I haven't been powering up an awful lot lately, if I'm honest. I had been keeping a fair bit in savings for that lovely APR and for quick access if needed, as we had a lot of expenses coming up (and still may do). I've been content with the amount of Hive I had powered up because I didn't have the psychological energy you push my goals further. It's been nice to focus just on interactions and writing. However, I'm feeling rather reinvigorated again, and inspired by the power uppers and goal setters and go getters to reassess my HP goals!
Today I powered up 150 HP because I want the cute buzzy badge, and would have done the lot but I like some there to give as challenge winnings for the #gardenjournal challenge. I would like to reach 20,000 effective HP by the end of Winter here although with the price the way it is the post rewards aren't quite as good as they were, but never mind, they'll go up again! Us old timers know that - so if you're worried and thinking of leaving HIVE, please don't - we assure you it's happeened before and it WILL go up again!

By the time I wrote this post it was 2 July in Australia, so it's not really joining in with all the other PUD posts. I'm not eligible for the Hive Pud prize give my rep, but you should go pop over to @traciyork's profile to keep up with that. Any time you enter a HIVE challenge you stand to win a little to boost your HP - as they say, you gotta be in it to win it! I wonder what the equivalent means in the global languages of HIVE. Anyway, this is a good time to state my goal of continuing to join in challenges (did I mention the #gardenjournal challenge?) like @galenkp's Weekend Engagement challenge, @theinkwell writing challenge, @ladiesofhive and lots more. It doesn't even matter if I win - that's not really what it's about for me - but it is important that I do my bit to help these communities be a great place to hang out and hopefully retain users as well.
My own personal goals on HIVE are usually quite simple and I dont spent a lot of time tracking my earnings. I am, however, on on track to post every day for a year - think I started in Feb? Loving it, loving my HIVE!
I'm going to try Hive PUM (Power up Month) run by @hivebuzz via @arcange as well. There's a cute little calender to keep track but as long as I remember to power up every night before bed I should hit the power up lunchtime UTC consistantly. Powering up a little bit every day for a whole month feels good. Every little helps, right?
You can't say I'm not Hive loyal after four years waffling and buzzing about here.

When the price started falling, I saw a lot of people fall off the map on Hive, I guess they don't see the bigger picture. We just gotta keep on trucking.
They also forget that even though the post rewards are down you get more hive as it's cheaper. It's easier to build your account when the price is kak

The word spirit in this write up reminds me of one of my favorite movies, a 1973 Spanish film titled ( translated ) Spirit of the Beehive. Highly recommended. Also, how did I forget to power up, yesterday? I miss timed it by powering up majorly, days before, on my Hive ( Five ) lustrum. Big hug!

Yeah i have powered up a bit over the last few weeks, i bought some hive while it was cheep.
I didn't disappear.. i was acquiring HIVE.. lol... i mean... why not?
unhappily i put a big buy order (like $400aud) in for .47c aud.... it got to .478 aud lol... so i missed out for now. so annoyed about that.
but i got a bit more though so that is ok.
such a shame about the last big order though. I have left it there in case hive does another overnight dump and then naturally moons at $10/hive.
anyway so enjoying hive and especially the gardenhive where i hang out so much. if you and @minismallholding are up for another Australian mod at anytime you let me know :-) I am keen on getting a "bit involved" in HIVE and i guess Gardenhive which really seems to be my home baby for the moment as its what i'm posting most about.

Yes! I'm here on Hive more than anywhere else now, and I have profiles on more than a dozen alternative social media sites. No other platform engages me to such a degree. I've definitely worked my daily Hive posts into my weekly schedule, and I'm determined not to miss a day! I love it, and I'm growing my account very quickly now!

Ah I hear you, the effective power is an important number indeed! I’ve scaled back my delegations to try and get to some goals but hopefully can do some delegating in the near future to get there.
That’s a good power up though! 150 isn’t bad and better than many so good job on that, and being able to spend some and save some as well. That’s important to be able to mix all of those things together. Thanks for powering up:D
I think I shifted some Blurt to Hive, it's so darn wierd there I gave up after a few weeks curiously looking around. Would rather Hive anyday!

Hahaha never!! Just playing. I liked the freedom of just doing shit posts for a while and wanted to know why people went in all honesty. It was full of dickheads, shit posters, delusional conspiracy asshats, and racists. And they were the only ones who could write. And Hive posts of course. No engagement. No development. Drama as per here. Lack of trust. Ugh. Just awful. I will never dabble again. There's one or two nice people I miss being here on Hive and hope they come back. I get why they left tho. Saying that, as much as I was hating the DV wars at the time, it took me being there a few weeks to realise the DV system is the best thing we have to deal with abuse.
