Your entries need to be submitted by the midnight of Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. The rule number one is to use only personal images. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one. Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts.

The winner of daily challenge then competes against winners from other continental challenges of the respective week to receive the price of 20 SBD. That will be decided by you based on the dollar value of upvotes of my winning post announcement. The winning weekly picture then automatically enters other rounds for the price of 200 SBD in total.

Please see the winners of the previous contests of the week and give them your support if you like their images to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for them by upvoting the winner announcement posts below:

The majestic Taj-Mahal made of white marble. Build for a princess and unfortunately used as a tomb where she sleeps for ever. The roof is made of Star Diopside Gems that shine like stars when the moon is full. This is a magnificent place to see and visit.

@mibreit-photo Australian Monday entry:

Here's something from famous Milford Sound for you. I travelled New Zealand's South Island back a few years ago and at first I was a bit sceptical as to, if this location could live up to all the hype around it. But it didn't dissapoint. Milford Sound is one of the most spectacular locations I have ever visited. The drive there alone was already worth the visit. Then I even got lucky with this sunset.

@easycome Tuesday of Antarctica and world´s oceans entry:

Every year, like for 3 years, I draw lots with my girlfriend to see which place to visit in September/October, it's like our vacation trip. But occasionally we do getaways, in Europe to do it with low-cost companies is very economic and easy, which if it is true that I never thought that Iceland was a country that gave so much of itself. Has everything, and very freezing too! From now on, in order to give more truthfulness to the photos, I will tell you the parameters used when taking the picture, so that there are less confusions.So... The Parameters used were: 14mm | f/16 | 15s | ISO 100
Camera: Fujifilm X-E2

I got the chance to go on a safari in Tanzania. We were driving along and suddenly a herd of wild African Elephants came towards us. One of the little ones got a bit itchy I suppose, and came to start rubbing on the log in front of our vehicle. Looks like he's posing for the camera!

Everybody loves Amsterdam, but today I want to give some love to the city just a quick train ride away, Rotterdam. When people tell me they're going to visit the Netherlands I always tell them to take the time for a visit to Rotterdam. The city's historic center was completely bombed and destroyed by Germany in WWII, so you don't see many old buildings in Rotterdam. Instead, post-war Rotterdam cultivated and encouraged cutting edge and modern architecture. The creative, beautiful modern buildings here are a wonderful testament to rebuilding after tragedy. Anyone who loves architecture needs to see this city.
IMG_6170.JPG

I like how you describe your image each time - filled with details and emotion =) love Rotterdam too, clicked tons of pics of the Cube Houses and the market building ;)

I got goosebumbs while reading this, great shot!

They are imaginary images they are Beautiful and wonderful photos

On my last day in Santorini, I entered one of these churches — the famous blue-domed Saint Theodore. My plan was to take a few last photos of Fira and its sunsets, and walking through its winding streets, I happened to come upon this view — the magnificent Saint Theodore Church in early evening sunlight. The view was all the more special because I knew my time in Santorini was coming to an end, and like all visitors to the island, I was completely charmed by the place.

As it happened, I didn’t capture one of Fira’s vivid sunsets that day. But what I did capture was all of the essential elements of Santorini in one image — its pastel-hued architecture against black, volcanic cliffs and the deep blue of the sea. And there’s something here, I hope, of the strength and faith of its residents. As for that last sunset – now I have a good reason to go back.

Most of the Greece islands are charming. They have beautiful view of sea, white and blue colored houses, tasty sea foods.

Wow, it’s such a great angle, different from the common ones. It looks like a painting. And your description is so poetic :D

Beautiful view and description!

Do you know that there's a lot of resort here in the Philippines trying to copy the beauty of Santorini.

Two years ago I visited the beautiful Algarve. We had a little house on the cliffs, not far from Praia da Marinha. I went there each morning, trying to take a good photo. But only after three failed attempts I got the right light. The view from the cliffs is awesome. The light on the last morning was the icing on the cake.

That's fabulous. Great work. You will win this competition hands down. I am now subscribed to your blog. Cheers.

Thanks a lot!

Very Welcome. Looking forward to more fabulous pictures.

Good picture

One of the coolest photos of Algarve I have ever seen. Astonishing capture.

Hey, can you get out of this challenge? Your photos are always too good - difficult for others to win. Haha, kidding... thanks for sharing your beautiful work, it’s a visual feast every time. =)

Hehe.. I think there's enough great work and competition ;-)

Whoah!! This photo is so amazing .. Me i cannot even take this kind of photo.. You did great

Wow! Really it is impossible to compete with you )

those colours! :O perfect shot!

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Looking good!

Superb photo!

I was thinking about submitting a photo but now I will just stand here and watch you win. Great skill.

That's too kind of you to say. But submitting is always a good idea, everybody has a chance here!

Klaipeda old town last summer. View from the bridge. Shot during Tallship 2017 races, when over 100 sailing ships and sea yachts came inside the port for a weekend

Long exposure

Enjoy the scenery :)

This is Puente Nuevo, a bridge that was built between 1751 and 1793 in Ronda (southern Spain), an andalusian ancient city well known for its history & architectural beauty. It's, perhaps, the most emblematic monument of the beautiful old town...

pn.jpg

Wow, that scene looks incredible! Impressive blend or architecture and nature. Thanks for adding Ronda to my travel list :)

Hi @phortun ... It's undoubtedly a city worth visiting!
Cheers!

Metewra fakos 18-105 Nikkon 7100

Standing at a higher ground at Metewra Greece, I decided to take this shot right before sunset. This is taken at Iera Moni Rousanou I hope you love the view and maybe visit that magic place even for just once

That's such a neat old gnarled hill! Never seen anything like that.

Thant's awesome! One day I'll have to visit this myself

Impressive photo!

Really stunning shot........

This is my entry:
I am not traveling much, so many of my photos are taken at the same city of Vilnius, but I try to produce high quality content. Blue hour over traffic lights. Single 30 sec exposure and wide angle lens. I like smoke trails and how they complete top of the frame, also they look surreal while everything else is crisp and sharp. Enjoy.

Light trails in Vilnius.jpg

Vilnius rocks! Your shot too. I was pleasantly surprised by this artistic city. ❤️

Thanks! Feel free to visit this artistic city ;)

I captured this part of the Gotthard Pass during a road trip in Europe. It’s an important mountain pass in the Alps at 2,106 m, connecting northern and southern Switzerland, and is crossed by three long traffic tunnels. What an exciting ride! =)

The Road To Hekla is paved with good intentions.

Hekla is a mountain in southern Iceland famous for its frequent volcanic activity. One of Iceland's most active volcanos, it is known as the Gateway to Hell. And this road will lead you there.

The mountain is often shrouded in cloud - I was lucky on this day to be able to see the top half.

Thank you so much for hosting this contest, @czechglobalhosts. I'm having a great time going through my photos from different parts of the world! :)

Road to Hekla

Beautiful

p.s. thanks for informing me about the contest... i think i got in with like a couple minutes to spare.

You're welcome! Yeah, I just got in too, I had some time critical work to do - everything happens at once!

Stunning shot. Dark and moody! ;)
Good luck.

One of my favorites of yours! 👏

Thank you, Casey!! :D

Awesome scenery, looks like a lonely road to darkness.

Way back when I was first starting off (12 years) ago and I had just bought a DSLR i went to europe so I was pretty proud to get a unique shot of a place that millions of people photograph every year.

It's a 30second exposure that I zoomed in towards the end of the shot. I thought I was pretty cool back then. And I still love the picture

Hi, how did you do "Click to view larger"?

Found out and did a post here: https://steemit.com/photofeed/@jarvie/how-to-make-a-picture-clickable-on-steemit-and-large

basically - [![Optional Text](PICTURE URL)](PICTURE URL)

Oooph, that's awesome! Do you ever go back to old photos and think that in some ways you were more creative when you were starting out? I do.

perhaps more experimentive because i was trying to teach myself how to do stuff. I think i'm more creative now though.

Yes, maybe that's a better way of saying it.

Interesting! I like the effect and the colors.

Stormy evening on Praia do Castelejo

2017-12-14 19-13-38 - _DSC5825-Edit-3_resize.jpg

We have spent several weeks in Algarve this December. I was driving and walking around on the different picturesque beaches, but Praia do Castelejo is probably my favorite beach in Algarve. I just love this a bit extraterrestrial view from the first glance. That day I was just checking it as a new location and hoping to find something interesting before the sunset. I knew there should be something as I checked the site first on Google Maps. The weather was changing from warm and calm to rainy and stormy. The massive cloud was moving from the ocean. When I got there, I understood that, first, the light is just fantastic, the second, I was so late to search for the composition. I ran as fast as I could to these rock formations. Five minutes later everything was done. The light was gone. But I got my shot! What a crazy luck!

Very nice photo. I am now following your blog. Cheers.

Wow, now you shouldn't worry about competing. This one could win todays challenge in my opinion

Impressive!

This is me posing in front of San Carlo al Corso basilica in Rome. If you saw those touristy places like Basilica St. Peter and Paul, Spanish Steps, Fontána di Trevi, etc. many times, go to check out this relatively unknown basilica with overwhelmingly beautiful interior - beautiful paintings, impressive sculptures and incredible ceiling paintings.

Berlin

Don't say cities don't have great sunsets. Berlin's Spree river is the ideal setting for some long summer days. Come down and relax, you will never be alone

Kaltenbach in Austria
It's skiing season and we are in Kaltenbach, Austria, right now. So I like to share a picture I took today. The Hochzillertal ski area is connected to the Hochfügen area via ski lifts. Here you see the Wedelhütte, a nice restaurant to stop for lunch and enjoy the sun. The hut is about 2400m above sealevel. Tomorrow is the last day of the vacation :(

I also uploaded a video every single day. Maybe you want to check them out on dtube.

20170330-DSC05071.JPG

One of my favorite places in Europe. This is Podstrana, Croatia; just south of Split. I had an Airbnb on the beach, labeled "Magical Sunset Apartments", and this phot shows exactly why. Believe it or not, this is almost completely untouched in post, aside from cropping and popping in a bit of contrast. The sunset is just this darn amazing here.

I decided to get away from Europe for the winter, and am currently warming up in South East Asia, but when I head back over, Croatia is high on my list of countries to return to, and I highly recommend that everyone take in the beauty that country has to offer!

Beauty of Iceland

I took this picture a year ago during my travels over Iceland, the land of ice and fire. I can say it's really a unique spectacle. And this holiday style I recommend to all who can not just lie by the sea and those who love sleeping in the tent.

beauitful picture thanks for sharing with the community. I really enjoy looking at the pictures and art displayed on steemit makes me want to go out and take more pictures. Thanks again for taking the time to share with everyone.

I am really pleased that you liket it :)

Today’s photo is from amazing place in Europe. If you like cycling and are watching Tour de France on television, than I am sure that you recognize mountain pass in French Alps – Col du Galibier. Professional cyclists are competing there from year 1911 and last year’s winner was Slovenian (my fellow citizen) Primož Roglič.

Cool image! I also entered a mountain pass in the Alps and just saw yours here ;)

Thank you. Your photo is also awesome! Competition in this challenge is outstanding. Can wait to see tomorrow's photos from North America.

I'd love to bike that! Downhill...I'm not a great biker... or drive a sportscar up it!

With car it is easier, but not joyful, at least for me :) But you have a lot of both there...

This photo comes from a small town in Spain called Toledo. This is a view from the inner courtyard of the Alcázar de Toledo (Alcázar of Toledo in English). It is situated in the highest part of Toledo, and was where "The Siege of the Alcázar" took place during the Spanish Civil War (1936-'39). These days it is used as a museum, where visitors can walk around the interior and read up on the history of the former palace.

This photo was taken at Lake Garda, while me and my family/friends were hiking through the mountains around Lake Garda. This was in June 2017, as far as I remember, which is a perfect time to visit this place in Italy. Touristy but beautiful!

Snowdonia-National-Park.jpg

Snowdonia National Park, Wales. Home to the biggest mountain in Wales and some of the most beautiful landscapes in the country and the world at large. Popular destination for climbers and mountain bikers. I heard of this great place on my arrival to Wales for tourism. I had to see it for myself and it was heavenly. Took this picture from 3500 feet of the glorious Mount Snowdon. I hope you like it @czechglobalhosts.

I took this photo in Cappadaccia - Turkey. I was there for 3 days and I had nice time visiting the underground tunnels and some factories. The old houses carved in the mountains and the yummy food :)

The Ironbridge Gorge is the first iron bridge in the world and a true wonder! It still has original ironwork and only pedestrians are to cross it nowadays. It is protected by the UNESCO for its historic significance.

Every day many people visit this place to see the heritage site. There is a car park near the bridge, pubs, cafes, museums. One can just sit down beneath the bridge on the bench and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

This view has been captured in August 2012, UK.

Land of thousand islands

Finland is often called the land of thousand lakes.
Sometimes I'd like to call it the land of thousand islands.

1000.jpg

Shot from a rowing boat. Camera placed a few millimeter above water :) Nikon D700 + 200/4

Nice treatment, it really look like a film camera photograph

Thanks! Sometimes when the weather is right and there is not too much difference between brightest light and shadow this can be achieved. I personally think it is more up to the light conditions than treatment. (though I added grain in Photoshop) Thanks a lot!

The shallow dof works really nice here. Hasa dreamy look

Thanks! Yeah, not sure if I should have used f2.8 instead of f4 but what's done is done :)

I like to go out for a walk at dusk when it's the so-called blue hour. The light becomes very beautiful in the wonderful winter landscape that we have here right now. It was -10 celsius (14 fahrenheit) outside, quite cold but I like it!

Rainy gloom descends over the Rock of Cashel, County Tipperary in Ireland. The round tower dates from c.1100 while the cathedral was built between 1235 and 1270. The rock was sacked in 1647 during the Irish Confederate Wars by forces aligned with Cromwell and close to 1,000 were killed during the sacking of Cashel, as many of the locals had sought protection in the church, with the bodies in the churchyard being described as being five or six deep.

Geiranger is one of Norway's most busy sights, but hiking near the cruise ship tourist's favourite village is really beautiful. I went on a two-day trek up Mount Keipane and for hours I saw no other person. The landscape in the mountains above Geirangerfjord is really stunning.

A photograph I took of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. It was my first time visiting and I decided to take the stairs all the way to the top instead of the elevators. I highly recommend that anyone who wants to visit the Eiffel Tower to take these steps as it's a more immersive experience!

We did a road trip in Europe and one of the places we stopped by was at the Gorges Du Tarn. It was such a beautiful drive - scenic route I call it. The weather was great so we were able to get in and out of the car to take some stunning pictures. There were literally no tourists around us apart from ourselves which made our trip very quiet and pleasant

Hey, @czechglobalhosts!

Here's my entry for today's competition.

Hydra, Greece

The island of Hydra, Greece, is only accessible by boat! All its life runs around the port, where many visitors stop to have lunch in the local restaurants. This photo shows the many boats that were there when I went, in July. It's a beautiful island with breathtaking views, such as this!

It was taken in south iceland in 2017 . The lights always fascinate us and we never get bored of seeing them.I really enjoyed a special moment to talk with the beautiful lights dancing across the sky.

Very cool. I am now following your blog.

Love this photo!

I'm sorry ,and thank you for informing me about it . I edited now so I hope it's not too late.

Who says photography interest should buy DSLR camera first? if you want to study hard photographing diligently, only with mobile phones can produce good photographs. "First, do not always think that later the photo can be edited Second, when photographing an object , portrait from various angles in order to get the best picture, and lastly take pictures, "
So I hopefull you would Like This photo.

I'm not a ski lover, but it's simply impossible to drive past the Alps on a journey through Europe. For the sake of photos, we then climbed to the top. There where the ski runs begin. Probably we were the only "pedestrians" there. Carried away with the shooting, we almost missed the last funicular down. After all, we could not go down there like the others. We did not have any skis or snowboards. Only cameras)

Walking the grounds of Bratislava Castle grants good views of the capital of Slovakia. In this shot is Saint Martin's Cathedral. Construction was 1311-1452. Eleven kings and queens were coronated here including Maria Theresa during the Ottoman occupation of Austro-Hungarian lands....

In 2016 I was in London for a few days and one of those days I went and checked out parliament, it was really cool but then it started to rain for a short period of time. Following that a beautiful vibrant rainbow popped in over Big Ben. It was really beautiful and I took a few pictures of it. I think this one came out pretty nice.

The Logar Valley is a beautiful Alpine glacial valley. The harmonic balance between tradition, man, and nature that found its home in this part Slovenia is both exceptional and difficult to find. Tourism offers an opportunity for relaxation in peaceful ambiance as well as hiking, cycling, horseback riding, photo hunting...

Beautiful.

This photo was taken while visiting Budapest last winter. This building is the Hungarian Parliament and is located right on the rivers edge. At night the view of Budapest and all the old buildings sitting on the water is a sight to see as they are all lit up and easily stand out against the rest of the city.

This day we jumped on our cycles and went to the "Tempelhofer Feld" here in Berlin. It is a huge old Airport which is now an areal for everybody, where you could do many different things. For example, cycling 😉, running, go kite, skateborading, barbecue, gardening or just chilling. It is really windy out there... A few year ago there was a vote what's going to happen with this areal. The citizens of Berlin vote against new buildings and claimed it as a free area for everybody !

Portrait Entry: On a recent trip we drove from Barcelona up over a mountain and ended by the sea in a small village called Cadaques. Salvador Dali had his home there and it's a gorgeous town seemingly cut from the surrounding hills. As the sun began to set it caught the water and cast a beam directly toward us. I was struck by how the light bounced off her hair, something like a 1950's Holywoood film.

From the top of the city of love, enjoy the skyline and the cityscape of Paris. Shot from the top of the church named "Sacré Coeur" .

In the far distance, you can easily spot the iron lady (Tour Eiffel) and the Montparnasse tower. There you have probably one of the bestest view of Paris!

Location: Paris, France.

Cool, I didn’t know you can climb to the top of "Sacré Coeur" : ) have to try next time. Thanks for the advice!

Yep you should definitely do it, it is cheap and it gives you a very nice view of the city. Put it on your wish list ;)

This is a picture I took of the Parthenon at the Acropolis in Athens, Greece, on a sunny winter day last year.
I am from a Greek family that had to migrate because of the war, but in spite of everything, I am proud of my roots and always dream of learning more about the culture of my ancestors.
Recently i visited Greece for the first time, and when I found myself face to face with this wonder, the joy I felt was immense.

The Taj mehel is one of the best content for the photo you got the wonderful photos amazing.keep it up

you are right sunny its really loving place.

🏛 Europe is history 🏛

Europe is synonymous of history, for something it is called the old continent, many civilizations have passed through it leaving a lot of culture.

One of them was the Roman period, and from there comes the origin of arches of triumphs to commemorate military victories. It is rare not to find one of them in every European country. That is why I believe it can be one of the elements that most characterises Europe.

The setting parameters used were: 16mm | f/18 | 40s | ISO 100
Camera: Sony alpha α6300 📷

Nice photo!

Thanks 😊

Great long exposure for both the clouds and the traffic!

Thanks @derekkind At the beginning I did not like the idea of many cars passing around constantly until I thought about to do a long exposure picture 😅
