Hive Tips: Content Selection and Presentation Strategy

in OCD4 years ago

A content has so many different looks! Sometimes it's funny, sometimes serious, sometimes logical or sometimes it's structural. Whatever the look a content has doesn't matter if it lacks two things -

  • Benefits for audience
  • Lots of data

Whenever you have these two things in your content, we can consider it as a perfect content. Besides these two things, some other factors also matter while writing a content and selecting a niche. Let's learn more!

Benefits for Audience

You are writing for your readers. Audience will understand if you're just writing for some Hive token, it's not possible to make your readers fool. You can't just write something without passion just for some Dollar!

Always keep in mind that your readers are talented than you. And they are hungry to know more, to gather more knowledge. They will explore your content to learn about new things. So, if they sense that you're not adding any value in their lifestyle, they will just walk away from you and never turn back.

So select a niche according to your skill, find a niche related community to post your content, and write content for your readers with passion.

Believe me! If you do this, you don't have to run after rewards; rewards will come to you.

Lots of data

Suppose I wrote what are the benefits of being a good writer. I think everyone knows this. But everyone doesn't know how to be a good writer. I think I should mention the ways of being a good writer in my content as well. Content can be called proper content if it can provide enough data.

You have to input all the necessary data in a content. Suppose you know 6 methods of "Passive Income". So while writing content on Passive Income Methods you must disclose all the methods. It's not a good idea to write 3 methods and ignore others.

The more data you include, the more your content will be acceptable to the audience.

Written in fluent language

Some days ago, I talked about it in another article. I am not a native English writer. Still, I have enough courage to write for native readers. It doesn't mean that I am a good writer. But I am trying to write in a smooth and easy language. I am trying to improve my writing skills day by day.

During my journey as a blogger, I found that people love to read the article in clear and easy language. So don't worry if you're not a native English blogger. As long as you have a passion for blogging, you can write. To make your content clear and transparent, you should keep in mind that -

  • After finishing your writing, read again and again before posting. Post it if you think readers will love it. Otherwise, make the necessary changes.

  • If you have lots of grammatical mistakes in your posts, you'll lose readers for sure. So proofread and edit your article before posting. Use free tools like Grammarly if needed.

  • This is not a competition! Don't copy other's writing styles. Create your own techniques.

Post in the Right Place

Suppose you want to sell your cell phone on eBay. Now if you post an ad under the category " Computer & Tablets", nobody is going to buy that product. Because the buyer will browse the section "Computer & Tablets" for computers or laptops, not for cellphones. It makes sense if you post under the category - Cellphone and accessories.

Your content marketing works exactly the same. You're writing a "Gaming Review", so you should post under the tag #game or any gaming-related communities. It's not a good idea to post your Artwork to "Movie Review" or any offtopic group. You will lose potential readers and you may earn lots of rewards just for posting in the wrong place.

A few days ago, one of my followers was so desperate and told me in the comment section that - He isn't earning money even after writing quality content and wishes to leave Hive.

I gave a look at his profile and found that he is an awesome writer, far better than me. But he did some major posting mistakes. He posted almost all his contents with wrong or unnecessary tags. There're big communities in Hive named Gems, OCD or Travelfeed. Posting with #gems or #ocd tags (As your first tag) and ignoring those communities won't give you a better payout.

Importance of Visual Contents

Probably you don't know that 65% of your readers are visual learners, people love to see than read. That's why I use lots of images for my content. 90% of information transmitted to the brain is visual.

A few days ago I used 7 funny gif image in a single post and got some good response. And I understood that just texts and normal images make your article boring, sometimes add something funny to make your content more attractive. Which means you're visually attracting your content.

To make your post visually attractive you may add related images, memes, infographics, branded quotes, videos, presentations, screenshots, etc.

Develop a Unique Writing Style

Whatever you write, it must be your own. Because you own a particular style, that doesn't match with other bloggers. I have my own writing style, you have another style and that's the uniqueness of blogging.

Some readers may love John's writing style, some readers may love Ron's. But if Ron follows every writing style of John, Ron may lose credibility. You may acquire some idea, some knowledge to make yourself better, you can't just copy other's styles.

So these are my tips for you guys while writing your content for Hive. Here're some other tricks which may help you on your Hive Journey -

  • It is a big deal to create content by selecting the audience. I write for some online Bengali newspaper. But I don't think I will get enough response by writing news in my Native language. So I researched and tracked down - what people want to read most on Hive.

  • It is better if you can write in the form of a story and write in short paragraphs. Readers love to read articles in a sequence, like a story.

  • Add Call to action to your content. Call to Action means adding a hyperlink or some text to create more engagement. It could be two words like "Follow ME" or sentence like "If you love my contents feel free to reblog".

I hope you enjoyed this article with lots of Hiving tips. Share your love by upvoting and reblogging this blog.

Look! I am already following the Call to Action rule! ;)
