Our Hive Open Mic community is a haven for creative expression and genuine connection. All are welcome. Every contributor can be proud of the fact we are building a live music movement by celebrating songs with an international audience. At a time in human history when many are lonesome and fearful, our event stands for global harmony.
“Looking Up”
This week's Hive Open Mic theme is: “Looking Up.” This is a pressure-free invitation, encouraging us to explore new territory together as artists and share a common ground as a community. Musicians always have full freedom to bring whatever music feels inspired in the moment.
How To Participate
- Produce - Introduce your video with the words: “Hive Open Mic Week [1],” presenting yourself and performing a song.
- Present - Post your video on Hive by publishing through YouTube (preferred) or another video host, tagging #openmic.
- Promote - Share your link in the comments section of Sunday's open mic invitation in order to be included in our weekly highlights.
- Prosper - Enjoy harmony with the Hive community by engaging with musicians and music fans through upvotes and uplifting comments.

Sure, thanks for asking! OK, so "looking up" could be interpreted many ways: 1. seeing things optimistically (hope); 2. seeing the birds, the sky, the sun, etc. (wonder); 3. keeping your head held high (confidence)... Here are a couple of existing songs that could work well:
Ah ok so interpreting a little what you just told me you already gave me some ideas since there are some songs that I have out there that can go well with the theme, I will study this week to catch up on that. Grateful friend :D

Oh my, I am in awe. Something about the shifting in tempo has me feeling that this form of rhythm (arhythmic?) is truer to life. Thank you.

There are parts that change in tempo and in rhythm structure, but actually arrhythmia doesn't appear in the piece. Could be the shifting of the strong beat with the week that happens in some parts that caught your attention?
Hm, I guess we hear it differently. When I listen again, I notice a lovely spacious crescendo at 4:11 that seems to change the pace. I guess you're right, though, that it's a difference of strong rapid notes to soft spacious ones, shifting in energy.
