Our Hive Open Mic community is a haven for creative expression and genuine connection. All are welcome. Every contributor can be proud of the fact we are building a live music movement, celebrating songs with an international audience. At a time in human history when many are lonesome and fearful, our event stands for global harmony.
Invitation
"Signs"
The theme for Hive Open Mic Week 18 is: "Signs." To enter this event, you'll express yourself creatively with a song that helps us to explore the current theme. Our weekly theme encourages us to connect in the creative space as we explore new territory together. Original songs and cover songs are welcomed. All musical forms and genres are OK.
Guidelines
- Produce - Begin your video with the words: “This is Hive Open Mic Week [1] and I am [@username],” substituting the current week and your own username, and then you'll sing your song.
- Present - Post your video on Hive, writing the story of your creative journey with the song, and tagging #openmic.
- Promote - Share your link in the comments section of Sunday's open mic invitation in order to be included in the highlights.
- Prosper - Enjoy the gifts of community through engagement, upvotes, and encouraging comments.

Man, that place looks like a paradise to me. Is that the ocean shoreline right outside that cave? Or a lake? Special place for music making for sure. Loving the way your natural surroundings find their way into the soundscape.

English: Excellent singing and playing, brother. I love the part at the 1-minute mark when you begin to pick up speed in your strumming pattern. Takes on a lot of energy as you build and build the rhythm, and then carry it through your voice. Superb!

Woo, what a wonderful melody you've discovered. It's a tune I can feel down deep, resonating. I feel the sentimental energy in your song, processing emotions, like waves passing through. Sad song, which feels natural, considering the times we live in. And still I feel there's space for aliveness, just as you're showing your colors through your subtle variations of the melody, playing in that creative space. I like it a lot.
Seems like your sound quality is better than ever, by the way, so congrats on that!
Glad to know you like it, mate. Thanks a lot. I just try to explore different melody. I found it was interesting indeed. The minor melodies is always deep in feel. Even it could be dark. If major melodies sound catchy and easy listening, the minors is going to touch the deepest space in heart.
