I have officially moved over all my CUB Farms from v1 to v2 liquidity. The only annoying issue I saw was that sometimes the LP page on Pancake didn't load up properly and I had to refresh it a few times before I could add my V2 liquidity.

I just threw all mine in the CUB Kingdom.
A decent APY plus I am very bullish on the price of CUB. We will see if I am right over the next few weeks. Need to get past this transition and get word on the next IDO.
We also have the Leofinance mobile application to look forward to (not Cub but it is also part of the ecosystem).

It is going to be the death of centralized exchanges. As DeFi gets stronger and more is done in cryptocurrency, we will see the government's ability to intercede diminished.

The only problem I see with DEXs is that you don't get to exchange your crypto with FIAT. Ultimately, we all have to go through centralized channels to take out profits.

Fiat to crypto-- that is the most important hurdle to overcome.
What if instead of going directly from fiat to crypto we went to something else first? Say, something from this list:
Ideally Bitcoin would have taken care of the privacy issue, but that wasn't a priority for Satoshi Nakamoto.
Next best alternative would be using privacy services such as BTC tumblers or privacy coins such as Monero (and others), but there's a delay (that's required) between submitting the X BTC to get back a purified or untainted batch of X BTC.
Would my idea as described here work, or is it just adding complexity for no reason if the end result is the same as no change?

I did. And I agree. We're all going to be sitting here chatting and it's going to make a little run. And then some of the whales will try to sell it down but it won't drop. And then it will run some more and more whales will take some profits. And then it will keep going.
Once it gets on the map, I totally agree with you. It could very well go parabolic for a little while and then it will get interesting. People here will literally be shaking trying to figure out what to do when it's at $10. I mean all of a sudden 1700 HIVE bought and/or earned for a couple hundred bucks will be 17 grand. That's actually real money.
It's going to be crazy but I bet there will be some serious volatility. It will partially depend on whether things like 3Spk and ProjectBlank hit the mainstream. If they do, and influencers start talking about them, you could actually start to see some institutional money come in and then, watch out.
It's going to be fun. Still cheap....but for how long?

Bear market and we werent getting a lot of sign ups.
As stated in the article, there are accounts with millions of Hive Power so they can claim a ton. Without many signing up, a couple hundred a day, no problem to over.
When you get 10K a day for weeks on end, that starts to get more difficult.

Well they generally just claim because they can't use up all their resource credits. So they might as well use it to claim tokens incase they are needed in the future.

It technically costs money to create a new Hive account.
But as we have the RC system, you can use those to create new accounts 'for free'.
Go into the HIVE section of your LeoFinance wallet and you'll see this:
I think you need around 7K HP (spare and undelegated) to be able to create a new account using your RCs.
While there is no market to trade account creation tokens right now, once Hive gets bigger there probably will be.
So it could be a savvy long-term play to claim as many account creation tokens as you can which may eventually be sold.

We most likely hit the 10% HBD to Hive threshold. That means payouts will also be in liquid Hive under we get below that level.
So more Hive is being put out there. Of course, a run in the price of Hive would fix it.

PeakD allows you to claim them.
Go to your wallet, hit the down arrow next to "delegate" in your HP section, and it will tell you when you click on claim multiple accounts how many you can claim.

I have Ledger Nano but I never really used it. In case of malfunction or damage to your device, you lose your funds. Gone!

Ledger doesn't really store your crypto. It is like a key to access your funds stored on the blockchain.

If a hardware wallet malfunctions, you can use a software wallet or even another brand hardware wallet to recover your funds. Just need to use the same seed words.

As others are saying, you can use your seed words to access your crypto.

Some people experienced issues migrating the bLeo and DEC farms. It seems it can take a long time for the page on Pancakeswap to load, but it does work eventually
You will need to do a few transactions to unstake, remove liquidity, add liquidity on V2 and stake again, so make sure you have some spare BNB to pay for the fees
