Yeah, I don't usually do black and white too much. Usually if the day is really hazy or bad lighting, B&W can make for a better choice in my opinion. It's all subjective though. :)
Coming from a professional like you, this tip is very interesting to make things black and white in those moments in the photos.

It is on top of the hill? It's immense.
I was standing on top of this and the mountains are to the right in this picture. The observatory was built in the 1930's out of all the lava rock laying around. Great 360° views from there. :)

The curious thing is that one has more snow than the other and they are practically the same size.
I believe there is a big glacier in between the mountains. All the packed ice keeps the snow around longer. The mt on the left is actually about a 1000 feet higher but the steep sides lose the snow faster.
That's right, I hadn't thought of it that way. The steeper the slope, the less snow would accumulate.
Yeah, check out the Snap I did this morning. Same scene but with snow. Shows how the snow doesn't stick as well on the taller mountain.
I will check it out.
I honestly don't know how I'll react when I see and touch snow for the first time. It's something I've always wanted since I was little and it might seem "normal" to someone who lives with snow, but for me it's going to be something very special.
I can imagine. I hope you get the chance to experience snow sometime soon. :)

What would you consider as a HOT SNAP?
For me its something many people comment on and there is a real and genuine discussion under it. We have to many posts and snaps here that is totally "dead" in that regard.
We need more content that generates engagement between the real users of Hive.
Yeah! I fully agree with you on this. I have been noticing this for a long time, and I intend to make an effort to change this situation (at least a little bit).
Everyone can help out in this regard. Just comment on one thread a day, every little action helps.

The Pink Peony recommended by 'Country Living' magazine is 'Sarah Bernhardt'. She is lovely...mainly because the pink in the petals of the flower are of varying shades of pink.

Dogs have the most expressive faces ever, at least many breeds. We had a black lab and joked she would have the worst poker player ever...so obvious in her emotions.
Yeah I can still see my past dogs' faces etched into my mind, expressing all the same annoyed or confused faces at me when I did my silly things around them (as a kid)

It should be prohibited by the contest hosts IMO, I know you can't completely restrict it as they may do this through dm's/other platforms, but openly asking for votes rather than letting voters judge the entries based on merit should disqualify them IMO. cc @lordbutterfly

I sent @lordbutterfly a message about it, should definitely not be tolerated. However I checked some of the replies he's received and it's refreshing to see many telling him not to spam or that they won't vote on him just because he asked. A win for the Hive community!
