#piratesunday is one of the favorite posting days in this community! The tag was started by @stokjockey about three years ago and has gained a life of its own!.
Anyone may join in, and you are certainly encouraged to do so... write anything pirate-themed related, or not... just use the tag, and join in!

This next one was my first Mermaid Silver Round.
Tales of sirens on the high seas date back as far as ancient Greek mythology. In the famous ODYSSEY by Homer, the alluring and melodious songs of the Sirens were so irresistibly sweet that sailors couldnt help but sail toward the noise. In the end, their boats crashed upon the rocks which the sirens were perched. The result was often a gruesome death.

Sleep is so important. I have seriously put it in my daily goal to be in bed by 9:30PM. It is good for the body, ( gosh, my eyebags), mind, spirit. It is not called "beauty" sleep for nothin', LOL!

All 4 are very nice but I think todays silver round is my favorite so far. Such great detail on both sides, very nice silver round thanks for showing.
The truth is.... any silver will do for me. Silver is silver, and for as long as I keep going, I know that my savings is growing! But I do love the Privateer Siren... it was my first 2 oz silver round that has a mermaid design.

Awesome... I have this one, and the Kraken. My favorites
Oh yeah! We have this in common, my friend! I love the Privateer series of Elemental. It is so sad that the series ended. I was so sure that there were more to come, because it depicts the colorful stories around pirates and their adventure.. and then the company's fiasco ... sad. They would have made a killing on this series!

You will know about who minted in on #piratesundayunday, LOL! That mint actually produced and keeps producing mermaid design coins but they are in clad form, and the designs are not acceptable by my own personal standards. There was one coin from the secondary market, that even in clad I was going to get because the design was decent enough, but the seller and I did not come to terms on a price acceptable to him or me.

I know right! Still, my average cost is still a bit higher than today's spot price. It is the hand-poured silver (which I have much of) that eschewed my average cost. I need to stop buying those.
