A Picture & Video Day Out In One Of The Busiest Cities Of Lagos

So I was taking a tour from Oshodi to Ojuelegba briefly before I go back to college on Monday and it was if course a worthwhile tour to be honest it was worthwhile. Lagos is a very busy place and you can of course lose yourself in the frenzy. One thing that's quite popular is how the traffic slows down one's schedule and of course Lagos has the highest commercial venture in any state in Nigeria, the population of Lagos alone is bigger than some countries in West Africa, Ghana is an example. So because of the more financial possibilities in Lagos, it makes it quite populated from private business owners to public firms.

Cities like Oshodi, Ojuelegba, Ogba, Akilo, Ikeja Agege are heavily commercialised cities, while places like ikorodu are mainly residential. Infact most places in Lagos are strictly for business and so many private business owners both small and big have homes in other states like Ogun state but they majorly come to Lagos to trade and well make money. Quite noticeably Lagos might become too populated very soon despite being one of the largest cities in West Africa and this is because of migration from other States to Lagos.

Watch video of Lagos traffic

In the picture I majorly depicted the hustles and bustles of Lagos and of course how beautiful it can be on camera. In the video I uploaded, I was seen in a commercial vehicle making videos of the traffic and how many cars can contain one lane and sometimes it can become frustrating. Sometimes one can spend two hours on a journey that's meant to be 15 minutes and sometimes it could be worse. It's often said that the traffic in Lagos can never be compared to even the country's capital which is in Abuja or anywhere in Nigeria and anyone hoping to live, work and enjoy a quiet calm life in Lagos might not just get it.

My college is in Ikorodu, another distant state in Lagos and the traffic too can be crazy but then It's part of the life. Truth is, people are continuously buying vehicles on a daily basis and hence it's populating the roads despite the terrible economic condition of Nigeria in general. So generally the state government of Lagos has done well in making the state quite lucrative to an extent and if other states can do so, then the constant migration to Lagos from other States might just reduce. So here you have it, is there a city in your country that has a worst traffic than Lagos?

No doubt Lagos is a very beautiful and adventurous place. The busy activities that goes on in this state makes it stand out from any other in the country - even standing out against the country's capital (Abuja). And yea, most times, it could be frustrating to be late for a dream job or appointment because of some shitty traffic got you sticked up. But I guess, that a way to teach you to be always prepared for any possible - as well as what may seem to be impossible outcome.

Definitely, it was quite tasking to record this one because I had to take my time as well. Lagos is bae lol whatever happens we love Lagos hahaha. Thanks for dropping by

Yea, lol. Some people will always say, if you can survive in Lagos, you can survive in any part of the world. I think that statement isn't kidding at all.

I reckon you stay in Lagos?

I want to visit lagos

You're always welcome

The edits on the pictures are so cool. I was in Lagos last year for the first time. The traffic is mad. I had to do a lot of walking and paid an insane amount to bike riders for a very short distance

Well Lagos is expensive to stay in but we're used to the expensive nature and the traffic too, I guess the north isn't so intense as Lagos right?
Well on the edits I didn't really do much just tweaked the HDR effect, it was all camera, thanks for dropping by

The north isn't like Lagos at all. Its calmer there.

The pictures are so crisp. Well done.

Thanks a million and thanks for actually curating...

What a busy place! I can't see myself living in crowded places, did it for 3 years during my college and I still regret it lol

If there's any State in Nigeria that's synonymous with heavy traffic and lock jams in Nigeria, it will definitely be Lagos. The bus drivers and conductors should be a topic for another discussion @Josediccus. Bravo for this piece.

Lol the bus drivers are a whole new problem themselves. I'm glad you enjoyed the post, thanks for the comment
