One Meal a Day is a steemit charity action to struggle against famine.
Everyone in need of food can comment here and received our help to no longer starve.
The poorest might not have access to internet, if you desire to help on the ground and actively provide meal, simply post what you are doing here.
We should all contribute for a better world and insure the poorer to get at least the vital minimum:
ONE MEAL A DAY
Please be trustworthy, if you comment for personal greed and you are not deeply in need for food or vital healthcare, you are taking money from steemians who really need it to stay alive and you should be ashamed.
Doing that you are responsible for this world to keep going wrong.

Wow, @damarth thanks for doing this one's again. I'm not the one in need of a meal a day but I run a foundation that do that - fatherfaith foundation.
Last Saturday we went to celebrate a friend's birthday at the FCT school for the blind in Abuja, Nigeria. Where we feed those children and also donated some materials them.
So, I'm doing this for the needy in my environment and for my foundation.

In my area, i have children who needs help with schooling. They hawk during the day and even i am sure that wouldn't amount to much. I would love to be an instrument whereby at least few of them can go to school with proofs to back it up when done.
At my place of work, i have an old man that comes. I give him little amount when he comes around and i know that can't feed him longer. He hasn't been around today and i promise to take his picture when he comes around again and get him a decent meal to show as proof aswell.
I am willing to be a channel for these people, i could use the help i could get. I am willing. I will always show proofs.

I am ok @damarth. I need help feeding some my students. I have students who cant afford breakfast. A meal cost 20 cents in USD here. The cheapest and the most decent. I try my best to feed one student a day. Idk how you can help. Tried inviting my students to join steemit but they dont have internet connection. I pledge to donate 100% of the earnings of this comment. Will make a post on the progress. My students will finish at the end of march I hate seeing them being late or quitting school cause they cant afford a meal.
Hi darmarth, I just got admitted into high school, and the feeding system is very poor, many students come to school without pocket money, and go hungry most of the time, since I came to campus, I have tried helping those I can and now I'm running out of food items myself.. your help would be highly appreciated.
Trying to feed the poor, I use to do this twice in a week, though I don't have much, but am trying my best with the little I have, and I know with your help, I can do more......i promise to give whatever I generate here to them......... thanks @damarth

Great opportunity here. In line with your quote the the poorest among us might not have access to the internet. I already mentioned that since I can provide my own meals, my desire is to use everything I gets from this one meal a day to provide meal, and basic medical care to those who really need it. in my neighbourhood, there is a family in which there are 7 peoples and they have 1 source of income.. there monthly income is $100
I really want to help them but i am not that much able to help....

In my home nation of Nigeria, the case is a heart-shattering one. Where the system is failing to recognize the need to help and feed the great number of children and youths.
Children in nigeria can hardly get access to adequate meals, or good sound education. For the case of feeding, the parents of the children that are in charge of feeding them do not even have the money to do so.
I would love to share a short story about my neigbours whose story is a very sad one. Their father died when they were very young. The weight of caring for the family has been on the shoulders of their mother ever since,and she was a just a secondary school teacher. Now, anyone in nigeria will know how bad the teaching profession has become; a profession that once used to be the very pride of the nation has now turned into a profession of misery. She was a teacher of a government owned public school, where her salary was just #30,000naira. Their house rent was about #15,000naira and rising. Doing the math, you'd know that their standard of living was very terrible. She would always go to different homes and help them wash their bathrooms and toilets just for her to get enough money to feed her children. Most of the time, my mother would split our meals at home and give them 70% of the mea, just to help them.
The government school's job was so terrible that they,ll even owe her for close to 6months. The system here is terrible.
The bridge between the poor and the rich here is mind boggling. Like the woman in the story, most people can't feed nor attend schools.
The rich just keep getting richer, gathering all of the money meant for the betterment of the people, and putting it all in their pockets.
Our hope for a better tomorrow in this country-Nigeria; are the youths of this time, but the state of schools in nigeria is heart breaking, children like my neigbours don't even have food to eat so as to even have the energy to attend classes and build their futures.
I took a trip to the state of kaduna-here in nigeria to see their classrooms, and i cried. I went on my knees and prayed to God to provide a means for me to help better the lives of the people around me.
The chairs they had to seat on were all broken and dilapidated,and the school uniforms they were putting on were all torn.
After that day, i went to back home to think on how to help the students attending the government school in my area. They also have torn, ripped school uniforms. I have been reflecting and thinking hard on how i can use this platform - steemit; to provide the materials needed to make good school uniforms for the students, and get a list of the children who have just one parent caring for them. I am hoping that i could start off something here on steemit and be able to create enough awareness about this issue and try my very possible best to provide food for their families, so that they can have a better life.

Hi sir you activities on steemit seems very nice to all of poor families who even don't have internet access but you still believe in people who will send that money to the needy ones. This behavior may lead you to more success. I didn't participate last time as I just seen your blog an drew previous activities.
There is a neighborhood nearest my house just behind my house who don't have kids, they both(couple) striving alone and both are aged as well that's why they can't go to workplace to earn for themselves. So sometimes I helped them by sending some fruits and food in the lunch and dinner time so that they can't sleep with empty tummy. I helped them by sending some flour and vegetables once a week as well. Because I have some pocket money which can be spend on needy and in return I got prayers from them which makes me feel so happy all the time.
Your few pennies may bring happiness in their faces and make them sustained for a while. God bless you an drew may you get more in your future. There are millions who don't have the same means and yet they make things happen out of sheer determination.
Close to where I live, just a stone throw...there is a an abandoned house in which these little children live. They can't cater for themselves, they don't work to earn a little income to fend for themselves.
And its very touching that they keep increasing everyday. I myself I keep wondering why it is so. So what i do to help is that, from my own little income. I buy them food, snacks and I also check up on them daily. It's now as if its my responsibility to care for them @darmath please if u can in any way impact on the lives of these street children begging, it would really go a long way. I kno u are very kind. Hi @damarth. I am a public school teacher and our school is one of the schools that has the poorest students. Our school faculty has initiated a school feeding program, and we are getting from our own pockets to fund this program. We also solicit from politicians and they pledged to help, but until now they haven't sent their help. We are feeding about 80 students in our school from Grades 7 until 12 everyday who are malnourished, and those chosen by their teachers who are really financially struggling. We wish to continue this program and I pledge to donate 100% of what I can earn from this comment to help materialize this initiative. I will post the development of this feeding program soon enough.
Sometime ago, I made a decision to cloth the poorest of the poor kids in my community. Getting to the school, i was confronted with a problem i never planned for, a teacher informed me how she has been feeding a student who beg passersby in the morning for breakfast before going to class. How did she know, she noticed that this particular brilliant chap comes late to school often, as a concerned teacher with lots of human feelings, she invited the pupil to her classroom and spoke to his mind. Then he narrated how his father left his mother to marry another women, ever since he left, they barely eat 2 square meal daily because her mother is unemployed. When they have nothing to eat, he goes to street to beg so his young siblings would have something to eat.
This background is the reason why the teacher has decided to give daily breakfast to this pupil for the rest of his stay in the school. I do not have direct link to this kid, but i believe that i could reach out to the teacher, who has been doing a great job, despite the fact that the state government is owing her 5 months salary.

As their parents are illiterate and and live hand to mouth. I had already done one of my food distribution program in the the month of August when they were effected in floods. I'm doing this for people around me that can afford one meal a day. I also have I neighbor I help out with his school fees. I'm also working on helping young people that can use the internet to get on the platform but they can't afford a device for now.

The steem planet and the world at large cannot thank you enough for your selfless service to humanity with this 'one meal a day' initiative. It is a welcome development at the right time. Although I cannot think of any one that need a meal right now but I am actively committed to empowering those around me to be financially independent by introducing steemit to them. I have just completed a workshop on 1st February, 2018 where about 35 people was introduced to steemit. I was so happy with the outcome of the event because of the chain reaction it Will produce. Each of those people in attendance is expected to take the good news of steemit to at least 5 prospect.
The workshop is going to be a continuous exercise until everyone around me get to know about steemit. This is one of the ways I am committed to eradicating poverty in our society.
I hope to partner with your 'one meal a day' initiative soon. Together we will change our world.
Am actually a freshly admitted student into the University, it was a really tough task paying my tuition fee. Feeding has become very difficult for me recently. Please @Damarth save my soul.

I'll be sending my support to the Be Of Help Foundation where my friend is running an NGO and we're using this to touch the lives of those in our community.
Last year, we were able to visit an Orphanage and the little we had helped put a smile on our faces and we've been pushed to do even more.

I already helped many people around me who can't get food even two times a day because they don't have any source of income except begging money for the sake of food and a shelter so I always tried to help by providing shelter home and some food to eat, and the food is pure which I bought from shop immediatly from a shop.

hey so i think i am late at your post .. so i was busy some where else and now when i visit you profile since few days i was waiting for you if you could help me .. actually its a long story but let me tell it in short that . few days back i was going to my friend house and i meet a person a taxi driver he was having temprature so i asked him why dont you go home and rest you are not well he said i cant do that becouse if i miss one day it will cast me a lot couse i have 9 people to feed .. and he was driving i ask him few more questions and i feel so sad to hear that he made an accident with a truck and his lag was fully damage he was not even gone to hospital because of money and that is so sad ... his everyday earnings is 5 dolor he earn 5 dollars a day driving taxi all day .. actually the taxi is not his own so if he earn 10 dollars he have to give 5 dollars to the owner and he was a man fighting with world ... so i took few pictures and i share the whole story on different sites like facebook no one respond so i came here and i am sure you will help me .. in this if you need more detail of him i can provide that . i will be waiting for your reply its not about just one man its about 10 people life we can help them .. make their life batter ... thank you

So far, aid in the form of clothes and food continues to arrive even quite abundantly. There are types of food aid that already ready to eat and there is also help we do with cooking directly in the place of evacuation. And also we set up some posts for the people who are the natural disaster. Later any assistance received, will be distributed gradually to each post disaster natural disaster shelter.

I require help bolstering some my understudies. I have understudies who cannot bear the cost of breakfast. A dinner cost 20 pennies in USD here. The least expensive and the most nice. I attempt my best to bolster one understudy a day. Idk how you can help. Had a go at welcoming my understudies to join steemit however they dont have web association. I vow to give 100% of the profit of this remark. Will gain a post on the ground. My understudies will complete toward the finish of walk I loathe seeing them being late or stopping school cause they cannot manage the cost of a feast.

really good to see your efforts to solve famine problems and also i am not working on a big project and charity like some rich people and big charities but i really feel happy to help my class fellow which is some poor and his parents cannot providing her every thing so i always try to give her every thing for her study and also pay her school fees from my pocket money and my dady always help me for this and give me some extra for her....
