2021 Mexico Silver Libertad

Mexican Libertad Coins are unique among bullion coin collections for a number of reasons, but one of the most obvious is a lack of a noted face value on the coins. Like the South African Krugerrand Coins, the Mexican Libertad Coins are considered legal tender by the issuing nation, but the Libertad boasts a floating face value based on the price of silver per ounce on a given day. This is the opposite of coins such as the American Eagle, Canadian Maple Leaf, British Britannia, and Chinese Panda collections.

The obverse of the 2021 1 oz Mexican Silver Libertad Coins features the statue of Winged Victory. The image of Victory is based on the Roman and Greek goddess known as Nike or Victoria. A figure worshipped by victorious generals, Victory was adopted in Mexican culture after the nations victory over Spain in its war of independence. She is featured on the obverse of the coins along with the mountain peaks of Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl in the background

On the reverse side of 2021 Mexican Silver Libertad Coins is the national coat of arms. The Mexican coat of arms featured here is the modern symbol with a Mexican golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus as it attempts to devour a rattlesnake. The border design field includes 10 historic versions of the same seal.

2021 1 oz Mexican Silver Libertad Coin (BU)

This is the 39th release of the Mexican Silver Libertad and contains 1 troy oz of .999 pure silver in BU condition. It was first issued in 1982 from the Mexican Mint. Known today as La Casa de Moneda de Mexico, Mexico's National Mint is one of North America's oldest minting facilities. Prior to the Libertad, the Mexican Onza had a coinage screw press at the center on the reverse and the historical national coat of arms with the legend above and a spray of oak and laurel on the obverse.

Gosh... and I liked their rounds and bars!!!

September 27, 1821 I believe is the official accepted date of Mexican Independence after years of prolonged conflict with enormous causalities.
So I figure the Mexico City Mint would be soon putting something special out after 200 years. Are you ready for it Sis?

Siempre con amor, 🤗🌺💖

Hehehe, I don't buy foreign commemoratives unless they are inexpensive 😜.
So it depends on the price,😆 hahaha!
If it depicts a ship, I might consider it😍!

Hugs and Kisses sis 🥰🌺🤙!!!

how are you dear friend @silversaver888 good afternoon
I appreciate very much that you challenge us to know your beautiful collection and the history of each coin.
I take this opportunity to wish you a splendid afternoon

Thank you for appreciating the article👍😀.
Have a wonderful evening, @jlufer😄 !

I am hoping that some day soon I will walk into the coin shop and find this coin. I am on the hunt!

Here's wishing you luck in your hunt, @handofzara 👍😀😍

The Libertad always has a place in my stack @silversaver888!😊
I think the new design is starting to grow on me Lol!🤣😇😊

I don't stack it. I thought I would continue that different sizes which I did for four years. You know what I stack... US Constitutional silver, ASE and fractional gold. I only buy one or two of each year design of the silver coins, @silvertop 👍😀

You are stacking a very diversified selection of very popular Silver and Gold @silversaver888, I think you are making very good choices in coins and bullion my friend!🤗

YAY!!!
That's reassuring, @silvetop 👍😀

I think we both are @silversaver888!!!😇😀🤗

Another nice piece of shiny for your stack sis! Thanks for sharing!🤗💕😘🌸

I think I will revive collecting the 1982. But it is so expensive!!!

Hugs and Kisses sis 🥰🌺🤙!!

One piece at a time! That works for a lot of things as well. We built our solar arrays 'one panel at a time'. Now we have a 6.3 KW solar array system built with over 50 panels. Quite an amazing thing when you think it all started with one that was given to us............Take care sis!🤗😘💕🌸

It's the wrong time to stack silver, lol, especially older, higher-priced items!!
You just don't know the amount of willpower I have to exert... hahaha!
Okay, maybe once in a while!😍😆😜

😎👍💕🤗

I like that coin. Libertad is on my "must have" list 🤣

Libertads are beautiful.
They sell it for a premium though.
At any rate, I buy only one, lol!

This is the question... To buy one Libertad or two Kangaroos...
But I would like to own one in my collection. I think, you understand 🤣

When Libertads comes along, I buy it immediately. Who knows when it will available, hehehe. The Kangaroos you can buy anytime!
But I know what you mean, @tazi!

Looks great in any year, but cool to see a fresh one 😎👍👍

Yes! I don't understand the very high premiums. It is a bullion coin.
They release it at the end of the year (earlier this time) and they don't the 1 oz fast enough.
Oh well, it's a hype-up coin!
CHEERS @thedamus 🥂
