Welcome back to the QOTW! This week we have a curious question that touches on a theme that I'm sure most of us have some ideas on. Meditation is one of those things that SO many of us would like to do, and yet so few of us actually manage to do. This week I invite you to look within and share your perspective as to why you think this is so! Whilst meditation may mean something slightly different to each of us, I think most of us can agree that we are talking about sitting down with eyes closed and looking within. It does not necessarily mean stopping thinking, which can be a part of meditation for some, but instead i am only referring to the act of sitting with eyes closed and observing our inner world and breath.
Whether you have ever meditated before or not, this question can be answered by you all. If you are someone who does want to meditate but have never managed please share with us why you think that is the case for you. Maybe this is something you have not really thought about before, so please do take this opportunity to do so, and see what answers you come up with. If you are someone who has meditated, or does meditate then I would love to hear about your experiences. Is it hard for you to do, do you meditate daily? Perhaps the answer for you is that it is NOT hard for you to meditate, in which case please share how meditation goes for you and what benefits you experience from it.
As always, you are free to expand upon this question or focus on any aspect of it that you like. You may wish to focus on the psychology of our minds, or the great benefits that meditation has brought to your life. If you do meditate regularly then now is a great time to just share your experiences, which may well be a source of inspiration and motivation for others. Whoever you are, whatever your views, all are welcome to join in and share what you think!
