Yeah beneficiaries should be totally flexible within any long form post to Hive. Some frontends do pre-populate them but you should always be able to override it when you want to.
I like the persistent post icon on the mobile UI, but it can get in the way when replying to threads. It should auto-hide when you are in the reply window. #feedback

As for fiat, yes that is a challenge but flipping to one of the main coins can get one to coinbase. That is a bit of a hassle though.
