The Rock / Der Fels

No, it won't be a post about Dwayne ;) In front of the still relatively dark, violet-colored morning sky, I noticed these free-standing trees on the right side of the mountain.

Nein, das wird kein Bericht über Dwayne ;) Vor dem noch relativ dunklen, violett gefärbten Morgenhimmel sind mir diese frei stehenden Bäume rechts am Abhang des Berges aufgefallen.

This mountain is more of a wooded rock than a mountain, and I don't think it is an important mountain. It is only 1,821 meters high and I even needed quite some time to find it's name.

Dieser Berg ist eher ein bewaldeter Felsen als ein Berg, und ich glaube nicht, dass von großer Bedeutung ist. er ist nur 1.821 Meter hoch und ich habe sogar eine Weile gebraucht, um seinen Namen herauszufinden.

Nevertheless, the last time when I was driving over the Vršič pass at sunrise I took a closer look at it.

Trotzdem habe ich ihn letztes Mal, als ich bei Sonnenaufgang über den Vršič Pass gefahren bin, etwas näher betrachtet.

These trees look so small and filigree, and they are nothing special either, like this rock on which they grow, but somehow I liked them. I also liked the snow, which was lit by the morning sun and laid at the top of the mountain like a pink cap on the bald head of a man, so I didn't want to keep the photos from you.

Diese Bäume schauen so klein und filigran aus, und auch sie sind nichts Besonderes, so wie dieser Felsen, auf dem sie wachsen, aber irgendwie haben sie mir gefallen. Auch der von der Morgensonne angeleuchtete Schnee, der wie eine rosafarbene Kappe auf der Glatze eines Mannes am Kopf des Berges lag, hat mir gefallen, und deshalb wollte ich euch die Fotos auch nicht vorenthalten.

When I began in this company I have been 20 and I have thought all my colleagues were old. Today I am much older than they have been then and I still feel much younger than others in my age ... younger in my heart, not younger in my bones though ;)

It is the same sky I have photographed lately with the cabin in the snow.
I have seen this little mountain quite a few times and these trees have always fascinated me, as all such trees fascinate me when they are standing on the edge of a mountain or such. This time was the first time I have thought of taking some photos too ;)

Howdy today sir johannpiber! I just got on Steemit for the first time today, I think that's a record! I worked on cutting a big tree down today and got in so late that I gave up on even trying to get a post out.

Why were you not able to take photos of that big rock before? Does it have some kind of force field or cloaking device around it or something?

You were working hard and then you have been tired, that's fully understandable. I hope your work on the tree make progress :)

I just didn't have the right lens with be, because I needed a longer lens than my 70-200mm, and I think the light has never been like on that morning.

Howdy today sir johannpiber! Did you work again this weekend? What did you do?
Yeah, I just got in from working some more on that tree, it's a huge one with several giant trunks that I'm cutting down, they grew sideways over our lawn and I got tired of it being in the way to mow so I'm taking it out.

The trunk I used an axe on today was about a foot in diameter, the next one is about 2 feet thick so that's going to be a challenge. I could use your help if you're in the neighborhood. lol.

No, I didn't work this weekend - I made a little trip to some waterfalls on Saturday and today I have just made a little walk at the reservoir near our town.

I don't think that I want to help you with that tree, because I think this work is good for you and keeps you in shape ... and unfortunately I am not in your neighborhood ;)
