The crypto market has seen some turbulent times. Both the price of STEEM and SBD are down considerably since January. Good content is becoming more difficult to find and some people are losing faith.
Have you stopped posting because the price of STEEM is down? Well if that is the case then good, because you are obviously here for the money and money only. But if you believe in Steemit, if you believe you produce good content, if you have been involved in the community aspects of Steemit then I bet, like me, you are still posting.
The price of STEEM and SBD have been considerably higher than now, and believe me, in time, they will go that high again and even higher.
Use this time wisely. Don’t stop posting because you are not earning enough. Do you really think if you stop posting now and then come back for the good time when the price is high, people here will support you? Be consistent. Continue to produce great if not awesome content and while we have this downturn, use it to grow you’re following, to engage with other, and as the weeks and months go by, your STEEM and SBD holdings will grow.
Continue to engage within the communities, as this is where relationships are fostered and grow as this will be key to your success on steemit. If you have joined a community and are no engaging with them, don’t expect anything in return. But if you engage with them, they will engage with you.
When the prices rise again you will be very very glad that you have done this.
I know not everyone is a great writer, but there are many ways you can earn STEEM on Steemit. If you watch this video you will find other ways.

Very well said Paula! I like to remind people too that this so-called 'low' price is actually HIGH if you've been here since the beginning. Even last spring and summer I would have died for a 2$ Steem or SBD.
Definitely good riddance to all of the 'fair weather friends', and I hope they don't come back when the price skyrockets again. But if they do, well I know who they are and they won't be getting my support the 2nd time around.
I definitely remember the days when my upvote was always rounded up to $0.00 and the joy or earning $0.1 BSD for all the blood, sweat and tears :) In fact if anyone needs a reminder of how you can't take anything for granted, just throw away your master key and start over again :D
mrs @lyndsaybowes, i have not felt the moment as you felt it, l can'nt imagine when steem like the price of a bottle of water that does not contain water, it seems sad at that time ?, I was here when the price of steem can to buy a ring to apply for a girl, that's just an example. conclusion is you are great people who are very consistent with quality work that can survive when steem is just a point of no value, now you become something that is very useful for others. this is my appreciation for you, the enormous love for our community in this world.

yes we do need money for life but behind every great business is a great lot of work, in steemits case a great lot of awesome content
I am with you mom, some times where we have to make partitions for some things that are actually the same goal but the process is to different, I say here do not lose with the process, but enjoy the victory with the result as long as you consisten with this.
I will continue to make the posting, though SBD Steem and being down the price, The family steemit is much better for me, I found a lot of changes here, steemit is a great platform.

I strongly agree with what you write @paulag, do not ever discouraged because the price STEEM and SBD down, this is our chance to show that we remain consistent and still work in steemit without thinking about the price of SBD and STEEM, because it is the rules are the market will experiencing the ups and downs of prices.

Thanks for this motivational post. I think so too. That I also get money here in the Steemit network through the post I see more as a pleasant side effect as a main motivation. It is much more important for me to be part of this fascinating network and to be able to exchange ideas with interesting people.

Really true, and in my opinion this message is entitled with everyone because money will stay today and will go tomorrow but an community will stay forever and if you were producing good content in past then produce that content today also with same passion because don't demotivate yourself because prices are low, life is difficult but it is difficult if you think, so if you think that you can do it then you will do it, in my opinion Steemit holds great things ahead and SMT's are one of them so when we face difficulties don't think about negative aspects in turn move forward with positive aspect this way you can conquer anything in life. Hi Paula! Well said, thank you for that dose of motivation. I was needing. Thing is I have faith on steem but for me is hard to always keep posting good content, sometimes I do but you know how it is...for example the last couple weeks I wrote only 2 posts and not beacuse of steem/sbd low prices but because I don't know what to write, I hope this 'mental block' does not last long hehe. Another thing or reason to keep posting in these low price time is that we earn more SP per STU (steem token units), because the author reward is divided by the steem value in USD. A post with $10 STU in rewards, with steem at $ 2 will give more SP that the same reward with steem at $ 6 for example ...
I get a mental block too - there are days I dont post (today being one of them) but you could use that time to become a great curator, finding posts and leaving awesome comments
There are certainly plenty of support for newcomers on Steemit in the way of competitions and communities. @newbieresteemday is probably one of the best I have seen and provides opportunities for everyone through various initiatives like @newbiegames, but there are others too like @helpie and @asapers as well working hard without a lot of delegation (so obviously not in it for the $). There are plenty of contests on @artz's Steemit Competition Compilation post as well.
Ultimately I hope these efforts will give the local communities ideas on how to grow their numbers and gain a presence on Steemit... I think the Philippines is a great example with @steemph and @artguildph adding tremendous value. Malaysia is another example and perhaps there could be more collaboration between countries with established groups sharing their learning and experience with other community leaders?

your post is so encouraging @paulag, I met a group of people whom learning how to write a good sentences through this platform, last week I ask them are you still post your content in the steemit, yes I do, event I got 0.00, his word is give me a spirit to keep on writing in this [platform.
I am glad you mentioned learning how to write good content - this seems to be a misunderstanding here on steemit - what is and what is not good content. Is good contest 300 words about some ones day? or is good content informative, fun, entertaining, educational and in long form?
actually the group of steemian that I met is using esteem application for posting their content, they post their daily activities about 300 words in one post, they set up a group to share the information.
300 words is not really awesome content
