"Ultimate Freedom"

Week 7 Theme - Ultimate Freedom

The theme for Hive Open Mic Week 7 is: "Ultimate Freedom." To enter this event, you'll express yourself creatively with a song that helps us to explore the current theme. Our weekly theme encourages experimentation, providing a springboard for creativity. Original songs and cover songs are welcomed. All musical forms and genres are OK.

There are ample rewards for participating in the Hive Open Mic. Beyond the sheer enjoyment, musicians earn $ directly and they also earn a fair share of the tip jar. Meanwhile, audience members are the first to hear new music performed by true artists.

Guidelines

  1. Produce - Begin your video with the words: “This is Hive Open Mic Week [1] and I am [@username],” substituting the current week and your own username, and then you'll sing your song.
  2. Present - Post your video on Hive, writing the story of your creative journey with the song, and tagging #openmic as your first tag.
  3. Promote - Share your link in the comments section of Sunday's open mic invitation.
  4. Prosper - Enjoy harmony with the Hive community by engaging with musicians and music fans.

Ow-ow-oWoo! That's the wild coyote spirit howling for you. I'm grateful for your consideration of this week's theme—thank you for sharing your stream-of-consciousness thinking about that. Raggle Taggle Gypsy, how fun! Yeah, totally, that's a good way to run with the idea. What a lively song you're sharing—reminds me of a book: Jitterbug Perfume, by Tom Robbins.

Many thanks for the kind words man!

Im looking forward to your song and I can't wait to see what next weeks theme is.

English: These lyrics are totally fun, and free, yes. Dragons, orangutans... your understanding of "total freedom" seems like a playful flight. Perfect. Majorly impressive.

Español: Estas letras son totalmente divertidas y liberadas, sí. Dragones, orangutanes ... su comprensión de la "libertad total" parece un vuelo juguetón. Perfecto. Mayoritariamente impresionante.

English: I feel grateful to hear your pretty voice with a pleasant piano accompaniment. Thank you.

Español: Me siento agradecido de escuchar tu bonita voz con un agradable acompañamiento de piano. Gracias.

I will always be the grateful one! Thanks to you!

English: Regardless of the sound, I can still appreciate this as a quality contribution to the #openmic. I like the way you've visually stylized your video here. And your illustration at the top is really cool. I'm familiar with Manu Chao - he played a concert here in Austin, Texas, a few years ago. I respect his work.

Your guitar playing and singing us stellar here, wow.

My entry is a song called "Flourish," finding the ultimate freedom in the wildflowers, wild animals, and wildfires. https://hive.blog/openmic/@cabelindsay/hive-open-mic-week-7-flourish-original-song

I loved your presentation this week, I would love to know if what you use to record those two bars as a continuous loop is hardware or software?
It sounds fantastic, many musicians playing and it's just you recording almost simultaneously. No video editing, oh it's great.
Very nice voice and nice song I congratulate you my friend.

Thank for your compliment here, and for your question. Yes, I'm using a hardware. It's a product called "Boss RC-30" - a guitar looping station. I highly recommend it to you, as I know you're a great guitarist. This equipment will give you some exciting new ways to soar sonically.

hey cabe, i will love to dm you at discord soon!
