The Reason for @azircon's Mute
@azircon has been on a downvote campaign for weeks against one of our tribe members - @lucylin. I recently started paying more attention when @blocktrades joined in on this attack. I was appalled to see that the attack was completely unwarranted. I think this behavior is outrageous.
@azircon also stated on chain that he would take away @lucylin's POB rewards. He then set to work acquiring POB for his stated goal. Because @azircon made his intentions clear, it was a no brainer to mute him from earning POB rewards, imo.

25K Available through HP for PP Delegations
I have removed all delegations. I am reopening the Hive Power (HP) for POB Power (PP) delegations again. Now it will take 3 HP to get 1 PP. The main reasoning for the 3:1 ratio is that there is a limited amount of POB on the market and this is a way for users to gain influence while supporting the platform by adding to @proofofbrainio's Hive upvote value.
The HP for PP delegations are only open to people that have less than 2,500 POB and there is a limit of 7,500 HIVE for each of these delegations. This means that the max delegation is 7500 HP for which you would receive a 2500 PP delegation.
25K Available for Merit Based Delegations
I am also going to make some delegations to people that are adding value to the platform. I like to see people helping to distribute POB through curation and delegation to smaller accounts that are adding value. I also like to see engagement.
I'm sure there are ways of adding value to the platform that I am not thinking about, so I want to leave room for delegating to anyone that is adding value to the platform.
Please reply to this post and show how you have been adding value to the platform and what you plan to continue to do to add value to the platform. I would also like to see people pointing out others that are adding value to the platform so that they can basically nominate someone to have a chance at receiving a delegation.
I am asking you to toot your own horn and/or show appreciation for other users that are helping the platform. I will research claims that are made about what value accounts are providing and then make delegations accordingly.
Please reply to this post if you're making an HP delegation so I can make sure you that you get your PP delegation. If we are approaching the 25k limit, you should check with me in the comments or in the discord before you delegate to make sure that it is still available. As always delegations can end at any time.
My own personal preferences regarding downvotes aside, I feel that if someone wants to power up and get involved in reward distribution (downvotes included), that does not warrant being muted. @lucylin has been receiving the most votes from you. What is a 400 POB-power downvote going to do to a post with 150 POB rewards? Drop it by 1 POB.
You can "protect" people in the tribe that you support by being the LARGEST WHALE. Not by unilaterally removing people that you disagree with.

The value of the token has plummetted since this fiasco. Is it because of all of the drama. Maybe, and maybe it is partially my fault. Is it because people are losing trust in the platform. Maybe, and maybe that is on you .
If you want to get this ship back in the right direction, there should be some standards set that warrant a mute from you. There should be governance rules set in place and some form of stake weighted voting. I didn't agree with how @azircon went about things but I do agree with him that distribution is not 100% fair. His downvotes were the equivalent to a mosquito bite on a Lion. Annoying at best.
I would rather be on a platform where I might be a little bit annoyed rather than one where someone rules with absolute unilateral power.

Is this the culture you want to promote here and do you think it's better than Hive? I don't think so and there are several people who don't feel the same. Technically tribes are centralized but in reality, the action of their stakeholders and the tribe owners matter. Many peeps on PoB crib about centralization, censorship, bullying etc., that is going on Hive. This is no different to me. To make this right, maybe ask for people's votes and I am sure many of your own POB friends will vote against your decision of muting @azircon. You can do anonymous voting!
I don't think your actions stopped the drama. Not even a bit. It's only going to grow if you guys don't resolve this in peace by setting aside your emotions and egos. Find a concrete solution to all these problems by collaborating with each other and not doing the opposite.
Do you know how many people you guys are pushing away because of this shitshow? I have said it before multiple times. This doesn't seem like a positive place anymore. I was so excited about this a few weeks ago. Seeing all this happening, it's disheartening and demotivating. I had so many crazy plans to execute but I am in a huge dilemma now. You seem like a reasonable guy and I really appreciate what you have built here. Like all the cool initiatives & contests that the community organizes and I log in to the platform for them. Just don't want to see all of it getting ruined. I sincerely hope we make peace and focus on building rather than fighting.

I think there is no reason for @azircon to apologize, he can do with his stake whatever he wants, even I disagree with some of his ways to communicate - muting was not necessary and we see what is happening now. I am a fan of discussing such important bit around a promising business / model or tribe and any objections from other parties to happen NOT directly on the chain. Personally have a different opinion anyway on the Hive chain and its 1st layer reward stuff since 2 years.

I know as long as he keeps down voting that it will be impossible to regain your Reputation number on hive. I was a long time follower of Lucylin, and to be honest the attack and the stated for all to see that one man thinks he can play god on Hive and play it successfully just because he can., is despicable in my opinion. He could not leave it at and on hive but then tried to bribe you to sell him some POB, I am glad you refused, yet you were still polite enough to suggest someone he could buy POB from.
At this juncture I am wondering how long I will remain on the hive block chain, it has become nothing more than another tyrannical social media outlet. When there is power and money involved, conflicts come. This type of drama makes people scared off, because that tires the fights, those things are not healthy for the platform. Out today a coin that is on the ground in price if people would be fighting to get a piece of that cake.

It's difficult for me initially, you know, to be on the side of either Azircon or POB completely given how things went down. I exist in shades of gray, but my actions are clear. I'm still here. I believe in the project and community.
I'd like to nominate @da-prince, @sugandhaseth, @mineopoly, and @magnacarta for a 500 POB delegation each for their efforts in POB Talk. I feel like the delegation will help provide the opportunity to learn about responsible voting which can be exercised on the platform and in POB Talk.
My hopes would be that extra votes could be given to members in POB Talk that share meaningful and valuable comments to further improve the platform (either through ideas/suggestions, help, or knowledge). The interaction that happens on POB Talk is also transferable to other areas of the platform, so having people to encourage high quality engagement (quality over quantity) on a personal basis is important.
I see the accounts shared as stewards of POB Talk. I've followed along and I see great quality comments and genuine engagement from these accounts regularly.

Keep up the fight. I'm not looking for a delegation myself obviously but think the 3 for 1 delegation is a great idea. I am going to keep upvoting good POB content as much as I can, and if my own account continues to be downvoted on Hive, the effect of that is to put more of my attention into POB.

I do not require delegations nor would I ask for them if I met the requirements at this time.
While I initially posted articles on POB because it was new and shiny, I got more involved because of @calumam's activities. The rewards have been nice, the engagement is fantastic, and the tribe is new.
Given my background, I felt it was like any other tribe at its inception...too new. It was founded on a logically prepared dream. However, aren't all organizations started this way? I read about how POB doesn't have a use case as an argument and find it difficult for it to find purchase when a detractor finds no use case for their favorite token.
I have experience in project management and am finishing a master's degree in that craft. I'm debating about a doctorate. I've written project plans, procedures, data bases, and applications to make business decisions easier. If it wasn't for the allure of the POB concept and Cal's drive I'm not sure I would have stayed on hive for reasons stated by @offgridlife. The community reminds me this is a good place to be.
For now, I will try continue curating in a manner that benefits more people. I have guidance from onealpha's post and @amr's cleverly designed tools for that goal. The priority for me is to continue working on the roadmap and publish guidelines that people can scrutinize. During this summer, I will provide updates to these guides and then request a vote for ratification.
I ask that everyone please review them and give their input. Without your input, I don't know that we can move forward. Oh! Support @leprechaun! The POB-Ecency project is a perfect use case for POB. And it is a clear demonstration of what we can achieve if we value something.

Regarding merit-based delegation. Go for @amr008. Delegate to his engagement project because it has been incentivizing others users to engage. As you mentioned, you are looking for people to comment more so this is the best way to go about it.
One more suggestion, instead of delegating to single users, find a curation project on POB that could help with the distribution to a wider range of creators. I am planning to start such a project myself but it's in the planning phase right now. Once it's on, I might get in touch with you if you seem interested, until then, I hope you find something or someone else. I see other comments suggesting a lot of names that I wanted to mention so not tagging them again.

@scholaris.pob does a great job in interacting with folks. He has always leaned toward the witty and gracious side in all my interactions. I think he would be a phenomenal person to give a delegation.
I probably don't come on here often enough for a delegation to make too much difference. I post a couple times a week if I can and usually stick around to check the newest of posts so that I can give a vote to something new. I figure this gives them the best chance of standing out-but I try not to upvote crap posts. If I don't think it is valuable for the community, I just don't vote on it and move on to the next until I find something worthy of a vote...and I often leave a comment, because I think it is nice as an author to get feedback. I know I like it. After all, I enjoy the upvotes on my posts, but it's the engagement I look forward to the most because it shows that my thoughts are truly worth someone else's time. I'm here instead of SteemIt...I hope that means something.

I’ve been active on POB for over a month now and have made POB a priority in my life. I love the community, the people and the open mindedness. It truly feels like I have found my home on the blockchain. And that is also the reason why I make sure to bring a positive contribution to this space by helping out the community when needed and started POB Question Of The Week as a way for everyone to get to know each other better and to encourage people to really be a part of POB.
I believe in this place and it’s future and that is the reason I stake every POB that I have gotten (except for the first two POB QOTW, I distributed the rewards to all who commented).
I check new, hot and trending every day and curate posts that are well written, interesting and bring something to the table. As well as participating in downvoting if someone has plagiarized.

Exclusively using the frontend since I joined in the first or second week of May. I have used the POB frontend and only the POB frontend for at least 95% of all my activities since then. And will continue to do so especially with the incoming ecency based frontend. I post and comment actively (although I've not been so active for the past one week and some days, but I'm back now.), I used to be featured regularly on the top of the Hive Engagement league because of my high engagement and since May all that engagement have been done using the POB frontend.
I've made two posts I consider very helpful to the POB Community.
The first one is this one I made a month ago, educating people on Hive about how the POB Community is not just for posts about the brains and brain related subjects. This misconception was surely stopping a lot of people from making general topics posts freely. I bet I played a part in increased posts and members with this post of mine.
The second post is this one I made just last week about how 'Proof of Brain' and other general community names written next to a post is occupying the space where the theme of the post is supposed to be in thereby making the reader not to know most of the time at first glance what the theme of a post is. So instead of only 'Proof of Brain' standing at the top of a post how about the theme of the post join it up there also? Themes like 'music', 'philosophy', 'poetry', etc, that's what the space at the top of the post where we find 'Proof of Brain' is supposed to contain, but I'm saying it can contain both. It would make for a better UX.
I'm an asset to POB since I'm an entertaining writer of the humour and insights niche and I use the frontend for all these posts and comments.

Yes, as long as you have less than 2500 PP. You can add to it just by delegating the total amount that you want your delegation to be and it will change it to that amount.

I did propose a curation account with a delegation a little while back but got no response. Receiving votes from @proofofbrainio is a centralised vote. With a large delegation to a different curation account, we could have some significant and transparent rewards going to those posts that deserve it, not just the same old people all the time. Just my two cents.

Apparently I was not caught up in all the events. I responded to an earlier post of yours regarding DV. Some random user DV'ing me has zero impact on my psyche. Even if no comment was left. The DV pattern on some posts, though, is just malicious without an explanation at least.

From my point of view many here were called already, but I got to say @scholaris.pob again for his awesome work in the tribe and all around, @amr008.pob also, amazing guy and really engaged, @calumam for all he did, does and (I hope) will do for this tribe, @battleaxe for all the help she gives me in keeping discord fun and neat, @failingfowards for maaaaaaaaany ideias for the tribe (sorry buddy, I'll do the polls from the pob-idea soon), @interpretation for his awesome analises and graphs, @marvinix for bringing many people here, being a stand up guy and also running a very successful contest (POB-Daily), @wiseagent because we always post EVERYTHING in 3 languages and always try to keep a positive and infortive view of things, and also @hranhuk, because his posts and ideias helped shape many things in here, mine included.
Now about me: I was on a leave from here because of some things in my life, so I was not posting so much (and now I'll try a little more) but am always around voting and commenting. Basically all my posts are from the POB front-end and also most of my UVs go to people that post from here. Since my day one I said I'll be here for the long run and I mean it. I gave 1.637 POB (total) to the winners of my Storytelling contest, and also 200 POB delegation from the same contest, when i hit 3k staked I gave 1k delegation to the winner of the contest, and also 250 to @nevies (he had a good point and explained to me on discord) and on his birthday I also gave him more 500 delegated (I wanted to give him only 250, but since it went that much I left it) and even when I lost my first delegation I didn't took it out.
Today I just started a new contest (you can check it out here) the has the goal of helping people from diff countries to interact and hopefully bring more people onboard. I'll also give 25 pob to each of the languages, to spread even more between everybody. And yes, I keep the POB Discord running clean and smooth, and soon I'll make it even better (I will try, I promise!)

I have already exceeded the limit of 2,500 POB POWER (something I achieved by publishing quality posts, promoting engagement and with the help of those who voted for my posts) to request a new delegation.
However, if there is the possibility of winning delegations on merit... It would be great to be part of this list because since my first post in this community I have been committed to making it grow.
My posts always have a meaning, a purpose. Just posting to make an appearance is not my style (posting without content is not part of my "portfolio"). I also run contests and hope to be able to help others and promote more engagement for the community.

For users who deserve some delegation, we can take a look at @amr008's tool in the ProofOfBrain Engagement section.
There are small users like @jersteemit and several others that deserve some attention as they are generating genuine engagement for the community.
No one with more than 2,500 POB is eligible for the HP for PP delegations moving forward. But that requirement does not apply to the merit based delegations.

The abuse of downvotes is legit dumb. Should be a better way to combat spam than by having a free downvote because the majority of the time I've seen it abused simply because you don't agree with someone. It's highly demotivating and really makes you not to be part of the platform when you see that kind of crap going on. What's even more sad is it comes from some of the top figureheads of the platform. Like lets grow the F up people and start freakin building something already.

After thinking a long time after the drama and all what happened and knowing that I fight plagiarism in POB, you may see that in spam abuse. I decided to comeback creating and powering up all my earnings here.

They took BTC and gave the investors Bitconnect token. The whole thing was a massive pyramid scheme. And obviously it collapsed. Several Bitconnect shills were right here on steem/hive....Trevon James, Craig Grant...they continue to shill during the last bull market. Several people, including multiple hive witnesses and large stakeholders (later myself included), stopped their shill plan on hive at least. They tried several times by the way, we stopped them each time, thereby protecting small investors. You know the tool we used then? Downvote. As this is really the only tool that was and is available to us.

I am beyond the 2500 POB limit but I would like to thank you, @proofofbrainio, for delegating me POB early on so I could help spread it around and build my stake. I have now started an @oldmans.pob account and funding it with POB from my main account. I use it mostly to curate manually from new and try to spread my vote around as much as possible to quality content.
I also have a significant amount of POB delegated to @amr008.pob's engagement program. I feel that helps both users that want to engage and my overall stake which in turn makes my curation vote more meaningful.
Hopefully things will settle a bit now and we can get back to trying to grow the community. Thanks again. :)
Infighting like this can destroy a platform. Having arguments through articles and comments isn't going to solve anything.
I'm not invested in POB (except for some time) but if I was I would be furious.
I am pretty much surprised what happened here within a short time frame - I am still sure PoB has a valid differentiator vs. other tribes but some moves here got out of control. I am not in agreement with the messages soem Hive whales communicated but they have some points and muting someone is maybe a bad idea in general especially in that case.

I will stick to talking only about the issue of delegation, as I am interested in receiving it and being a curator of smaller profiles. I have been actively posting and participating, always focused on building true, authentic and community-created content. My strongest engagement is in POB, I am taking the stake of the coins seriously despite the drop in value. And I still copy here the message I sent you on discord, if you haven't seen it:
I've seen this chaos that took place in the community just as a spectator and as someone who unfortunately has lost some of the good curation that was going on. I see a certain battle of egos going on there and how an outsider would like to ask. Is there any possibility that I would receive a sizable delegation from you to do curating work that I see lacking in the community?
As I've commented in discord and other posts, since Calumam stopped voting for several people (including me) I've lost track of his curatorship, meaning no one is getting votes from the whales, at least not as much as possible to benefit the group. I think a good curatorship would make a big difference, and I wish I could be one of those. If this is possible, I await your response. (Sorry for any grammar mistakes, I'm using translator).

I'm probably among Lucy's staunchest supporters, I encountered him very early on, I find him to be highly entertaining, it's why I vote up on his posts.
However, the other side of this is that he was pulling down top 20% rewards while bashing the very people that support the price he is selling at, a very impolitic thing to do, iyam.
I'd think that somebody buying pob, or hive, for an immediate emotional payday is a good thing.
Drama sells the papers, and we have an over abundance of papers to sell, atm.
So, let the bulls but heads, it's just what bulls do.

Free speech platforms don't mute people.
People who actually support free speech vote things that chap their hides, or they only support speech they find agreeable and need to stop lying themselves, and others.

OMG so what if we flag you just gonna mute us? This POB is turning out to be just as bad as any other tribe. I downvoted you because you make too much, that is all. I downvote some of the grossly overpobbed posts, and then i turn around and upvote the poor smaller posts that get neglected. I can see it now you are gonna mute me next, oh well. This system is messed up, you make downvotes, and stake, then you penalize us for using them. Weak! Flagged!!!!!!!
If you, personally, got muted for downvotes I would have a problem with that action unless the votes became malicious. Unfortunately determination of malicious activity appears as subjective as DV or UV. I'm not sure of a fix for that determination. It doesn't really exist right now outside of a consensus.
DV'ing for what you feel is over-rewards may not be socially acceptable but it is allowed. UV'ing smaller accounts because you feel they're not getting enough is both allowed and applauded. Vote distribution issues appear to be across the board in HIVE, but we're trying to develop something that works for as many people as possible.
