The Chance To Experience Altruistic Change (WHAT IS THE BEST KIND OF ACTION?)

The world is full of stigma and even when people try not to make it seem obvious through their spoken or written words, their facial expressions or gestures, they can't change the fact that it is still existent in their thoughts, and they don't have to actually explain this because majorly, everyone's thoughts are invincible unless it's otherwise expressed.

Take a look at social media, racism is still rampant and evident and attempts like the UDHR of the 1948 by the United Nation cannot actually change this.

In fact, I use to feel it's the wrongest of actions for we humans to actually write down how we should behave towards our fellow humans, in a sort of loose confederal writings where people only need to pretend. So if we make laws to prohibit certain actions and place certain things as punishable by the law, how can we simply achieve obedience by writing down how we show feel towards each other, irrespective of race, status, background, cultural difference, beliefs or difference in ideologies?

Unspoken But Underlying

Discrimination goes with stigma. We ourselves, understands that everyone irrespective of who they are, deserves equality. Humans thinking low of themselves is why there's always constant segregation. When you take a look at the world currently. Some companies would reject people they deem to be "too ugly" simply because they feel these people wouldn't be able to sell the companies ideas enough simply because they do not have a marketable face.

Now, these companies wouldn't make it evident that they're screening people for their looks as well, they would only keep these intents to themselves simply because if they say it out, loudly, they might appear discriminative, they might even lose clients, or lose business deals. So they'll allow these invincible but active discriminative tendencies to be effective in their choice of selections because no one is there to actually pay attention to their hidden agenda, despite the fact that the world we currently live in is silently advocating for oneness and equity.

I believe that to some certain extent, the functional human believes that stereotypical and discriminative attitude or thoughts is a general limiting factor to how far we can go when it comes to building inter-human relationships, however not everyone totally believes this.

When you look at English football currently, there's a movement called NO ROOM FOR RACISM

In this situation, the players are obligated to knell for one minute before the beginning of a football match to actually show that they're not racist. My question is: does this singular act change the deep racial belief of people, which they've cultivated all their lives? The answer is simple: NO. Overtime we have made attempts towards awareness, as an act to make people change their any existing shrewd ideologies, beliefs or convictions that might have, but honesty I believe most awareness campaigns aimed at inspiring people to do better, only achieves pretentiousness, how come?

A Charade Of Pretense?

Social media for example, is a charade of pretense. This is because we have people who are living double lives; acting differently in other to create an impression. They're people who are typing what is deemed to be acceptable, but generally their social media ideologies isn't in any way Influencing their real-time beliefs. I believe most people say what others would want them to say, because there's no gatekeeping the things that are encapsulated in the mind.

I find it rather useless that we generally need to remind others again and again to actually be magnanimous, never segregate, discriminate or stigmatize others, because subconsciously we have the sense of "right'' and "wrong" and mostly choose to ignore it. The main point here is, creating awareness about showing people they right way to behave towards a particular subject is almost useless, because this can only bring an unrealistic and pretentious change without lasting effect. That is, people can actually pretend to change, in other to follow the herd and not because they've actually changed. This isn't to say the world isn't changing, the pretense, the deceit and lies is what actually makes us think the change is faster and better than it actually seems like.

So What Is the Best Action?

In reality, the best action is challenging people to change and not teaching them to change. I believe that every human entity have the dominion of thoughts and one of the ways through which people actually abolish their thoughts and predominantly create new one's is by going through life-changing experiences as well. My point is to actually abolish segregation, discrimination and stigmatization is that we have to accept the fact that despite the attempts to totally hold different views we cannot but admit that we have made decisions, remarks or openly said things that have actually be different from what we should.

One of the most underwhelming which people can be known to have actually stigmatized another person is by inadvertently pitying them rather than showing them compassion and empathy. This is to show that, to change a person, you need to change their ideas, their belief and their convictions, which in turn change their views. However, the kind of change we tend to forestall on others is the one which they're likely to pretend to change meanwhile they haven't changed. This is to say that we cannot truly change people unless there's a possibility that they themselves are already experience change within them. This is why I believe encouraging people to altruistically change by themselves is the best kind of action.

Extensively written 🙌. I love this post because you have actually reveal ways to actually evaluate and start change at the root. If a problem is not being tackled at the roots the problem grows thicker.

Most of the problems of stigma and segregation that we all experienced in the world start from individuals. Like you said our beliefs and ideas. Every human deserve equal treatment.

When you look at English football currently, there's a movement called NO ROOM FOR RACISM

I feel this is a temporary solution because the players actually do this for 90 minutes or more and then go back to their lifestyle.

Thank you for sharing this post with us. Enjoy reading 😊

Thank you for coming through with that reply. The truth is that, we cannot forestall external change without Internal cleansing. Some of the issues in the world begins with how each individual can choose to rewire who they are. Sometimes these stigmatizatic tendencies comes by default, it depends on people to actually do better.... Be better, and see the intrinsic essense to actually treat people with understanding, tolerance and respect.

What is the best action??

Society has been really pretentious, faking and unsettled. They wait until something really unexpected and dire to happen before they start sounding alarms, making tweets, going to social media and so on. Every one then starts to be advocates, be human right activist.

To what end really?

I like your suggestion

In reality, the best action is challenging people to change and not teaching them to change. But would this really happen??, Would the world really put an end to all these issues, would they embrace change, and accept one another the way we are to coexist as one.

I certainly would love to see a world without racism and discrimination, but it really has to start from somewhere, I pray we get there someday.

Thanks for sharing this amazing work

It would actually not put an end to all these issues and this is because people have the freedom of choice, they can choose to exercise diverse behavioural tendencies and this is even the reasons why I believe that things that creating awareness or teaching and showing people how to behave will eventually not work to some certain extent. It's free, people have to own it within them to actually change for that change to specifically happen as well. Nevertheless, I believe we're discriminative by default, we're only trying to do better.

Yeah, you're right bro.
It's a hard fight to fight. Each individual has a role to play. But well, our discriminative nature wouldn't allow for change

Thanks, the prompt just had a lot to do with me, so I felt it in me to write this one. Thanks for the gift too.

Hmm. You aren't really wrong with all the things stated here.
Indeed, we can't really change a person unless the said person sees the need to change and does it with no restrictions.

Exactly, making sure to do so without restrictions like you rightly pointed out

Sure.
Good to read from you again after a while

Social media for example, is a charade of pretense.

This is the exact reason I am not active on Social Media. People say one thing on socials and do another in real life. It's pathetic. Plus I simply can't stand the hypocrisy.

This is why I believe encouraging people to altruistically change by themselves is the best kind of action.

Humans genuinely change only when it is internally driven. When external factors impact a change in a person, there is a high tendency that when the external factor seizes to exist or reduces in impact, they go back to business as usual.

Interesting and timely post @josediccus

Sir I want to ask you that how hive power is increased my post is not working
