This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

The last week of the regular season is always something special as many matches are played at the same time which makes it a lot harder to get in a ton of volume. However, these last weeks also provide great situational spots and the way to go is to take much higher odds selections which worked quite well with 4.228 and 4.60 odds outright winners in the last 2 weeks. I did start really bad on Thursday in the European matches where I was just way off and not focused enough which cost me a bit over 1 unit in total. I did however manage to recover a lot of that in the final week of the regular season.

It was one of those weeks where I saw a 0.4 units bet get voided for some reason which was done before the match. The Bet was Mechelen +1.5 @ 1.899 which I took at the time Anderlecht was playing extra time in the Conference League not looking good. It would have been a clear winner and I do kind of feel robbed for 0.36 units but at the same time it's part of betting I guess and on rare occasions this happens. The only thing I can do is put up with it I guess and the total sum is still very much positive taking money from the bookies year after year.

Playoff Plans
Each year I pretty much consider skipping the playoffs as I feel I'm less profitable at them. So I went back and check how the playoffs actually did for me in the past years. From the looks of it, I took a total of 377.83 units staked with a result of just 2.764 units profit in total which equals just +0.73% ROI

While in theory I like the idea of fully skipping and not even watching them, in practice I know I won't be able to handle myself. So right now, my plan is to cover them to the extent that I am willing to and have a total of 2 units of the 12 units profit made this season that I'm willing to risk. So basically I'm locking in at least 10 units profit on the season which is always the target that I try to aim for at least.

Pre-Game Preview Bets Season 2022-2023

I once again hit a high odds bet which turned out to be big value and this made me finish the regular season with 191 bets in total good for +19.035 units profit at flat stakes or +9.97% ROI which is rock solid. I will continue these selections in the playoffs and keep the same approach next season.

Regular Season 2022-2023 Personal Betting Chart

I couldn't have been more pleased with how this season went in general. Not only did I have a blast again with all these matches trying to beat the market, I also ended with a nice +12.08 units profit and +5.51% ROI. I always reduce my stakes a bit in the playoffs and for sure won't increase them. The goal next season however remains to increase my overall volume by taking bigger bets on average. I did stake 20% more compared to last season even before the start of the playoff so that was a nice improvement. I still have to make a big leap though and honestly would like to bet 4x or 5x the volume. Unfortunately this will be hard retaining my edge since limits on most bets especially those with good value are just too small.
