A couple of weeks ago @tincho had a brilliant idea. Like many of us, he feels that steemit has dramatically changed his life for the better. Again like many of us, he has met many incredible people on the platform. He wanted to find a way to honor these difference makers. But he did not want to keep this awesome idea to himself. He wanted all of us to be able to benefit from his creation. Thank you @tincho!!!!
He came up with #userschain. This initiative is a way for a steemian to shine a light on someone who they appreciate or gain inspiration from.
So far the chain consists of @tincho, @danilamarilu, @papa-pepper, @verbal-d, @jedau, @therealpaul, @dreemit, @son-of-satire, and @dwinblood.
I was incredibly lucky that @dwinblood chose to include me as the next link in this chain. Thank you @dwinblood for thinking of me and your kind words. I appreciate and am humbled by them. You are one of the true assets of this community. You are constantly encouraging and engaging with others. Even when you disagree with someone, you take the time to provide a thoughtful and respectful response to the authors with whom you engage. You manage to do this without ever attacking a person. You pride yourself on discussing ideas and it shows. Even though you truly enjoy engaging in deep philosophical conversations, it doesn't mean you are afraid to have fun. I truly enjoy your music posts and appreciate your comments on my ridiculous posts about 1970s toys, tv shows and movies.
Now on to my choice for the next link in the User's Chain.

There are so many people who I could have chosen. In fact, it was quite agonizing trying to pick just one (thanks a lot @dwinblood!). I would feel terrible if I left someone out and they thought, "You chose them over me?" Luckily, I happen to know @rigaronib. I don't think any of the other people I failed to choose can possibly be mad at me for selecting him. The dude is simply a great guy. He deserves recognition.
This is a social media site and @rigaronib takes that to heart. He is constantly leaving encouraging and thoughtful comments on others' posts. He takes "engagement" to a whole other level. You can tell he takes the time to read other community members' posts and then doubles down on the time spent by leaving a meaningful comment. For some people, those comments mean more than the rewards earned.

He is also incredibly (possibly insanely) dedicated to the platform. I honestly don't know anyone else who not only posts every day... but creates something every day. @rigaronib is an artist... and an excellent one at that. Every day for the past 193 days he has created a new piece of artwork for all of us to enjoy. Do you know when Pillow Fight Day, Tolkien Reading Day, Corn Dog Day, or Hippo Day are? Neither would I if I didn't check out his blog every day. He does so many whimsical pieces of art that bring fun to the platform. I usually start every morning on Steemit. One of my favorite parts is finding out each morning's holiday.
But wait! There are other holidays that he illustrates as well. Do you know when Autism Awareness Day, Down Syndrome Awareness Day, Send a Card to a Friend Day, or Candle Lighting Day are? Well he does. He takes the time to create amazing art to celebrate these meaningful days... then he shares his creations with all of us.
Sometimes his art is pure fun. Other times he uses it to spread an important and always positive message.
Just today he found a way to make Find a Rainbow Day mean so much more.

You made an excellent choice. The words you chose to describe him are excellent and well thought out. I read his posts everyday also and you're right, he is always positive and uplifting and creates new are every single day. I know that his upcoming travel will recharge him and steemit will be better for it when he returns

This was a nice post. I had not heard of this yet. That is why I started my series awhile back that you made it into, honouring people here I appreciate. This is a unique take on it.
There are lots of people here in this post I do not hear from often but when I do, it is usually the best part of my day pretty much and puts a smile on my face.

It is true. I've told @rigaronib how talented he is numerous times... he DOES win a lot of contests with that talent and he is always encouraging people. I like him a lot.

It is my hope. I think in some regards now, I am in the position you were in sort of, last August when I joined.
I know more about the economics and politics here, I have learned to format posts and use templates etc to save time and keep things looking not brutal, LOL and I always remember new people here need help and have always tried to help a few people/day.
