Hola, mi beer muncheros! How is it hanging? Or as they say en espanol, Me mierda es gattos en la noche!

Oh yes! Welcome back to another Saturday beer blog! I do hope you enjoy the feasts and bounteous delights within.

I am not just talking about the beer of course but I am talking about my filthy talk and the things said that should never be said. Like hairy boobies. (Blame abh12345 for that one, filthy mare that he is.)

But as a wise man once said, Los baños lloran lágrimas calientes.

Check me, I am full of the wisdoms tonight.

What exotic delight do I have to share with you this week? Well, do you like chocolate chip cookies? Do you like maple syrup smothered pancakes? Do you like coffee with that?

Hells yes! Well, apart from the pancakes. I can't abide the things, like floppy tit-skin. Yuck.

But the rest of it, yes indeed, I wouldn't say no.

Oh, wait, there's more? More? How can there be more?

What's this, steep all of the above in fine beery alcohol and serve in a can weighing in at a massive 11% ABV?!!?

Hot flaming donkey shit, this has to be good. It has to be!!

Ladies and Gennulmen, I give you... BIG JOE!!

139117-picsay_20200201104054020_20200208161309907_20200404144526360_20200411101038170_20200606192355672.jpg

Straight from Overtone Brewing, based in a skanky industrial estate in the west of Glasgow near the River Clyde, once famous for the number of dead bodies that kept appearing in it.

The macabre Glasgow brewers state...

Pancakes smothered in maple syrup, a side of bacon and a cup of Columbian coffee to wash it all down

I wonder if Big Joe slept with the fishes?

It sounds fucking magic so without further ado. Let me get my gums around Big Joe's plums!

20200606_203324.jpg

It's black as a frostbitten toe! The head is massive too, gassy and playful, like a cat that has eaten too many chickpeas and snorted too much catnip.

My old cat used to love chickpeas and he wasn't even Lebanese? Sometimes, even I and my mighty intellect struggle with the ways of the modern world.

So, it promises to be like a breakfast in an American Diner. Hopefully the police don't come in and start letting fly with the pepper spray and rubber bullets.

A masterclass in beer brewing, these young Glasgow rascals have their finger firmly on the pulse of my penis. It is magnificent. So chocolatey and the maple syrup is sweet sweet sweet against that ever so bitter coffee.

And it is strong as fuck. Like an ox in a box! 10/10 BOOMS!!!

I feel quite abuzz. I wonder if it is time to get the cat saddle out again and ride into the woods blowing my trumpet.

Behold minions, he rides again! The once and future King is risen!!

And thankfully, no tit-skin to be had!

Signing off, have a good one, mes pompeurs fous!

Wow it seems like a great combination. I loove maple syrup😍

So do I and it's magic in a beer!!

Ahhh now I want maple syrup and I have noneee damnnn😅

Well hell, I can’t seem to quit giggling long enough to compose anything of substance, lol, lol...All I keep envisioning is a cat getting slapped with a floppy maple-scented ancient mammary gland for some reason....wonder why?

Seriously though, the head on Big Joe! You didn’t even have to give a rating, just watching the first minute of your most excellent review made me want to experience the brew!

Hope you’re alive this morning btw:)

I think I'm alive! Bit rough, had two of the beasts and then wine with the Good Lady. Not the best combination!

The bad was sold, it did for down into a nice regular thing after a few minutes. It was potent though!

Oof, I don’t know if I’d be alive after a digestive cage match between the ferments of grain and the vine, last time I engaged in such a battle I’m pretty sure I jumped onTo a table and challenged a couple twenty-somethings to a duel. It was my brother’s fault I assure you.

It seemed potent, like you almost had to fight to drink it! I’m sure after two you kept the Good Lady beyond entertained LOL!

We did! At one point she looked at me and quite matter of factly asked are you howling drunk? I almost denied it :0)

Them twenty something's, pfft, they would have been in trouble!

Hello dear friend @meesterboom Good afternoon.

Fuck ! What power does that 11% alcoholic beer have, you have to be strong to endure this. strong as a donkey kick

Bravo "Big Joe" did what he promised. 10/10

The bear man knows what he is doing. For something is the best.

Excellent tasting dear friend. Time that we do not see a perfect score.

Tomorrow you are guaranteed a hangover.

Enjoy your night dear friend
Salut

A donkey kick is exactly how it is going to feel tomorrow!!

It's a beast of a beer but a fantastic beast to be enjoyed!!

Cheers dude!!

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

So, it promises to be like a breakfast in an American Diner. Hopefully the police don't come in and start letting fly with the pepper spray and rubber bullets.

You can never really be hopeful when it comes to American pigs. They're the kind of scum that would cross a fucking ocean just to brutalize someone. At least you're not Black, so you've got that going for you.

Van Damme rocks btw 🤘 Back when I lived in Chicago and had a "real" job, our editorial department was divided into several different teams, each of which was named after a Van Damme film. I was on Team Bloodsport :)

They ain't showing themselves in the best of light that's for sure. Done of the antics that have been caught on film are terrible and those are just the ones that are caught.

Bloodsport!! Ah the memories. I love Van Damme! Hiss movies were a staple of my growing up!

I can't explain the feel of alcohol, but i know for sure it can give life. I still say beer is the best alcohol for me...
I like Heineken and i dont like change .. so i will stick to my heineken and let you enjoy big joe..really funny post

We all have our favourites! As long as you enjoy it is what counts! Cheers!

I don't know if it was the Spanish or the lack of sleep and too much coffee but I was so confused the whole way through XD

The biggest confusion was why would you have bacon with pancakes? O_O

I have never understood the bacon and pancakes thing. Damn weird spilling done fine meat that way!

No rating out of 10 again, yer slipping!... I reckon this is a 10 with the faces yer pulling!

Fuck!!! It's a 10!! MAn alive. Good catch, I am slipping!! Here goes edit mode!

I wonder if it is time to get the cat saddle out again and ride into the woods blowing my own trumpet

Many a lady would pay for the privilege i'm sure!

Sounds like this one will put a few hairs on your chest, and we do like a hairy chest :D

Excellent brew, I could do with one after this Stella which has been purchased to wash a Madras down. Cheers!

I love a bloody madras! And a nice ashy lager to go with it!

It's a bloody tough one this. It tastes as powerful as it is and I am on number two and can already feel a bit *chirpy!

Cheers dude!

!ENGAGE 25 !

Half way through this larger and my lips and mouth are still cooking :D

Sounds like a fine brew, I cant wait for the Beerheadz to open again!

Cheers!

I need to get my hands on a damn good curry, all the places up here totally closed for lockdown and it is only the shit ones that are still open and I would rather haul up some muck from a drain!

Shite. I made my own with a jar and chucked some green stuff in to make it seem healthier. Got another portion for tomoz, lovely!

And tomorrows will taste even better! It always does. I made a Thai hobby during the week. Was rather good, need to get the wifey to go for Indian, maybe tomorrow, I'm in the mood!

If they wouldn't turn me into a heffer I would have something spicy every day, with a brew to wash it down, heaven!

Black as home made sin and 11% to boot! That will separate the men from the boys!

It certainly did, although I am not sure what side I ended up falling on!!

Only time I drank beer was in Italy. I'm not old enough to drink in the states yet. But my favorite drink in Italy was scotch on the rocks. Amazing!

That is a lovely drink!! I always think it's a bit ridiculous the law in the States, what is it 21 before you can drink legally?

yes its 21, i am 19 right now

Holy moly! What a head!!!

Holy hell-o man! What are you speaking, Dutch? I'm having trouble with your Brogue today! You are feeling your oats. Or something!

Push me a swig of that! It is working wonders for you! LOL

!tip

It's a Dutch making beer. I am considering having a couple for my breakfast every day instead of coffee!!

Lol, add is. That way lies certain DEATH!!

I hear that it is the breakfast of champions!

Oh, wait. Maybe that was Cheerios. I think we need to go with the pancakes and bacon. :)

That works be the breakfast of champions... Champions of death!!! ;0)

LOL We can't have that! Let's go for the 14%!

I prefer my wine to hover around that region not my beer!!

Oh heavens are you the Carb Devil! This looks amazing and of course my American love of maple things makes me want this all the more...I'm sipping it digital thus sans carbs.

IF there is a window of travel that ever opens up again, I'd happily slip away to Scotland. Though I'm usually craving Southern England, I love the rules of tiny homes and cottaging and hutting in your neck of the woods (wait you are in Scotland?)

Any tips for great out of the way locales on the cheap for quiet Americans to live in a secluded 10 acre wood?

I am indeed a Scotsman living in Scotland, salt I know of nothing cheap in the woods being a city dweller. I tend to take my tent when I go out wild way!!

I do like the South of England, it has the weather which oft times trumps us.

11% That is savage!

All the more savage the next morning!!

Beer just lightens the mood and elevates our spirit and more than that it can bring creative and inspiration. Cheers!

It is certainly quite the thing for the creativity!! Cheers!!

11% For breakfast - sounds great!!
