This feels very good, dear passer-by!
I am sure these were the thoughts of this cat, I met already some time ago in one of my walks. I usually see it and it likes cuddles, so we are both happy - the cat and me too! I don't know her name or age, but just one thing is important: She is very friendly!
I have always had cats, not just one, but mainly several ones at the same time. Black, ginger, black and white combination, grey or calico cats, all were loved and cuddled. I remember many stories and funny situations that happened with them. Maybe my most loved cat, a tri-colour one called Mica, had the most interesting behaviour. Actually, nobody liked her when she arrived at our home, the family said she is not nice and is very wild. Except me. She became my cat, under my protection and what a surprise, later my cat became a loved cat by everyone.
I am sure I already mentioned this specific story, but it was a long time ago. I will never forget the situation when she gained the respect of the whole neighbourhood, beating one dog. Not any dog, but one breed of a fighting dog. She just had her babies and was protecting them when the neighbour dog escaped from its home. It was more than funny to see a cat fighting a dog which is supposed to be a dangerous one. In no time everyone knew the story and Mica became popular :))
We also had a cat that we gave a male name to it. It was a grey one, a very lovely cat that used to observe us while we had dinner. I am wondering why... What is the craziest thing, is that it loved to eat just bread. Nothing that other cats would usually love, but this one especially waited for one or the bites of bread and it was happy. So, that cat with a male name got pregnant and brought home kittens :)) Once again, the whole neighbourhood knew the story and was a source of smiles and laughs.
When I went to study in another city, I missed my cats from home. But in a short time, I started to have one guest cat. I was not sure whose cat it was, but it came from one of the neighbours. I used to give her food and cuddles, and it was there with me when I was alone. You guess, living only with the company of one piano is not that interesting, you need to talk to somebody. Normally it was just me I was talking to, but then my new guest cat became my audience. Maybe some "meow" came back to me as an approval or disagreement about what we are going to eat. Not zucchini again!!! She loved some more delicious bites.
The life of the cats is not always so easy. The cat my parents have got fell and broke his femur when he was a kitten. It took two operations to put the bars in his leg well, and later, one intervention to remove them. To help him survive the trauma, he was pampered and became very spoiled. He is like another child in the family... but I don't remember I was allowed to be that spoiled!!
Now, the reality is that I don't have a cat. My only hope is to meet some on the streets when I am out and cuddle them. It is not always achievable, as some of the cats are more afraid or just don't like attention. There is also a special kind of cat, which ignores everything around it. It ignores even me, the cat tamer. Let me present you the cat from the neighbourhood. It doesn't live in the same building as I do but in the same street. You can see, no cuddles and love can be shared on this occasion! I will have to search better for some cats that are not this presumptuous.
While I am searching for having guest cats from the neighbourhood that like cuddles, maybe you have some stories about your cats to tell us? I know that @ludmila.kyriakou would have one interesting story to share if decides to make a post on the topic! Training the cats is a special category!

I once had a cat that ate only thuna and/or oatmeal... wouldn't touch any cat food or meats but loved to eat soggy oatmeal?!? heh!
An nowadays, just like you, I am always looking to befriend and cuddle stranger cats I meet on my walks... can't wait to be in a situation to offer shelter to a feline friend again myself eventually...

Aww I could not let this wonderful story pass me by since I am a faithful follower of kittens, your story has moved me because now I do not have cats but I have had throughout my childhood and adulthood, there was one that stole my heart and is no longer here, and even now I still remember him and writing this my eyes shine, he was a little wild and not very accepted, he came home and he chose me.
He was a gray cat with thick cheeks and very big, physically he was beautiful and I think he knew it because he was very cocky, in the end he didn't want to be tamed and he would go and come back when I called him, he loved the kitchen window and at lunch time he liked to touch my legs to get a bite. It happens to me now that I can only see cats in the street with the interest of always giving them affection (if they want it, laughs). How familiar is what you described, when lunchtime, touching the leg to get something to eat :D And not just when they want some food. The cat of my niece sometimes sleeps inside, when it is cold in winter. So when he wants to go out or is bored already, he touches her face with his paw until she wakes up :)

Well, just in dreams, as I would not like to have a cat in an apartment, not because of me not liking them inside, but because of the cat. They need space and go out, discover things, being free. I am not sure if it would be happy or not, so I don't want a cat that is suffering and being kept inside. You can walk with a dog, but really, having a cat on a leash and walking it around on the streets would be a bit weird 😅

Cats and dogs can be friends, I didn't say but we always had dogs too while having cats. Especially when they grow up together 😇

Yeah the dog gets more screen time because he travels with us. I don't post about home life very often so the cat doesn't make it to the blog unfortunately

Well, I have always been scared of cats, there is an African folktale about them so I keep my distance.
The only cat I have really liked was my friend's cat but she is scared of me which is sad.
Been wanting to get a pet but I feel like it might be work on someone like me who likes to just get up and move.
I do like cats and would like to have one or more again, but I am living in an apartment. I believe cats need more space, to be able to go outside whenever they want and explore. I think that it would not be happy kept inside, so that is the reason.
And another reason is that sometimes we go away for some longer time, and who would take care of my cat if we are on a journey?
So I am happy when I see a cat on the street and can cuddle it :)))

Oh yeah, that's a pretty good reason, one reason I haven't gotten any pets as much as I want them.
Maybe I'll give cats a chance, trying to grow out of certain beliefs but it's been a gradual process.

She was not a beauty as a kitten, she was very thin and those colours nobody liked, but I did :)
