This morning I had a wonderful chit-chat with a dear friend of mine. It was beautiful to spend some time catching up on all things. As we were talking, a question was asked of me. My answer to the question was, "Because I am Lazy."
Now my friend is on a mission to spread laughter and joy worldwide. She got upset. I used the word lazy to describe myself. The more upset she got, the bigger the smile on my face was. I, too, get upset when others cut themselves down with words. It upsets me that people find it okay to see themselves in a negative light when I know them to be filled with love.
My use of the word lazy is an easy way out for me. Some could say a lazy way. I can spell the word easily when typing. I do not negatively use the term when talking about myself. My lazy ways have served me well throughout my life.
Yet, my beautiful friend made brilliant points in their argument about negative words. She was on a mission to change me. To make me talk about myself in a more positive light. We left the conversation with her searching for another word I could spell and use in place of lazy when I am typing. Yes, I do have the best friends ever!
I went off to do things, but our conversation kept playing in my head in the back of my mind. A few Google searches later, I could see where I had made a mistake. The word lazy to the rest of the world does not ever have a positive connotation. Huh. Well. Now. What to do?

Greetings fellow Hiveians! I am supposed to reintroduce myself by answering four questions, so here are my answers.
I am the happiest when I am at my sister’s house in Montana. It’s very peaceful there, and I have fond memories of my high school years in that area.
The positive trait I bring to a team is my sense of humor. I enjoy making people laugh, especially when it happens completely by accident. Let’s keep life light and fun.
I tend to understand people, especially family members. I “get” them, even if I don’t agree with what they are saying or the choices they are making. Some people on the outside looking in see this as negative, because I’m not always hounding folks to change.
My favorite positive surprise about Hive has been how supportive other writers are, and how readily others will engage in written conversation.

It is!! It's been fun with my son and daughter-in-law for the last 4 days. They have helped me SO much each day. I will sleep for 3 days after they move on to other family members on Tuesday. :D

My son and daughter in law been here since Thursday.
They helped me go through 25 years of clothes and FINALLY get rid of ALL the stuff I have that doesn't fit. I now have 20 loads? of laundry to do and folding and trying on and packing up more things to give to charity.
I am out of pain meds and can not get any until I see a Doctor on AUGUST 10th.
I just spent 2 days unable to walk after 3 full days of going through clothes and life.
My son lives in Colombia, South America. I had not seen him in 4 years. He is my only child. I miss him.
They left my house this morning to spend time with other family members. They leave to go back to their home on August 4th.
I am tired and sad and today was not the best time for me to make a contest post but it was already set in motion.
