Certain Uncertainty

in #writing9 months ago

This post was inspired by the creative process and the title itself (which usually takes place at the end, as I typically use a working title until then). As my fellow creators can attest, the certain uncertainty which accompanies the gestation of any new creative endeavor, is part of the fun when building something where nothing existed before.

I didn't even plan for this to be a post, and was in the middle of responding to an article by an amusing Raptor, when I needed to come up with a short string of words that all began with the Letter "L".

It was fun coming up with that using my remnant brain-stem as opposed to the cheating ChatGPT (Those that use it to fake-write posts on Hive for huge rewards are cheating themselves out of the benefits gained when exercising their brain).

But yeah, the one thing that is certain when beginning a new writing project, is the uncertainty of tilling the land not knowing what obstacles you will encounter along the way. How you handle the rocks and boulders in the literary field that you're plowing, will decide how you grow as a writer.

Fertile Fields

So here we are, we're already in paragraph 5, and this all began with two simple words. Someone told me recently that it's hard to be creative with words, but these people need to free their minds during the creative process.

It's OK not to know what to write next, that's how I started this post out. It's completely normal to make "mistakes" along the way, that's how we grow as writers and content creators.

Nothing good ever (or rarely) comes easy. But if you keep putting one creative foot in front of another, you'll find those moments where the words pour out of you like living water, which nourishes the heart, mind and spirit.

Now get out there and slay that monster of Uncertain Certainty! Your creative process will be all the better for it.

If you found that this post added value or inspired you, you know what to do... :)
