Very Busy after Certification

After it received the first level 4 certificate from NAAVCA, a lot of things changed for the NeMo Trucking Software company. But they were prepared.

Paramvir and Chen became full-time employees and were tasked to maintain and upgrade the software. In particular, they worked on software drivers for all the new sensors that the company was asked to provide.

Bianca, Nestor's younger sister, was hired to take care of the public relations of the company. She was already up to date with the way the company operated. She knew the full history of the creation of NeMo software products.
She was told by Nestor and Moana to do most of the interviews by herself. During the first month after the certification, the couple did only three television appearances: two in Canada on CBC in English and on Radio-Canada in French, and one in the United States on PBS.

Nestor and Moana were mostly busy with the contracts with truck manufacturers, small and big, that wanted their trucks to be certified at level 4.

To be certified, a truck needed to be first registered as a non-autonomous truck. It also needed to have a certified self-driving software system and certified sensors. The certification of the sensors (cameras, LIDARs, etc...) was obtained by the manufacturers from NAAVCA.

Everybody in the company worked every day for two months, except on Christmas Day and January 1st.

It is only in February 2029 that Nestor and Moana went on a trip to Calgary and back with Nestor's truck that was now certified level 4.

If the manufactures are self certifying they sensors that seems like a conflict of interest.

It seemed that I was not clear enough. I meant that the manufacturers had to get the certification of their sensors from NAAVCA. I will clarify.

It would be an interesting plot twist to leave it if you ever want there to be an issue down the line. It could be traced back to someone forging a document or something.
