Often people don't see the other side of Steem's reward system for a while, the 'crab bucket theory', and it's a learning experience. Ultimately it's a social system and if your actions are perceived to be antisocial they might be countered. It's not communism, it's the same system that's brought you success. Learn the territory and adapt.
FWIW I don't believe I downvoted any of your recent successful posts. A few people came to me to point out the votes and timing of them, and I only reminded them that they can use their downvote if they disagree with rewards.

Seems to me that I can still read comments and post that have been flagged. There is a button to show comment. So how is flagging affecting free speech? I myself only flag copy paste scam artist, theft is not free speech. Disagreeing with someone is as much a part of free speech as your right to say it/post it, so long as you did not steal it. If your free speech incites a riot, do you really have a right to say what caused the riot? IMHO, YES, those that rioted did not have to riot just because of words. They were idiots. We as a people have to accept that there are idiots in the world, and I am one of them. Steemit has TWO big problems.
Flaggin and bots.
it also has other problems but those two are the most severe.
Steemit Inc. have taken minor action on bots but have done NOTHING on flagging - we need more proactive action in this area @everittdmickey!
bots and flaggin are the two biggest issues with steemit.

And I'm an anarchist, not a communist, and in favour of collectivism, as it applies to communities, not states. A good society takes care of both the community and the individual, let's leave this false dichotomy behind. The Soviet Union(which was a state capitalist society, not communist) was not collectivism, it was a dictatorship. You can't have collectivism without giving influence to the individual, as society consist of individuals.
True democracy means taking decisions together, with respect for individuals, but without giving any individuals power to control others through political manipulation, private ownership of natural resources, bribery and lobbying, control of intellectual property needed for food production(Monsanto)etc.

Too difficult for me to grasp the truth behind all this whales thing, flagging, down or up or self votes and manipulations of timing.
I think Steemit it's not a platform designed for free speech if that is what you are talking about, it's a social platform from the beginning trying to get quality content (avoiding what is considered dangerous for vulnerable people) to gain money in a fair economic game, not communist, more socialist perhaps but there is not wrong with that if it well apply.
If anybody wants free speech this has never been a place for that and that is written implicit in the same rules that made you be in the position you are.
So I hope you still enjoy the benefits you achieved so far for a long time.
But don't give the free speech thing as it's being lost in Steemit, It has never been gained.

Well, that was an interesting read. "(the comments)", not much at top to read. Seems to mostly be about flagging, and free speech. Seems to me that I can still read comments and post that have been flagged. There is a button to show comment. So how is flagging affecting free speech? I myself only flag copy paste scam artist, theft is not free speech. Disagreeing with someone is as much a part of free speech as your right to say it/post it, so long as you did not steal it. If your free speech incites a riot, do you really have a right to say what caused the riot? IMHO, YES, those that rioted did not have to riot just because of words. They were idiots. We as a people have to accept that there are idiots in the world, and I am one of them. By running away, all one does is show that they did not have the strength of character to stand by there own idea concept of morality. If it is morally right to stand against oppression, then running away when they want to oppress you makes you a slave to their idea of morality. enough said, other than what the hell does SJW stand for?
