Weekend-engagement week 25 wrap up: Focused on your phone photo

in OCD3 years ago

Welcome to a brand new week hivers, to Monday. Yeah, I know...It sucks, Monday I mean, but can't be helped, time moves on...Besides, it's not too bad as tommorrow is the first day of December and that's when my countdown to the end of the year begins...So, as of today there's 24 days until my last day of work for the year. That's 34,560 minutes or 6.56% of 2020 left to go before I can say goodbye to the office for a little while, and hello end of year break time. Can you tell I'm looking forward to it? 😊

Anyway, I hope you've all got a great week planned, that it goes to plan and that you're flexible enough to adapt if it doesn't!

But enough of all that, it's time to wrap up the #weekend-engagement topic for week 25 and hand out some hive to a few people.

Lake Wakitipu, New Zealand - I took this with an Samsung S9.

Week 25 was all about your phone photos...I asked you to share one photo that you'd taken with your phone and tell us a little about it. Not too hard right?

If you would like to check out the post and a few of the photos and comments you can do so here and don't forget to leave a few comments of your own as it may open up a new relationship for you which could pay dividends down the track.

As always I have a little bit of hive to transfer to some of those who engaged.

Of course this is not the key concept behind the #weekend-engagement topics; Winning hive. The main focus is to engage, to have a place you can do so on the weekend that is a bit of fun and is a friendly environment full of like-minded people. The relationships one can form here could be extremely valuable and I don't promote a drop comment and run ethos; Staying around to comment a little on other people has value, and that's what I try to promote.

This week in addition to the hive put into the reward pool by me, @galenkp, I have some from @bigtom13 and @tarazkp as well so thanks for your contribution.

Well done to @ladybug146, @trangbaby, @krazzytrukker, @notacinephile, @gvkanten and @dswigle who have all had some hive transferred to their wallets today.

Thank you to everyone who participated, I hope you had a good time and enjoyed interacting with some of the other legit hivers who also came along to play.

This week it is week 26, the six-month anniversary of me starting this concept. I don't want to put pressure on it or anything as it's hard enough to come up with topics as it is, but I hope y'all come along and have some fun with whatever topic I release on Friday night.

Enjoy your week and don't forget to get engaged on hive - It's the best way to meet people, build relationships and put yourself on the map!

We too like engagement...

That's an intelligent looking dog! Doesn't look too old either, have you had him/her long?

!ENGAGE 25

He is nearly 4 months old and I've had him for 2 months nearly.

Highly intelligent. His first real fetch he put the ball in my hand.

So massive amounts of hope for an amazing service dog. He is welcome to take over the bed anytime. And does.

Yeah, pretty young indeed but that's the best time to get them of course. It'll be cool to do a few posts about his progress. Nice looking fellow and I'm sure he'll earn his keep.

!ENGAGE 25

Oh that's pretty much all my blog is about and I need to get an account going for him.

I do have his predecessors account and it is doing very well and running on auto vote.

This puppy is definitely got a lot of advantages coming his way and hopefully one day soon we will be able to be investing in land and our future as well.

One day far in the future hopefully all of our dreams will come true

Man and his dog...It's a strong bind and clearly you have it. I'm glad to hear you care so much about him and that he brings you happiness. It's been a long time since I had a dog. My last was a pretty huge Rottweiler called Benson. He wasn't one to mess with mostly, ,but was very loyal and would obey without question. We also had a few German Shepherds as well; One called Sabre...A bit of a killer but still controllable. I've got cats now well one, since Merlin died, and we get the same sense of happiness and companionship from Cleo as we did with our dogs. The same, but different you know?

Connection is exactly that.

You got it.

Today is toys and photography adventure...

He's already a lot better at photographs than Sam. Sam is wiggly.

But he's a born service dog. He spent most of three months with a hospice patient recently. Brightened up both of their days.

Absolutely awesome dog right there

Lol...He's looking at you like, put the phone down and lets go already! Nice knives too. 👍

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

iheart GSD's - "Guilty!"

Thank you I do too

Your puppy is gorgeous.

He is absolutely beautiful and right on time to become the mouthy terror he will shortly be.

I absolutely am super happy and have enjoyed his puppy stage immensely.

666 comments on one post. that is a bit crazy :D

oh hell, really crazy...I bet some topic will reach 1000 comments sooner or later 😋

i was really surprised by the number. i know most of the times there are a lot of comments but... 😁

Posted using Dapplr

yeh me either, I'm sure only @galenkp who can do it here & gather people to have engagement with each other on the weekend 😄

It's a place where all are welcome and I do my best to make sure people feel welcome. I'm glad yo have you along, and @bil.prag too...Everyone really...The #weekend-engagement topic is for everyone!

Lol, yeah it's a few huh? I'll admit that sometimes it gets difficult to keep up over the weekends as I also respond to comments on my own posts...Still, I'd rather it this way than the alternative! Thanks for getting involved this week which such a great photo. :)

i was lost on just comments below my photo, i can't even imagine how you managed to go through all of that 😁

Posted using Dapplr

Yep, it's not the easiest thing. I use GinaBot notifications and engage.hivechain.app which helps.

Wow you do it so well...and handle to reply a ton of comments. Sometimes, I have more than 10 comments on my posts and it takes me a while to reply all 😅
"the most engaging man on the chain is here"🙂 @galenkp

I like engagement, it's enjoyable for me, not a chore or job; Just enjoyment. It actually deepens my experience here on hive and without engagement I don't think I'd be here much to be honest. Thanks for being a part of the #weekend-engagement and I look forward to seeing you again.

I just love it. It just takes some time-I read everything :)

I struggled this weekend to be honest - Moving house on Sunday took all damned day but I think i\I got all the direct comments answered which is always my goal. The secondary and tertiary ones I like to get to also, but it's not always possible.

I am officially still catching up. And I didn't move on Sunday...

Aww what a suprise to start a new week 🤩 Thanks a lot Galen 😍

You're welcome, thanks for joining in and for staying around and engaging with others.

Thanks for the boost! It was a fun topic with lots of cool pictures (photography lover over here!!) with some great stories behind them !
Will be checking what you come up with for the 6 month anniversary edition.. Ughum no pressure 😃

Bloody hell mate, I'm feeling the pressure already! Lol. Someone will tear shreds off me if I get this weeks topic wrong I think! 😆

Seriously though, it's business as usual and I'll just release the topic and let people take it where they like. I hope you'll come by as well. Thanks for your involvement this week. :)

Haha yes... It's all in your hands... Tumdumdun!

Yes, I'll keep an eye out for it! Was fun!

Or we might just ignore your topic and play without you :) Party on, Garth!

Ignore it? Aww, I don't believe you...It's like a drug. :)

Hey, I can't wait to see more pictures from your earlier hike...Let's show us more 🤩

😃😃😃 You got me there!
So I just posted about the beach in my #KeepExploring series here: https://peakd.com/hive-163772/@gvkanten/keepexploringep3kenepag-fm6t0hu5353tm074c0036335087224v4

What if I promise to make it my next post in the series? 😇

This is awesome
I'll surely participate in the next topic.
Wish you all a lovely weekend

Hi there, thanks for commenting. I hope that you choose to participate in the #weekend-engagement in weeks to come; It's a bit of fun and a good place to meet people and build your account profile. :)

Yes I've been doing that for sometimes now. I'll do just as you've said

Thanks for hosting the contest and to all the contributors to the reward pool and for selecting me as one of your recipients along with all the great hivers and hivettes that joined in the fun!

This thing just keeps growing bigger an bigger, it's pretty awesome, well done. xox

I've created a monster...Lol.

It was a pleasure you having you along this week and was great to see you stay and engage with loads of people. It's a fun concept, designed for fun, and I think people enjoy it. Thanks for coming by. :)

Oh...I will have a meme for that next in next week's theme! I enjoy coming by, I start with good intentions to visit every week but I put it off, get busy and forget to come back to it. I want to make an effort to be around hive more...kick some dust around. Every one seems so bummed out, not just here on hive but overall. 2020 has been rough end it with a lockdown party on social media.

A little pick me up is what the world as a whole needs I think.

For sure. At least mentally prepare and pumped for a fresh 2021 rather than go into it all depressed for another year. Even if the Christmas holiday month is all the cheer we get.

Yep I agree...From today we are expected to check in with QR code when we go somewhere...It drives me bonkers and it's driven another nail in my patience coffin. Seriously Rebecca, I'm a pretty legit sort of dude usually, have a good outlook and all, but it's really fucking pissing me off now. So yeah, I have a strong focus on the 24th Dec to 7th Jan which I have off...It's a recharge time, a time to reset and to re-energise. I need it. No, I'm not depressed, just annoyed more often. All this pandemic bullshit has me like: Annoyed. 😡

Let's go for a fresh start huh? Turn this shit around. :)

You may not be depressed but some are. That is insane with the qr code, I can imagine it would drive you bonkers and annoyed. Sounds like a waste of time to slow everyone down. Anyone with a good outlook would look at this with a sour note, most of us just want to get shit done and get on with our lives. I still there is something fishy about all of this. It's overplayed.

It's going to feel good to have the holiday season off, spend time with your family. You have had a pretty rough year as it is, you are doing pretty good tho. Dec 24th will be here in no time!

Had fun taking part in it and it always amazes me how amazing phone photos can be!

Great Stuff here as always!

Thanks for the Weekend Engagement and the motivation that it brings.

Thanks mate, I appreciate it and it's great to have you on board when you have the chance.

Well, that was fun!! It's a challenge on the weekend, but, I must say that it was worth the peek in. Lots of interesting people and the things they do.

Now, of course, I want to go back to White Sands and see those herds of wildebeest and other such cool animals - Thanks @bigtom13

Thank you for putting out the fun and I think people don't know what they are missing @galenkp! See you later in the week. You hooked me.

White Sands is open to the public one day per year. It's in October I think, but you can drive to the HQ and see some of the herds of exotics there...

My friend is now retired. She and her husband and doggy live on the front range in Colorado. Steve is not retiring well so he is a part time ranger for the Park Service :) Linda and Colter seem to be doing just fine.

I knew they were open, but, wasn't sure when! Thanks so much for the info, I sure would love to see them!

It's like a drug. A good one.

Good morning over there!

Need coffee to get me kick started. 😉

I hear you! It the quicker picker upper... oh, wait. That's Bounty.

Coffee, and Bounty. :)

Another fun weekend. Normally I'd have made my final sweep through the whole thing but today, Monday, hasn't exactly worked out according to plan. It'll probably be until tomorrow before the weekend officially ends for me :) Which is OK, it shortens the distance between the next one.

You're always pretty engaged with the WE topics mate and I appreciate it.
