I had heard that there were places where it was illegal to plant vegetables in your garden. What the heck is that all about! What happened to freedom!! O dug up a huge bit today to sow garlic and onion. I like to reek a bit :OD

Mmm such good plants. All those bulb Allium types just WANT to grow. I mean you can eat the things, then restart their tops and get more!
Yes the 'freedom' Americans go on about is rubbish and we've not had any such freedoms in this country for decades, really it all changed post Civil War, but most of my fellow compatriots know more about what football team did this or that than even where States are located on a map, so for them to understand the constitution and it's various disuse is a LOT to ask.
Garlic needs a good cold on it to get good, so usually planting it in autumn is good to get it the follwing season, but again, Alliums WANT to grow and multiple so they'll do it!
I didn't know that about the cold thing. Fortunately, is quite cold here up till next month! That might do it!
