Who is lazy? Definitely not me. My response to President Buhari who called Nigerian youths lazy

in #politics6 years ago (edited)

President-Muhammadu-Buhari.jpg
While we are guaranteed freedom of speech, there is no guarantee as to what will occur after we speak. Being a first citizen is more than a responsibility, it is a mantle of responsibility passed on to a person expected to be the fore runner.
There is this popular saying: The Horse at the back looks to the one(Horse) in front and emulates it, so if the number one citizen calls us lazy and he is the Horse at the front, perhaps he should reconsider the gravity that statement holds.

A leader that cannot even say good things about his country and it's citizens is basically unfit to rule. A while back, while seeking for aid from Germany through the German counsellor, he said "his wife is ONLY meant for the kitchen and other room" negating his wife to the role of a cook and a sex slave. The irony of it all was that the German counsellor happens to be a woman.

With an epileptic educational system whereby youths have to read to even pass an exam which is not a true determinant of their mental capacities, they even are not guaranteed a job despite having a first class. I know of a first class graduate who does commercial motorcycle business to fend for himself. How will such provide for his family?
A president who put the wrong people in the wrong offices, who did not even bother to take time, after wasting our precious time to select ministers. Is that not the height of laziness? Not being up to the task.

Some years back, you threatened to soak the blood of even baboons in blood if you were not elected, you were so lazy as not to wait your turn, remember that Nigerians remember, we won't forget the innocent people who died while serving their country because you were too lazy to win an election the right way.
The Apple does not fall too far from the tree, where is your daughter? I know where she is, she is busy forming third wife in a rich man's house because she is too lazy to hustle and guess what? She is so lazy she cannot even stay online to assure Nigerians of a better future.

You think politics is for the weak? Please remind us again how many times you took breaks just to treat yourself for an illness you were too lazy to come out and tell us the nature of it.
We are not fools, the guns and cutlasses used to threaten us won't work this time. We have our voters card and we will vote. Yes! we will vote you out of Aso rock and back to Daura. We might vote you out of Duara and Nigeria as a whole if possible.

Anytime you are given an unscripted moment, we only hear jargons because you are too lazy to actually research how real leaders are to act. Don't worry, you and your lazy cabinet will get the red card. You have not only failed, you have abysmally disgraced a whole nation of hardworking people. You have added insult to injury.

You called us lazy here, we won't forget. Here are your exact words below...
"A lot of them (Nigerian youths) haven’t been to school and they are claiming, you know, that Nigeria has been an oil-producing country therefore they should sit and do nothing and get housing, health care, education, free,”
Remember that when the head is rotten... This is a true picture of yourself.

Please explain how the tens of millions of people SEARCHING for jobs are lazy? You have just displayed your ignorant inadequacies. I will still go further...

We have millions of graduates who enter the unemployment market annually, please explain again how they do not go to school?
You called us lazy despite being myopic in your leadership, explain these images of youths not wanting to be limited by your inadequacies...

Why should I blame you, you don't even know the name of your vice president nor the name of your party. Please define laziness again?
If you think I am lying on you, you called your own vice president Osunbande instead of Osinbanjo, please watch the first few seconds of the clip that follows

O how did you forget the name of your party?
He said: “We will ever remain grateful to you because there are fundamental objectives that are identify of All Nigeria’s People’s Congress." Meanwhile the name of his party is All progressive congress.

Does it stop there? Hell no! The president even forgot the name of the electoral body in Nigeria (INEC). He said it was Independent Nigerian Electoral Commission instead of Independent National Electoral commission. More on it here

That was how he also called Chancellor of Germany(Merkel) the president of West Germany and even called her another name entirely. A good and hardworking president does his or her research. And please how did the chibok girls get abducted from "hotels" according to you.
You can get more info from here.

Even @ned and @donkeypong have made more Nigerians smile than your entire household combined. Don't get me started on my sleeping and waking cycle. Yet you called us lazy. You are lazy! Lazy enough not to make out time to see the beauty of Nigeria in it's youths. Shame on you!

I am not Nigerian, but closely relate to Nigerians that most times i a mistaken for one.
At some point, i gave benefit of doubt to the president, thinking that he might have said those words while he meant something else... So maybe he dnt mean it and it just came out wrong, but the more i listened to that clip, the clearer it sounded And i was disappointed in him.

If i know how to hustle now, its because of the Nigerians that i have encountered in my life.

Even those running streets, boys don't sleep day and night hustling to better their lives. Put a Nigerian man in Pakistan and he will prosper. What was this guy thinking?

You can say anything else that is arguably bad about Nigerian youth but Not lazy.

You deserve a honorary citizenship.

yes sir!!!!

true talk sweety

The reality of the Nigerian situation in contradiction to what this man presented to the world at an international gathering is annoying. A leader should never speak ill of his people, he has done so and this is not even the first time.
The international community now has strong basis to take away investment opportunities, deny hardworking nigerians good jobs abroad due to the rubbish said by an ignorant old fool.

The same Nigeria where these lazy youths are up as early as 5am on the streets of Lagos to hawk products running after cars in a bid to make the best of the situation bad governance has led us to.

His own son, a graduate, who has not even bothered to be a part of the NYSC, had an accident racing with a friend through the streets of gwarinpa.

Its just sad really.

You know what makes this even worse, this man might eventually win again. We want a change in governance but the opposition is not united. There's Sowore, Fela Durotoye, Kinsgley Moghalu, Ahmed Buhari all vying for the presidency seat.

Eventually they might just end up dividing the votes and give the old fool the simple majority he needs to emerge as the winner...

This is straight to the bone. @Ned has empowered Nigerians than the so called President and @Donkeypong has supported more people larger than his whole local government combined.
@Papa-pepper will laugh cos he knows Nigerians ain't lazy.

I am not lazy same goes for the people around.

Buhari and his Fulani Arms wangling brothers are the only lazy people I know, they can't farm but yet want to feed their cows

Nigerians are talented, Creative and can fit into any society

better truth...tell am

@oguns, you managed to reply to just about every comment. Lol, thank you....

lol thanks my boss....this platform just gave me the oppurtunity to express my fury against Mr president and his comment....long live the boss himself @ehiboss

No President will say such embarrassing statement, Moreso, Nigerians has the most hardworking youth in the world reason why we excel anywhere we go.
I hardly sleep for 3hrs in a day and one useless old fool we come out to tell the whole world that I'm lazy? That is the greatest joke ever.
Anyway, my advice is for all youth to get their pvc ready for the next election and show them that we are not lazy

thank you ooooo my oga

@ehiboss God bless you my brother, I was even trying to be lenient with my own response to this Buhari of a president. It's so sad because like everyone other major blunder this man keeps making, this will swept under the carpet in time, I indulge every well meaning Nigeria youth on this platform, lets not keep making the mistake of endorsing old, rusty and uninformed individuals to political positions no matter the cost.
You have no idea the damage all these international disgrace has and will cost us

rubbish! 😐

What he said actually shows what those in power think of the youths, the old president thinks we(the major hard working ones) are the youths that comes to beg for money from them in Abuja. It shows that they do not care about the masses, they do not know what we need or want save from themselves.
He disgraced the whole federal republic of Nigeria, the sad thing is that the man that could not produce his waec result is the person the country deem fit to vote into power.
It is very painful! They were young when they were ruling the country, they were lazy then and amassed wealth for themselves. Now he has the gut to call us lazy!!!
Lazy to the extent that he can not even fulfil he made during his campaign, what a President!!!

Uneducated president calling us names, even his shameless daughter called us senseless. His unemployed and lazy son owns a bike worth 80 million naira and yet he has the nerve to say he wants to rule for another tenure. Holy Ghost fire. I have my pvc ready to vote his dead brain out.

People like president Buhari that had things very easy in their youthful days and benefitted immensely from the system are the ones calling the Nigerian youth that has no support from anywhere yet still making headway lazy. Is such a person worthy of being the president of such a great nation? This is why we all need to go get our PVC and let them Know that we are not lazy by sending him back to daura come 2019

Don't mind him @ehiboss
A lot of graduate are out there hustling in other to get something to eat.
He is flying around and he called youth lazy.

FB_IMG_15244009116561703.jpg

Look at lazy Nigerian youth

Thanks for sharing @ehiboss

The mistake has been made, we elected the wrong man as president in 2015.

Fellow Lazy Nigerian Youths, let us make sure we vote him out in 2019.

Nigeria youths must arise

Baba the thing weak me, ah swear.
Na only God go save man pikin from all these. How person go talk say Naija youths dey lazy? Issorite!!

2019 dey come shaa.

Like I always say, Nigerians are hustlers. I'm yet to see any counter whose youths strive to make it as much as Nigerians. We survive no matter what condition we find ourselves with a government that cares only about her pockets and how much wealth they can gather from the oil wealth of the country.

It's a pity that our youths still allow themselves to be brainwashed and are ready to kill and snatch ballot boxes over a lil token just to make sure the candidate with the highest pay gets into power and not the candidate with the best agenda.

2019 is here again. Ask yourself, have you got your Voters card?

Nice thoughts you've shared. Not his fault. The same lazy youths voted him into power in 2015. I don't blame him. What do you expect from a leader who has lost touch with the people he is leading?

We aint lazy..the president seem more lazy than us...and that man really got us angry

The truth of the matter is, ranting on social media isn't going to change anything in Nigeria. Nigerian youths should wake up and get active and involved in how they're being ruled. Any Nigerian youth who does not have his/her PVC is actually lazy. How are you going to vote the sick man out? With social media? I don't think so.

Impossibility is nothing. Great revolution sometimes often start small. Social media might look too small in the grand scheme of things in Nigeria's political landscape, but trust me, it's a powerful weapon in the arsenal of Nigerian youths. What's more?. The revolution will be televised.

It's Nigeria we're talking about, the wonderful country with animals swallowing money, presidents ruling from abroad, mazes being carried away in front of everyone. Etc etc people should just get their PVC and vote right.

Yh.. right. Getting the PVC is the first step in the direction.

@ehiboss The same youth that our lazy president called lazy youth voted for him. The lazy man is trying to put all blame of his incompetency. He has failed us. Nigerian youth are intelligent, smart, brave and hardworking! Long live Nigeria!

Nice content. Lot of hard work.

You are so on point. Nigerian youths are waiting patiently for 2019

Less I forget, who are we voting for as his replacement? Hopefully not another recycled old thief.

Nigeria youth are the most hard working

Don't mind all these old men in power
Their problem is associated with old age.
God will raise us a Young Vibrant Youth.
Our Mumu don do!!!!!

Don't worry about your shitty leader there is going to be some Nigerian Steemit Millionaires one day, I guarantee it. Same with Indonesians. Steemit is awesome it doesn't care where you are

The very content and the meaning

Lol. It's great to see this issue on steemit.

let our voters card speak come 2019by God's grace

i don't understand how a president who doesn't care about the youth will say the youth are lazy whereas he is fond of travelling all around the world for all kind of special treatment and meetings, why wont he say something like that when he has never hustled before in his life, when everything id been done for him.

he should come to the street and see how young Nigerians are hustling just to get a three square meal. a leader is not in such condition to say his
citizens are lazy when he never made provision of Job for them. it"s just so bewildering. the Almighty God will help us but we youth needs him to apologize.

From the beginning of the 18th century to the next decade of the 19th century, Africa had colonial rule for a long time. Democracy was not fully established in any country even though it came out of European and Western ideologies. Nigeria is one of them. When the world system is developing in Qatar, many countries in Africa are still behind, even though I knew that Nigeria is one of the best countries in the world. Here, fair democracy is established. But, reading your writings differs from my thoughts.
