Market Friday goes Cruising Part ll

in #marketfriday6 years ago (edited)

Today is #MarketFriday initiated by @dswigle (Denise, that's me!!) Please join me as we share different markets across this globe of ours. I always look forward to experiencing life through your eyes! It is amazing to see so many different markets and the different cultures.

I would be remiss if I didn't bring you a Part ll for the cruise ship as I didn't really cover nearly half of it. Are you ready? Life preservers packed? Let's go! If you missed Part l - you can find it here.

The first time I saw a car parked on the promenade of a ship, I couldn't believe my eyes. Why? Well, it does make a nice addition to the photo ops around and quite nice to be sure. No, I didn't. If I wasn't driving it, I wasn't faking it. To be clear, the promenade is the wide boulevard or main walkway where people stroll. It is usually the widest part of the ship, as far as boardwalks.

cars.jpg

I have been to so many new places lately! Oh! The curiosity that is attached to foreign ingredients, different produce or any product sold. So, yes! I would love to see yours! Don't forget to take photos wherever you happen to be shopping - whether it be the grocery store, the local marketplace or even an art gallery. Wherever money is exchanged for a service or for merchandise. Be different if you wish! It does not have to be a traditional market! We will love it! I promise you! Don't forget to use the hashtag #MarketFriday and @dswigle.

But first, a flower. Always a flower.

The loveliness of you never escapes me
May I gaze upon you, always and a day?

There are cooking classes. You can learn to make sushi, decorate cakes and many other delectable delicacies. If you are lucky, you get selected from the audience and get an up close and personal demonstration.

But, then again...

Sometimes everyone is part of the class. It depends on what they are doing, such as sushi! Everyone gets to make their own roll!

Please leave the link to your post on here so it can easily be found by others. They will all be in one place. Where else can you take such a quick trip around the globe? Thank you! ❤

Last time I counted, there were five pools on this ship, plus the kiddie pool. That is a lot of pool. Now granted, they don't make them too big, but nice enough that you can have an enjoyable time without too much suffering.

Nobody is allowed to suffer here.

The North Star

The Quantum-class ships have what is referred to as "The North Star" which is a glass-enclosed little pod that holds people and would remind you of a small London Eye. The picture of the pool was taken from the North Star. It really gives you quite the view.

And, yes! I have gotten stuck up there, for about ten minutes on two separate occasions. Yikes! Third time is the charm, right??

This is Horseshoe Beach, one of the many islands that litter the Caribbean, just waiting to burn you!

Another private space, where you and your loved one can go to sit and talk.

It's also great for a little people watching!

And here!

The food is glorious and the portions are generous. If they have two entrees and you can't make up your mind, they encourage you to order two.

20180421_183537.jpg

They will not let you leave hungry or unsatisfied. Satisfaction is guaranteed!

Your chefs and wait staff are the best. Five Star ***** best!

There is roller skating, ice skating bumper cars, a casino to name a few things. There is also Broadway plays and opera. There is entertainment every night

You will not be disappointed!

There is a full-size Merry-Go-Round in Central Park. This ship has actual neighborhoods. They even have Coney Island and a hot dog stand.

Seriously!! Who knew? It is like a floating city!

IMG_2979.JPG

Geodes suspended from the ceiling. Simply delightful!

IMG_8289.JPG

The poolside movies shown every night is a favorite of many. It's late and it is time to relax and enjoy a movie while you swim or while you sit in the beach chairs. A nice way to end the evening.

20180419_193642.jpg

There is a turn-down every night and there is a special little "something" left for you. It is never the same, usually something different and quite delightful!

IMG_8322.JPG

Thank you for stopping by #MarketFriday! I appreciate your time and effort to help make this challenge a success. It is with thanks that I end this post. Have a most wonderful Friday! The weekend is almost upon us!

Another night in paradise, as the sun reaches down and kisses the earth goodnight.

As many times as I have seen pics of the ships, they never fail to impress!! I am sold, I really want to go. If I ever hit the lottery, I will get on a cruise someday!

@old-guy-photos Seriously old man! If you wait until you win the lottery, you may never go! You and your Charlie Brown luck should not be winning the lottery, but then again, when you think about it, you are exactly the person that will win the lottery. If and when you do, I expect to see you sailing the high seas. I know that you have said this before but I do think that you were made for cruising.

Let's be honest here for a minute. Can you think of anybody you know or want to know that isn't made for cruising? What is there not to love? Let me see for a moment. They bring you breakfast and you can have it in bed if you want. You get up, shower and leave your room to start your day and they are behind you making your bed cleaning your bathroom and vacuuming everything to freshen up your room. So you go off and enjoy your day, eating and drinking and eating and drinking and eating more, because everybody knows that they feed you non-stop on a cruise. It's up to you to pull the plug on that when you're done. I don't think I've ever seen so much food in my entire life. And the thing about it is, it's all delicious. How can they do that to me? Don't they know I have no willpower? Sometimes life is so unfair, isn't it?

I forgot where I was going with this... But to make a long story short, I am sure that when you finally get to go cruising, that you will be addicted and you'll continue to cruise for the rest of your life. I don't know about you, but when I get old and decrepit, I think I'm going to live on a cruise ship instead of a rest home. I'm only kidding, but you know as well as I do that there are actually people that do that. They go from cruise ship to cruise ship enjoying different itineraries and different people. I guess if you don't have any family, I can't think of a more awesome way of spending time than to spend it with interesting people.

Thank you so much for always and forever putting together an awesome Market Friday for me and for making sure that you visit mine

Finally I got mine in!!! Not as nice and pretty as many of them, but it was my day today and I love to share in your MF tag!

https://steemit.com/marketfriday/@old-guy-photos/dropping-da-benjamins

Thank you! I love to get your posts!! You know I do! :)

Well if i wasn't convinced before you have certainly convince me now that's like Las Vegas all put together on a ship and all in walking distance will be seeing you on the next cruise ....hehe :)

Buffalo Chicken Eggs i live in Thailand and have never seen a Buffalo lay a egg confusing.... to funny :)

https://steemit.com/marketfriday/@hangin/marketfriday-initiated-by-dswigle-china-town-bangkok-thailand-seafood-and-dry-seafood-vendors-part-3-74751d4672569est

DSC06068.JPG

Come on now! You can't tell me that your chickens don't have buffalo chicken eggs? I'm only kidding of course. I think what they're supposed to mean is that it's hot because anything over here that is done buffalo style means that it's hot. You see, I have trouble with that also because I am not sure what Buffalo has to do with hot, but it is calling you so over here and so I go with it.

I guess I can't believe you have never been on a cruise because you are such a fun loving guy but it never occurred to me that you wouldn't have gone. It is definitely Las Vegas styled in some aspects and then again parts of it are like being in a high-end Resort Spa. Of course there are different ships for different people and different likes. Someday when I have some time off I would like to do a cruise around the world and one of the Yachts that they have that cater to only three or four hundred people at a time. That's really where it's at, but I don't think I'm ready for that circuit yet.

Thank you as always for pushing for a perfectly wonderful Market Friday. I always appreciate you

What do you expect it's America the amazing weird country...no meaning or connection at all just America big noting itself again.....haha...lol :)))))

Ohhhhh... fun loving guy......your to sweet ...no really i do need to get on a cruise one day and i will do it to have the experience and to say i did it :)

Have a great week my friend !!

This trip is a paradise, a wonderful holiday in the midst of so many amazing things and views.
I think you're charging the batteries in the right place.

Ah, this car, I love old cars.

Wonderful photos

Greetings :)

Absolute heaven, that's what this trip was. I don't see how anybody could have a bad time, but there are people who don't enjoy cruising so like I say, it's not for everybody but it is for this somebody.

You are totally right when you save in my batteries are charged because they surely do feel so much better. Thank you for dropping by market Friday and as usual I always appreciate when you do. You and your husband are the nicest people.

Some of the people are really stinky :) It doesn't matter where they are, they are always unhappy.

I hope that one day they will see more then being angry for the whole world.

Thank you for your very kind words

I feel really bless to know you :)

Enjoy your day like always :)

XOXO Love to you, my friend.

Hello Beautiful
What a beautiful market.
I'm the ugly car and that horse that seems to need love hehe
Here I leave mine
I do not forget you
Happy market

Sweet colorful

Never! Never, I tell you. You are my beautiful friends are always have been. I am so happy that you enjoyed the market and I just love putting it together, hoping that it will be enjoyed by many.

I am always super happy to see a post in Market Friday from you! You always have a way of making it special and sending my way something that is very indicative of Spain. Your markets are always enviable and makes me want to visit there.

I am so late this week with so much going on but today I am making a point of visiting everybody's markets. Thank you so much for taking the time and putting the effort into showing off your Market Friday.

Love to you my beautiful friend.

Besos! 💖💕

how not
I love it and you know it.
It makes me laugh and wish. I know people from all over the world
i love you

yo también te amo XOXO

Wow! Stunning photography, Denise! Looks like a wonderful cruise, what fun! resteemed :)

Thank you so much Keith! You are far too kind if you are calling my photography stunning! Although I have to admit, there are days that I'm desperate for a good comment or at least a nice comment. The cruise was absolutely wonderful, as they usually are but admittedly, I still like destination holidays.

Some of my best times are in places that I rented for 2 weeks to a month at a time, but when the job would not stop calling for the entire time, I started cruising with no internet. If I'm on holiday, I don't need to be bothered. It's work, it is a father. I was so excited to see you get back and now that you are my time has been so limited I haven't been able to get over to your place, but I do because I hate when I miss your hilarious stories.

Thank you truly for the resteem and upvote!

I really like your photos. They are well composed, bright & colourful, and the overall image quality is very high. I know what you mean about being bothered by work while on vacation. I remember being in Charleston on vacation and some emergency came up at work and I had to connect to the network... of course, I had forgotten the power adapter for my Dell notebook so I had to drive all over town on a Sunday morning trying to find a Dell power adapter. Found one too! What a pain.

I don't think you've missed much on my page, I've had trouble getting started again.

Oh, my God! Yes!!! That!! Except it is always until the end of vacation. Everything is a crisis, you know? Hello? I need my life back.

I discovered it on cruising five years ago. I have never turned back since.

The pictures are taken with my Samsung S7, and two different Canons. I was playing mix and match on the shots. The phone is just a necessity on the beach, especially in the waves.

Work and Holiday don't mix. I'd like to call one of the bosses on their holiday and ... well... nevermind. :)

Oh, as soon as I finish this #MarketFriday, I'll be over, Post something asap!

From one cruise lover to another.......these images are soooooo awesome @dswigle. How can one not LOVE cruising? I need to go and read your last post about this trip because I don't want to miss any detail. Thank you for making yearn for my next cruise .......very prematurely, but very strong, never the less. (U & R )

I've missed the last few Market Friday's but am happy to have a post organized for this week. Here is the link

Oh it's so lovely to speak from one Cruiser to another. There is just something so peaceful and carefree about Cruisin and I truly believe I was born for it. LOL don't we all?

I'm always so Torn Between the big ships in the small ships because both offer to very wonderful and distinctly different kinds of cruising. The small ones offer peaceful little corners to read in and quiet dinners and I would say mostly people on the older side. The bigger ships offer more wow and more opulence and different experiences, although I did not say that the small ones offer opulence they do, in a much more genteel Way. So sometimes it's hard when you are booking ahead to figure out which one is best for you at that time, but I can honestly say that I've never been on a bad Cruise. What's not to love?

I'm not sure if anybody has ever taken care of me so well. LOL thank you for taking the time to put together a market Friday. It is always a pleasure to see you.

I understand exactly what you are saying Denise. It's good to do the comparisons between the ships and we are inclined to stick to the ones we have enjoyed previously. Unfortunately we have to take a flight to Sydney from Brisbane as the port does not cater for the larger ships and this adds to the cost of the cruise .

The only challenges we have faced is having our destinations diverted due to cyclones, but I'd rather that, than the captain take a risk with his crew and passengers.

But I love flying as well, so it's not too much of a hardship (pardon the pun) to enjoy a two hour flight to get us to Sydney from here. We haven't got our next cruise booked but John is always on the lookout for good deals and sails away regularly vicariously through others in between our own cruise. (lol)

It was , as always is, a pleasure to do a Market Friday post. My contribution has been rather intermittent of late but will endeavour to participate when time permits. Hope you are well and enjoying life my friend.

I see that you are having a great time and that's what it's all about. Life is so beautiful.

A great post to my friend.

I will come back soon. I upvote and resteem :)

Just like all the vacations that you and Margaret go on, there is no way that you could have a bad time when you are on a cruise ship. Life is Beautiful when you are on holiday. Sometimes, it's not even so much where you are, but you're with and the experiences that you are having. I have been to third world countries that I have met the most incredible people, making my journey there even more special. People make the world go round and in all honesty, they are the best part of traveling.

Thank you so much for visiting my market Friday and I just want to send out my things for the wonderful post that you share with all of us. I hope you are having a wonderful time wherever you are and whatever you're doing. I know it's interesting and also and I'm so glad that you bring it our way.

The people we meet infect us with energy and positive thinking, so our trips are the more exquisite and we like to detach ourselves from everyday life very much.

Thank you my friend.

I am truly happy for you :))))

WHEW

Enjoyed looking at all your vacationy cruising things..... something like being in a fantasy. Hard to imagine it existing..... like fairytales.... it's hard to fathom it being real.

It is part of a fairytale most times. It's not real life, or how real life is for me, but it is something that I think I could truly get used to. I was made for cruising. Honestly.

Is that some of the biggest surprises are the tiny things that you don't expect and you almost missed the first time around. It's the little tiny touches that really make my day. Making my bed, and then at the end of the day, a turn down with chocolate covered strawberries on a little dish just for you. Some Nights, there's a couple brownies and milk in the fridge. It's always fresh leaf vacuum and it wasn't done by me.

One night I couldn't decide what to have for dinner of the entrees that they offered, so brought me two entrees so I could have a little bit of both. Oh my God, who does that? Suffice to say, it is a wonderful experience and I am very grateful to have it.

Thank you for visiting my market Friday and for putting out one of your own. I know that I am slow and getting to them, but I do like to take my time going through them and enjoying them instead of racing through them just to get them done. So bear with me while I go through them and just know that I will be there. Thank you so much.

Sighhhhh... makes me want to go on one of those cruises.... So much to do, so little time.... Thank you for sharing your holiday with us - makes us feel on holiday too!! Even if just for some minutes... :)
Cheers and have a great week ahead!!

Aren't they the most fun? I do like going on them and it makes for a most enjoyable holiday. It's nice when you can just walkabout and have everything taken care of for you. When everything is included and they treat you like a queen, what's not to love? I'm saying right along with you right now because my time is over and is back to reality, which is in a really bad thing except that I believe I was made for vacation. LOL I find myself love being treated like that. There's nothing wrong with that!

Thank you for visiting Market Friday, you are always a pleasure to have.

Hahaha - "made for vacation!" - oooohhhh, I love that! Exactly - what's not to love, lol....
And what's better than being on vacation? ;) ...is being on vacation with great friends! :D

Really pleasant places to visit. Carousel and food pictures are my favorites.

Greetings from Indonesia, @dswigle

Thank you so much for visiting work at Friday! It's always a pleasure to have new people dropping in and seeing what we are all about.

I love it... "Nobody is allowed to suffer here." Wow, go ahead...here...take my money. I'll pay for that! ;) And of course, I will happily pay for geodes hanging from the ceiling :) How cool! I got a little personal and nostalgic with my own Market this Friday.
https://steemit.com/marketfriday/@denisechips/market-friday-gets-personal-stuff-you-sell-when-you-move-and-may-end-up-missing-later
fighters.jpg

It's true! Nobody is allowed to suffer that way. LOL I'm sure the humor was not lost on you. Don't you just love those geodes hanging from the ceiling? I mean who wouldn't? There are so many cool little touches to these cruise ships, I have to go through them again and again to catch all the little tiny things that are overlooked. For instance, every single elevator has a animated animal in them. They're painted on the wall. The one that made me laugh the hardest was the giraffe in high heels and a pretty little hat on her head. I have pictures of them, but of course I didn't post them. Here they are on every single elevator and I forgot. There are so many little touches that you don't want to bore anybody to death so you don't post everything. You have to be selective. Another thing that tickled me pink was that every elevator has a doormat on it. They change it daily to reflect whether it's Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday because people have a way of losing track when they don't go to work. Just small things that are meaningless in it and of itself but make the atmosphere.

Thank you so much, Denise, for visiting Market Friday and participating in bringing to my door step such cool things. I will be over shortly to check you out and as you can tell I am running late yet again, but I would rather enjoy each and every post and take my time then to race through them just to get them done.

Ok, I need a door mat to tell me the day...even when I am not on vacation ;) And why not also have a giraffe in high heels & a hat in my life as well?! Sounds enchanting! I am past due for a cruise. I've been on a few while single, but @joechiappetta isn't a fan of ocean cruises since he says, "I saw the Titanic movie & I know how it ends." However, he has agreed that one day he may join me on a riverboat cruise. I guess he figures there are no icebergs in the Mississippi River ;)

Better hurry before Global Warming sets in.

Thanks for the presentation! What I see here seems from another world ... a perfect world made for pleasure. When I saw the flower I wanted to stop and not go any further ... I do not think it can be anything more beautiful!
A question: do you have to pay for food or is everything included in the cruise price?
My little holiday market: My Market on the Seaside

The presentation is always my pleasure. I hope you enjoyed it as I really enjoyed putting it all together. I see that you do not feel like it is something that you would like to do but the only thing I can say with that is that it is not for everybody but, it can be a nice way to spend some time and there are different levels of opulence. Some of the ships are very opulent and many lights and small touches. Some of them are more utilitarian but very nice and the service is good, so I think that there is something that fits everybody. But of course, one would have to like the water and I think I was a mermaid in another life. I love the water. I love the smell of salt water. I love anything Seafood. So, this fits my lifestyle.

I was not meaning to make this into a post that would be for or against that kind of Lifestyle over cruising, but mainly to share experiences or markets. I was hoping that this would come across that way. Purely for enjoyment.

As for your question about food, everything that I have shown you is inclusive or included in the price. All of the entertainment is free and and Northstar and the iFly and the shows. The things that are not free are usually like alcohol, although many times free alcohol is served at events. They have a high-end Spa where those things are not free including massages, facials and things like that. Their gym is free. They have things like acupuncture which is not free. They do have classes on Fitness and cooking classes and lots of lectures and those are free. So for the most part everything is included but there are few things that are extra. It is a rare occasion that I pay for the extras because frankly there is enough to do that is free. I hope this answers your question. Oh, by the way they do have a couple restaurants that do cost money but it is never necessary to eat it them and most people use them as a special occasion, but to be honest with you the dining room has amazing food so I don't bother.

Again for visiting Market Friday and I sure do appreciate seeing you here.

Wo, what a complete answer! I'm not against opulence, wealth, and brilliance. I understand what a cruise is ... is like an all inclusive resort, maybe much more, but a moving one. Almost all time on the ocean.
The most important thing is to be able to do what you like ... and I see you like it and I really love it for it.

The presentation is perfect and that's why we are here ... to show each other our experiences, the joys and even the sadness. Of course we are very different ... to take these differences because of the new external factors. Education, material status, age, where we live ... then: desires, culture ... there are dozens of things that make us different. That's why I appreciate Steemit, as a place to know better about people, places and lifestyles from which many of us will not be able to reach. Posts in #MarketFriday help with this.
Thanks for everything and be sure I will never see in what you post other than what you wanted to look like. Maybe sometimes I don't understand the meaning of the writing but I know you, nothing can be wrong!

Well yes, the written word is kind of cruel that way. When you're in a hurry many times it says things that you don't want it to say or that you want don't want to portray. I try to be careful and how I say things but sometimes I come off sounding not like I want. But, you are a good sport and I love the fact that you keep me straight. Lol have a most wonderful day, Dan and as always I look forward to your words.

I probably said something wrong. You write very nice and fair. You do not have to worry, and I'm the last one to judge ...

Not at all! You are always kind to me. :)

Thank you!

I miss this moment so much. It is another beautiful weekend to share a great market. Keep cruising with us on the trail of #marketfriday dear.

https://steemit.com/marketfriday/@mcsamm/market-friday-goes-street

Sam!! Thank you so much! I really appreciate you always and forever being part of Market Friday and I really and in all over how many people you have introduced to it. Thank you so much!

Go Ghana!

Thank you for being here for me, so I can be here for you.
Enjoy your day and stay creative!
Botty loves you. <3

Thank you!

What a lovely trip! I'm going with you next time :D

Well of course you can darling! I look forward to the day where you want to travel with me. It was a most lovely trip this time around and I cannot even begin to tell you how good it feels to just let them do the driving and all the arranging of everything. Lol this has made me lazy about these things, I'm okay with that for now.

So pack up your stuff and get ready. I'll pick you up on my next trip over there.

Thank you for accepting me, I promise I would behave 😀

Oh, if you behave, then you will have to stay home!!!

just kidding! LOL

Oooops 😂🤣

Woman, you sure know how to have fun!

Seriously you had to have going on a cruise already right? Don't forget that Old San Juan has some pretty good chips for a very good price going out of there. I have flown down there to pick up a cruise because they are very reasonable.

Thank you so much for coming to visit and know that I enjoy your company tremendously.

I've been thinking in taking one, there are ones at good prices like you said. I think I will treat myself with one, why not?! Love ya! 😘

Oh my God, you're just trying to make me jealous aren't you? I actually love to take it from Puerto Rico because it's a cheap flight to fly down there to San Juan from Washington DC and I can save a lot of money but doing that plus the itineraries are pretty good from there. I hope you go and when you do you think of me. Love you too!

Upvoted and RSD because I love going on cruises with you Denise, (even if it's only visually), and I fully intended to post for Market Friday but "that ship sailed!" (get it?!)
That silver thingamajig looks like a tool a dentist or mechanic might use. Interesting how much cruise ships have evolved over the past decades. There definitely is something for everyone to do!!! @dswigle

Oh my gosh I can only imagine the two of us going on a cruise together. I'm not sure if they have a Brig or not, but I have a feeling that they would be using it. Actually, I am not at all like that on a cruise. I am quiet and demure oh, well you know, sort of. As much as one can be. Thank you for stopping by and for steaming and voting my post.

You are always a delight to see on Market Friday

Looks like paradise. I love the little shelf they put around the pool so you can rest in the water but not be floating around bumping into other people.

Those little shelves are the most awesome things when you want to keep cool but you don't want to get into the pool. I don't mind getting into the pool but there are times where I just don't want to be swimming around and this is the perfect fix for that. Whoever thought that one up was brilliant.

Thanks for stopping by my market Friday and as usual it is always great to see you.

The view from that upper deck is breathtakingly high. Imagine swan diving into that pool? lol
The food looks very expensive and amazing. My post is from the opposite end of the spectrum. The budget food market . :-)
https://busy.org/@molometer/marketfriday-comes-to-chatteris
https://ipfs.busy.org/ipfs/QmarxRW5mpZ5n8sr3nuD6bpV9oyyEU7D25uSpt4kfkujic

It does seem a little bit high for that kind of fun! I will admit right up front the never even occurred to me that I would want to Swan Dive from that level and I was a high diver when I was younger. Okay much younger. Okay not that young but younger than I am now. Have we nailed that down now?

The food is always amazing and it is included in the price of your sailing. So that is why I always feel like a princess when I am sailing. Not only is the food good but they treat me like royalty, which is necessary for me but some people feel like they earned it by paying the passage.

For the most part I find them to be wonderful experiences and I was born to cruise. As an aside, that view of the pool was from the North Star. I love that thing right up until I got stuck in it for 15 minutes hanging up in the air. Actually it wasn't all that bad, except for the claustrophobic woman standing next to me!

Thank you for taking the time and energy to put together a market Friday post. It is much appreciated, even if I am slow to get to them all

Were you in an elevator or something?

Actually, I was in the North Star, that pod that goes up in the air (pictured in the blog) I got a good view from there! :)

Im getting s clue of what im missing .. thaaank you😂😜
Im alive👍🏻
Happy to watch it, thanks🐲🐉😀💗

You do make cruise ships sound lovely! I just don't think I could do it, by the end of the first day I would be feeling like a hostage. We spent two weeks in Hawaii and I had island fever before it was over lol!

I think the redeeming thing is that they move from place to place and one day you are in Rome and the next you may be in Spain... and I do know what you mean about islands because I get rock happy after a while on islands. :)

Lol! You make me REALLY want to get my boat on the water, I can tell you that! I can't take it to Rome or Spain but I could get to the Caribbean and the Bahamas!

It doesn't matter where it goes, as long as it is moving around. (I like the Caribbean, but, lately, the crime in the Bahamas gets a thumb down) But, hey! Pick me up and I know we could have a great time!

Woo-hoo!

wow !!!!! Denise, I did not know that there are alleys on the ship too !!! I'm just amazed by the beauty of the interior !! it really is a whole city !!!! were you in that capsule upstairs? !!!!! I would never have dared. so much entertainment on the ship !! I would always bathe and then watch as they teach cooking. it's good for me to travel with you on this ship , so I do not have seasickness :)))) https://steemit.com/marketfriday/@tali72/marketfriday-fair-in-baden-baden-77a7e835cb8ec

Is that amazing that there's alleys on the ships? It truly is just like a town. I actually did go up in the little capsule and it was quite amazing actually. My biggest fear was that it would be shaking while I was going up a lift it off perfectly and swallowing its arm over the ocean and we get to see quite a Butte from there. It was probably about 15 to 20 minute ride and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I am pretty sure that I could get you enjoying yourself on the cruise and I can guarantee you that the ship does not rock and you probably would never even notice that you are sailing. Except that it's amazing and wonderful and you would want to remember that moment every single day. I will gladly accompany you on the ship. I think that we would have a lot of fun and would make lasting memories. Thank you and thank you and thank you for always putting forth a awesome Market Friday and for coming to visit us and showing us some love.

Upped and steemed

There really are! Can you believe that? They are almost like streets on some ships. Nice and wide. I really didn't post most of the pretty ones, it is simply breathtaking at night (especially) The capsule isn't as scary as it looks and the views of the ship (and beyond are so worth it! :)

There is a lot of entertainment on the ship and I didn't even get to cover it all. I love the cooking demonstrations and classes. I have learned so much from them.

Yes!! I will go with you! That would be so much fun!! No seasickness! I never see anyone get sick really! You cannot feel the ship!

Aahh.. my post is 12 minutes old than this one @dswigle 😉 what a lovely journey and amazing photos I see here. Well, I feel a bit shame with my crappy post now 😊 but please check it out, here is the link market in front of my gate

Thank you and enjoy your cruise👍

Thank you so much for joining the #MarketFriday challenge this week! There is no shame in your wonderful post! I loved it and it is exactly what you will be seeing in most of our posts!

That is the joy of sharing our cultures. I have always been very grateful for the time spent putting together a #MarketFriday post. It takes time and I realize it.

Welcome, and I hope you get a chance to read others that drop their links also! Thank you so much for dropping YOUR link! I hope you have a wonderful evening!

Steem on!

I love your encouraging words @dswigle, Last time I read some marketfriday post, I think I need to go to the mall and took some snaps ant share it with the others, but what so special about a big mall, unless you entered to one of the good shop there, which I never done before. I love strolling on the small alley of the traditional market to enjoy the atmosphere, but I seldom find time to do that since I've been away from my hometown, so... I watch the vegetables seller who always around my resindential compound and really like what they provide for the customers.

I'll get around the #marketfriday and enjoy other posts too.. Thanks a bunch!

You are welcome and thank you for showing off your local market! They are awesome and I love my own local market (sometimes the farm up the street from me) has eggs and milk... the best!

I think we do a good job when we do what is natural for us. Do not go to the mall if that is not you. What we aim for is genuine and that is why I love your post!

Have a great day!

Oh my goodness. I don't think I could manage a trip with all those people. Just looking at those lined up sunbeds makes me want to run for my cabin @dswigle. 😂

I like the "The North Star". Maybe I could retreat up there. How do you get to go up? Do you have to book or stand in a queue?

I like the idea of an evening film by the pool. As long as it wasn't too crowded. 😂

The deserted beach looks glorious!

Thanks for another insight into life aboard a big cruise ship.

I don't like crowds in particular, but, these ships never seem too crowded although, I have retreated to my cabin a few times. :)

The North Star is very cool. You can book it or wait in the queue. I usually wait, it is never very long and then I can do it whenever I feel like it. I love the view! The film at night is one of my favorite times. Not crowded, surprisingly, but, it is late.

The beach was totally mine! I like it like that! Thank you for dropping by, Gillian! You are the best! xoxo

Sounds like we have similar tastes then @dswigle. 😍

That is the highest compliment you can pay me @gillianpearce! :)

thanks for taking me on the cruise without having to leave home, so much on these ships it is incredible

I did wonder how you got the pool shot so thanks for sharing that

here is my Market Friday post for this week

https://steemit.com/marketfriday/@tattoodjay/tgif-its-friday-and-that-means-its-market-friday-post-time

Well, even though it's a little bit cheating, I think they're virtually is probably the best way to go, especially on your pocket! I have to admit that there are a lot of people that do not like cruising because they don't like to be out in the water bobbing about. But, I think that it is something that they can get over. I know that my mom did. Even though my dad had a boat and we all went on the ocean all the time, my mom never did. She was petrified of being out in the water because she couldn't swim. Although I'm sure that that has nothing to do with anything when you are 200 miles away from Shore and have no way of swimming all the way back.

Anyway, I long story short, my mom actually went on a cruise with me about 5 years ago. It was my first cruise and her first cruise. So, I'm not sure if she forgot she didn't like cruising or the water or what, but after that she was hooked. So I have to say that I think that there is a chance for everybody. I mean that people do change their minds once they find out that it feels just like walking down the street most days. Thank you for visiting my market Friday and as always, it's a joy to see you here.

its always a pleasure to visit, I would happily do a cruise sometime but I doubt I would ever be able to convince Lulu to go on one even if she was feeling Healthy, due to a couple of scares when she was young she has a real fear of being out on the water

Awwww, that is too bad that she had those bad experiences.

woow. very good post :)
<3

Thank you so much! I appreciate the visit!

Thank you so much for the entry! I appreciate the visit to #MarketFriday!

Much Love!!! :)

Look at you!! You have totally blown me away because it every single time you leave the sweetest comments behind. I'm at a loss for words of time because they are so nice and so kind and so sweet.

I love my flowers it's so easy to see that you love yours too. The one thing that we both love is nature and I am brace it and love it every single day. There is a certain magic in the sky and Sunset and I must say that I feel like I never get disappointed.

So thank you truly. It's always a pleasure to see you and I hope you have a most enjoyable weekend.

Enjoyed this second part of the cruising life too totally five star and beyond :D

Thank you so much! I felt like I hadn't quite finished it off last week, but, now I feel a little bit better!

All the pictures are awesome specially 1st photograph royal car...
Amazing friend..

Thank you so much! I really love that car too!

These pictures are really amazing.

Thank you so much for dropping by!

You almost convinced me that taking a cruise would not be as horrible as I imagine it to be! Great photos!

I thought just like you

I tend to think of cruises as a glorified cattle car. Not my thing, but the food sounds good!

Yes, agree with you!

Sorry, @bluemoon! I had no idea!

I'm not sure I have expressed correctly ... I will not go on cruising for many reasons but not because it would not be nice and relaxing. Different phobias, specific to each, can influence choice.

I need to slow down and read better what is being said. It's not and what you said, it's what I read instead. You have said it perfectly and I misunderstood it perfectly. Good Monday morning to you!

I actually thought the same, but, found that I was totally wrong. I like the smaller ships, almost Yachts as apposed to larger vessels because it is very quiet with very few people.

I also realize that this life isn't for everyone, hence different modes of vacation are offered. I actually prefer to go to a destination, but, at this time, it is easier for me to disappear without a phone number for work purposes and the like. When I totally leave there, I will no longer have that need. In the meantime, (well, for the last five years) it is the only thing that I have found works.

It's not horrible, @melind010100 but actually, a great way for the family to spend quality time together when they get old enough to want to wander off in a different direction. I am actually going to take my family in February and I look forward to two weeks of being with them doing things that I wouldn't not normally do in places I had no idea I would ever visit.

Tradeoffs for sure, but, I am looking forward to it. :)

Thanks for stopping by. :) You too, Dan! @bluemoon

I would not enjoy being surrounded by all the glitz and glamor... I'm a 'cabin in the north woods with a lawn chair on the dock' person, for sure. I am so glad you found that it works well for you! Hope your family loves it, too!

Fair enough! ;) We used to do the cabin in the woods growing up and I liked that too. We are New England fishing folk that grew up on the water.

We will see how well it goes over. We have all done it individually, but, not together, so it should be awesome. Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous weekend! :)

Thank you so much @manuel78!

howdy doo :-) i tried to be sneaky but it would seem i wasnt waves with food from ya fridge in hand Lol

You better run faster!!!! :)
