At the beginning of this year, I gave myself a goal to read at least 50 books and even though I have been in what @macchiata had called a reader's block, I have managed to read five books this 2022, and I will be reviewing each of them and how I felt about them.

It is important to note that I have already reviewed two books on this list but without further ado, let’s get to reviewing.

Paris has to struggle to figure out what to do with her life since she has no experience working and also, has to navigate getting back into the dating game.
MY THOUGHTS
I enjoyed reading this novel thoroughly and it was one of those novels that got me riled up mad at certain characters, even enough it had some boring parts of it, I would read it again if I had nothing to read.

Disfruté mucho leyendo esta novela y fue una de esas novelas que me hizo enojar con ciertos personajes, incluso tenía algunas partes aburridas, la volvería a leer si no tuviera nada que leer.

This book is a collection of twelve fictional stories surrounding the love lives of women in Lagos, Nigeria.
It is written from the unique perspective of each woman and showcases their lives in a rather relatable way.
MY THOUGHTS
The only reason I read this book was because everyone was raving about it around me and I am glad I read it, the book was intense to me and I didn’t drop my phone until I finished it.
My only problem was that I didn’t like the way some stories ended and I felt like I needed more.
Also, I think there needs to be a disclaimer because there is a lot of sexism in this book.

MI PENSAMIENTOS
La única razón por la que leí este libro fue porque todos a mi alrededor estaban entusiasmados con él y me alegro de haberlo leído, el libro fue intenso para mí y no solté mi teléfono hasta que lo terminé.
Mi único problema era que no me gustaba cómo terminaban algunas historias y sentía que necesitaba más.
Además, creo que debe haber un descargo de responsabilidad porque hay mucho sexismo en este libro.

The term “bitch” is said to be satirical by the author and is used to define a woman who is strong, has her own identity, and is secure.
MY THOUGHTS
I didn’t like this book because it made relationships feel like a game and made men look bad in my opinion, sadly I have a hardcover of this book but I don’t think I will be reading it again.

No me gustó este libro porque hacía que las relaciones se sintieran como un juego y hacía que los hombres se vieran mal en mi opinión, lamentablemente tengo una tapa dura de este libro pero no creo que lo vuelva a leer.

He gives principles, strategies, etc. about making money and goes further to break each rule into its own individual section as there are five.
MY THOUGHTS
Richard Templar is one of my favorite authors so I am a bit biased about whatever he writes and this book isn’t any different, I loved this book and I keep going back to certain rules in the book.

Richard Templar es uno de mis autores favoritos, así que soy un poco parcial sobre lo que escribe y este libro no es diferente, me encantó este libro y sigo volviendo a ciertas reglas en el libro.

The book shows each of their struggles and assures us that in life there is always a rainbow at the end of a storm.
MY THOUGHTS
This was one book I had mixed feelings about, for me I felt like the author made this book a little too predictable and I would have appreciated some twists and turns.

I feel like in the end, I enjoyed reading a lot of these books and there are some that I will definitely be reading again.
Moving forward, I will try to keep up with reading at least one book a week so I can reach my goal, probably surpass it and also be a part of the challenge by @macchiata.

Danielle Steele is one of my fave authors but I find her books from the early 2000s and later to be boring for the most part. I'm not surprised at your review.
I like Nearly All The Men In Lagos Are Mad. It's funny and relatable. But the sex scenes were unnecessary in some of the stories, they seem forced.
Why Men Marry Bitches. See, you hit the nail on the head. It makes relationships look like a game and I don't have the patience to continue so I never finished it. I steer clear from books like this.
Someone mentioned The Rules of Money on the bookchat and I downloaded it. I still haven't opened it though. Since you all have been raving about the author I will actually read it.
For the last book, the cover isn't enticing at all and your review doesn't help lol.
I feel like the problem is Danielle Steel's books is that they are too long, it is hard to keep up.
The sex scenes in nearly all the men in Lagos are men are forced, I think the author was trying to throw a mix of erotica or something.
Why men love bitch and marry bitches is just trash, I think most dating advice books are.
You should read the rules of money, there are some gems but it can get tiring especially if you have prior knowledge of finance.
The last people isn't that bad just too predictable which I don't enjoy.

5 books already, that's impressive. I've been on a reading block for so many months now. I need to find time to start reading.
Funny enough I haven't read any of the books here, but if in to read one it'll be "Nearly all men in Lagos are mad". It has a funny title.
Hopefully I get to surpass the 50 I set, I think most times, the reason we don't read is because we don't want to read fictional books, that was my problem.
You can start by reading that book, it is very interesting and since it's short stories, it is easy to finish.
I actually like fictional books. As long as it's not more than 500-600 pages per story.

You shouldn't judge a book by its title besides most are fictional.
I read books of substance but I also read fictional books, I love the balance but I guess to each it's own.
