Wednesday Walk Brooklyn Park
This post if for Wednesday walk challenge And Make me Smile Collaboration challenge, initially our collaboration was once a month but due to the popularity of it we have decided to make the collab a weekly thing :)
Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.
This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines
Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.
Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.
Try and get a few shots not just one
Add a bit of a write up about where you walked
You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.
Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .
Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.
I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules
I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk,
Actifit
A good App that works well in conjunction with the Wednesday Walk or any day walk is @actifit, which rewards you with Actifit Tokens and Upvotes, if you use the app to track your steps and do a post of your actifit total each day.
If you do a lot of activity I do recommend you check it out
Make me Smile Collaboration
As I mentioned above Wednesday Walk is collaborating with the [Make Me Smile] hosted by @elizacheng,
Here are the rules for her challenge
Your post can be writing, singing, video, poem,drawing, photography etc.... the most important part is your post Make me" smile, Remember, the ME is whoever read/view/listen to your post and this includes YOURSELF.
b. Your content must be ORIGINAL CONTENT
c. Please include at least 50 Words in your post
A short walk in Brooklyn Park
This walk is in Brooklyn Park, her in New Bedford now far from where y wife gets her hair done, and beside Ma's Donuts shop which i shared in this post
Its a nice little park with a small pond which I will share in this post

and the little island in the pond, it was quite overcast the day I did this walk, infatc up until maybe a minute before i parked it was raining.
My wife and I have got out for a few walks of recent, found some nice spots for walks, but i haven't found the time to edit them yet

Yes, just a few boxes left to unpack, and they can wai, now trying to get out together for a walk a few days a week, finding some nice spots here ;)

AWESOME photos, @tattoodjay! Sometimes I do not realize how much I miss looking at your photos until I saw these colorful sceneries again (I call it colorful... the colors are almost uniquely your colors, and I don't see other photos that are in the shades and vividness (or not) like yours--- sorry I don't have the photographer's terms to use and don't know how to describe what I want to say, LOL). I love the second photo and third photo with the model tiny house in the center and houses reflecting in the water with the ducks. Beautiful scenery!

This model house on the island looks cute - when you see such model houses here there is most times the real house in the near 😀

I did try and look up and find if there was a story to that little house but haven't found anything yet but i am sure there is a real house like that around here somewhere
We have done a couple of early morning walks that they call a cove walk here, they build walls to protect as a hurricane barrier and put walkways on top of them such a nice place for early morning walks

I have been on a little hike through a gorge and woodland with my wife. We have gone early enough to avoid the crowds which came when we were on the way back 😉

We toook a little longer to get ready than planned dby we I mean my wife LOl, so we caught the end of the sunrise saw some nice color as we were driving there but we had a nice walk
Well, I can't say the same about mine ... today 😉 lol
She was earlier ready than I thought, but we didn't have to be there on time. Otherwise it might have been the same 😉

Love the pond you found to use in the photography with the little island and miniature house placed on it.
Quaint building, the edits make each photograph superb, thanks for sharing it takes one over borders to enjoy the peace and quiet just looking.

Kind of odd seeing a doll house next to a small pond, is it a permanent thing or did some kid just for get it? I do love the overcast reflection shots, We have been having a lot of wind and rain lately, but it will end soon. Some nice pictures you got there.

Such a serene looking pond and I love the model house on the island!
Was that all nature lighting and coloring our did you use a filter to get those brilliant colors!

I shoot in RAW mode on my camera so all shots are edited but I try not to tweak the colors much and just share what I saw
Good to know! I'm having a hard time letting go of auto mode and presetting s on the camera and I know the value of shooting raw but I haven't even taken the time to figure out how to change the settings on my camera. It is my intention to switch to raw and get off auto. I'm gathering the knowledge for things I could do manually but have yet taken the plunge!
Its a big step to change and takes more time when you get the photos off the camera, and I will be honets I seldom shoot full manual except for certain situations where i need full control I mostly use aperture priority mode with what I shoot occasional shutter priority
