you give some thoughtful reasoning where others failed :)
It would be a desire, and understanding why this is necessary, then everything is possible.
It's nice to see someone actively working toward where they actually want to be - it is surprisingly rare these days.
It’s not realistic to argue, even if I really want to:)
I want to exhibit my art in a different galleries in many countries and sell it. I would like to have invitations for exhibitions. I would like to have a house. Very good questions. I wish to achieve my dreams...
Dreams are hard to achieve, as the goalposts seem to keep moving depending on the moment. However, building good internal processes generally allows for flexibility when the dreams change.
Yes, indeed.
I wish you do!
Thanks. :)
I want to publish my first novel and have the financial means to freely commit to writing the second one without having to split my time between writing and my current day job. In three years time, I want to be a full-time writer and internet marketer and travel for at least six months of every year.
I have already devised a plan and committed to it: work on building small habits like daily writing, reading and meditating, and other business-related things like building websites and writing email campaigns. (the cool part is that I have already successfully followed this exact blueprint a few years ago, but made the mistake of getting sidetracked somewhere down the line)
Nothing - I am committed and the plan is under way. I just have to persevere and not let anything sidetrack me or use excuses to procrastinate.
Out of curiosity, what sidetracked you and would you get sidetracked again?
It was a fifty fifty split between perfectionism (I was on a roll, making great money, and I procrastinated on a project because I didn't see the whole picture) and a fairly catastrophic financial blow not of my making that hit me just as I was resting on my laurels.
And after that, inertia...
But I'm ready to kick ass again, big time!!! #NoExcuses
Inertia is definitely a force to consider, up and down. Would be nice to have it working on ups a bit more :)
I am sure you will!
In the midst of this quarantine, we have enough time to think about the future and little freedom to start doing so. Excellent questions. Greetings, @tarazkp.
For much of what we need to do to improve ourselves, we don't need to leave the house :)
millennial president in 2024 that represents the next gen
Question two and three yet to be answered...
And the road to get there? :)
Good post on self accountability and imrovemet. Wish to write honestly on the topic but seems hard to do so as to adressing question three😉
Why is that hard to answer?
I definitely want to be an Orca at 50K HP. And I want to be a millionaire via Hive :)
What do you need to do to get there and what is stopping you?
That is a great question. Nothing is really stopping me , tbh :)
Then, see you there in three years :)
Mhmmm.... :)
Where do you want your life to be in three years? - I would like to create a project of my own.
What do you think you need to do to get there? - My time and energy
What is stopping you from doing those things now? - My laziness
Have you researched ways to overcome laziness?
In my experience, it generally has an underlying issue that needs to be dealt with first, rather than trying to force it with willpower.
Yes researched, the problem seems to be travelling time to office, which cannot be reduced. Though I try to keep motivation alive in weekends but with family around, get too little time to even do something substantial.
Finding time can be difficult. For me, it isn't just finding the time, it is finding the right time. I am most creative in the evening, so I find my time then. Most of what I do is between 9pm and 1am - the commute time for me is useless for creation, but great for podcasts. :)
Thank you for this one. You've made action and this is reaction. Third law of motion.
