Tiny Steak? Or Giant Potato? 🐄 Tucson Review.

I took a run at this place for some

Homesick food porn.

Found that the only steak that is recognizably from my home state was the rib eye!

There were other dishes that would survive on a USA menu, including the ribs, salmon, and pork loin, and I will try those when the world opens back up, but I was in the mood for a cut from up north.

This brand has been open for many years here in the deep south. There was one in the Belgrano area. Now, they are opening then up all around the city. They have had about six weeks to really catch on before all such places were outlawed. If that kind of thing keeps up, this may be my last review.

The staff all spoke English

They were surely hired with that as their main talent and speak English we did.

My boys like to put one over on the tourism culture at times. Here is what we were seeing. Almost a 50/50 mix of languages on the menu.

The appetizers arrived

Trying to save room for the rest to come. One wanted ribs, the other wanted the pork loin, and I had my heart set on a rib eye steak.

The preview of my dinner is the cover photo here. The potato was almost as big as a football!

Took some photos of our surrounding.

Little did we know that our next sit down meal would be at the receiving end of a delivery bike.

This is the look of those who are being told to wait while the phoodie-photos are taken.

The only thing that got more attention were the glances toward the kitchen. It kind of reminded me of the Poderosa chain that my family frequented when I was a boy.

Still a boy, but let me clarify that I just got bigger and grew whiskers. And a couple of clones. (above)

I got a banana-rum concoction. My oldest can - but doesn't - drink.

My youngest had fun playing with the knife. And, of course, his idea of food at a steak joint is a hamburger! (below)

And so the food arrives.

Rib eye... and

Just ribs...

Everything was as good as you could imagine.

The dinner was nothing short of delicious. I am not sure that I would order a burger for myself, next time but even the fries and slaw were the best I have had.

The steak was perfect. The potato was a delight, filled with cheese and topped with chives.

The ribs were were finished in a heart beat and got rave reviews from my oldest who said they beat the ones at Frdays.

Thanks for stopping in and hearing my ramblings.

This particular place can be found one block west of the world famous Obelisco. If you are ever in the neighborhood, just get the phone number from the door and order some dinner for delivery. I think all restaurants are taking orders using @whatsapp <-- whatever that is...

Just started to miss going out to eat more as sat here writing this one. Wondering who or why anyone would start to quarantine the healthy when the sick used to be sidelined in order to stop spreading everything but AIDS. Oh well.
