Want to win 1000 SP of delegated power ? Tell me why!

in #curation7 years ago

I'm looking for more good causes and curators to support by delegating a portion of my power.

I consider this as another investment in the long term future of the platform - by empowering good people and causes that I want to succeed here.

If you receive delegated power you will be able to reward users you support with higher paying votes , and you will also earn more in curation rewards.

  • I'm looking for the most active curators that won't simply use the power to self-vote.
  • I would prefer to support activists and truth-seekers , but I'll consider anyone
  • If I choose you, you get the power for at least 1 week (with no obligation or restrictions)
  • Each week I will review the votes of my delegatees and I will remove power if I feel it would be better used elsewhere.
  • As long as I feel that you're a positive force on the platform, you keep the SP.

We're 'only' talking about 1000 SP , don't get ideas of becoming an instant whale overnight - but its enough to make a noticeable difference to a minnow and the people they support.

If this goes well, I'll keep delegating out 1000 SP batches every week indefinately.

These are my current delegations as seen with @jesta's awesome vessel :

@AusBitBot is my personal curation bot : supporting a shortlist of authors + rule based voting

@centerlink supports upstanding members of #teamaustralia (shortlist+rule based)

@choogirl handles recruitment for #teamaustralia and has been an active manual curator

@fortified has been an active curator as well as writing quality analysis about wikileaks, pizzagate and more

@krystle is my partner and an active manual curator herself, as well as vote following @minnowsupport and @centerlink

@minnowsupport is a votebot you can call via the P.A.L discord chat

@mumofmany is my sister in law and a new user manually supporting #teamaustralia content (and more)

@provenezuela is an initiative to support spanish content from Venezuelan steemians

@teamaustralia is manually curating good Aussie content from members

@v4vapid is one of my favourite content creators and an active curator of controversial content.

Know someone that should be on this list ?

Hello, first off thank you for following me I followed you back. Here's why I think that I should be given some extra power on steemit.

  1. I am an activist first at heart I have been for several years since 2009 I always put others above myself and do whatever I can to help whoever I can. I have ran fundraisers, donated to hundreds of people, and helped setup clothing/supply drops. I truly have a passion and zeal for helping others.

  2. I am an independent journalist who works very hard researching and writing to produce informative articles, and I always go above and beyond to educate my readers. I have integrity and a passion for truth and knowledge.

  3. I believe this platform is the future and together we can make a difference this is finally our way out of the "system."

  4. I have a rather large Twitter following and feel that I could bring some of those people over here if I was able to help them grow and make a profit for their own work.

  5. I plan on sticking around and getting to know the community.

  6. I am a member of minnowsupportproject,PAL and support the project because it helps new users. Giving them a support network but more importantly, it establishes a community where people can get together and make long lasting friendships and form networks.

  7. I have a high availability I work as an independent journalist for www.activistpost.com, so I am almost always on my computer. So if a new minnow had questions, I would try to help them as well as give them some exposure for their post.

Peace and love. ~AK

I don't want the delegated power, but I'm resteeming this to 9500+ followers to get the word out. It's great what you are doing, @ausbitbank. :)

I'm not really comfortable with having power I haven't earned on a platform I'm still becoming familiar with. But I ask if I can reserve this chance for the future. I am linked with many prominent peace, political and social change activists in Australia and around the world. I also know some people in politics and media around the world. Now I mainly work with refugee and asylum seeker activists. The big ones. I have many friends and some family who have had to make perilous trips to refugee camps in other countries. I work with the abandoned Afghan and Iraqi interpreters. I am the only real, and dedicated advocate for them in Australia. My husband is one. I have a vision for the future. I can see people in war torn, poverty stricken countries and situations being given an equal chance to earn financial security, on steemit, , which can literally save lives. I am just getting the feel of steemit and haven't wanted to share too much yet, for three reasons. First is the difficult situation my husband and I are in, makes it very hard to emotionally deal with ignorance and hateful comments. I have been doing it a long time, even had death threats from white supremacist groups, but I have to be careful on here to not release the menopausal c**t that sometimes loses her patience on social media.
Second is the security of the people I work with. I don't want to identify anyone in danger on a global platform, this includes my husband, and I learned how easily one slip can put you in danger. We relaxed about his security issues when we were in Delhi, in a poor suburb, (money is always tight in our situation) and next thing, the taliban knew where we were. I was in our flat, and I had a "visit" from someone trying to break the door down when my husband was out. His Father told him the taliban knew where he was. That was from mentioning where we were, generally, on facebook. Not 100% sure it was them, or someone working with them, at the door, but it was a wake up call. When someone has $40 000 price tag on their head you have to be constantly aware of everything you do on the internet.
Thirdly, I don't want to advertise this platform to some people that may follow me on facebook. We have already had to report someone that was an obvious terrorist that was following the page I run on facebook and it's hard to know exactly who is and isn't sometimes. My husband is good at identifying the security threats, or "the bad guys" but you can't always be sure. I know how to run a secure page and personal account of facebook, the feds are cool with it and I am in contact with national security agencies, but I'm still trying to see how the lack of regulations works on steemit in providing personal security.
I will link you to the page I run and you can see my main priority, and the reason I run the page, in the about sections. I'v been a bit neglectful the past few weeks, illness then focusing on steemit.
Once I am comfortable opening up this platform to the most needy, I would love the chance to give them a fighting start. And I am grateful for this opportunity to "come out of the closet" as an activist.

I'm happy to support these causes when you're ready :) Feel free to reach out on steemit.chat or discord anytime

Really? I just got a bit teary. The offer of support means a lot to me. It doesn't come very often. Thank you so much.

As soon as I master using the chat thingies I will say hi.

If you are looking for a good cause then you should think about delegating me some power or using your power to upvote important messages I share. This would be the most important:

https://steemit.com/health/@theaustrianguy/this-website-saves-lifes-the-one-basic-life-support-website-everybody-should-know

If you visit my profile you will also see that I am active and I am trying to do good for the community myself. Of course on a much smaller level than you do - But at least I am trying.

If you read my story (https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@theaustrianguy/the-story-of-how-a-young-aspiring-doctor-from-beautiful-austria-wants-to-help-the-world-grow) you will also see that money is not my motivation.

If you consider me I would be really grateful. If you don't think I am worthy please at least consider sharing/supporting my message about BLS ;)

This post received a 2.2% upvote from @randowhale thanks to @theaustrianguy! For more information, click here!

Here is why I think I should be on the list

  1. Active user with daily votes, comments and posts.
  2. I go through the new posts several times a day
  3. Humbly adequate education to pick up good content
  4. A bit frustrated by my voting power
  5. Active member of minnowsupportproject,PAL,
  6. With above I hope to support newcomers like myself who are under recognized
  7. Will not use this power to support already well supported whales
  8. Would like to bring more people into minnowsupportproject
  9. I see steemit as a platform explained in this link. https://steemit.com/steemit/@nedspeaks/why-i-think-steemit-will-change-the-world
  10. I achieved more than I could have dreamed of in my life. This project is a mission, not a money bank for me.
  11. Thus I am able to selflessly support and promote great newcomers and in turn promote the platform.
    Thanks for your coniderations.

Dear @ausbitbank , i am Using @callistus to promote steemit to Africa and to recruite more people to enable them contribute meaningfully to this community and to be financially free.
I intend to use the proceeds generated from @callistus to help people and one day do the same thing you are doing right now.
Thanks in Advance.

Same. You stole the words right out of my mouth. Except #5 I'm not active with any of the 2, I'm to focused on earning more sp so I can give back to our minnow community that deserves it

Thankyou. As you are supporting minnows, I shall be be following you.

Ywow the ks. I can always do with more followers .. followed back

Happy to follow back. Can you kindly explain Ywow the ks?

Haha oops I meant wow thanks

Give this man the power already

Actually wanted to ask for this delegated SP for myself, but I think @nedspeaks deserves it. I guess there are many people out there that would do great deeds with the delegated steempower, but he seems so very intelligent to me and surely follows some creators of valuable content. He should get it in my eyes, so he can support those people and gain more momentum in the longrun from his increased curation rewards.
I am still relatively new to steemit, actually just sat down to create my first couple of original articles, but have been checking out many cool creators already. When I have delved deeper into being active not only as a 1cent-curator but also gained at least a little bit of momentum, I will apply for some delegated steempower myself.

Very nicely said. Kind words and Thankyou

nedspeaks, I just want to know one thing. Are you related to tedtalks? lol

Lmao and the answer is maybe

I can't know naught but my own thoughts. Occasionally gleam a tentative understanding of others based on their actions. to attempt to then cater my actions to a perceived greater good seems misguided to me. i personally like authenticity, i think many people would agree. At the moment it seems people fear expressing their true views here, and i'd like that to stop. Say what you think not what you think will get you the most up-votes. Depending our your view of the world this is either worthy of praise or scorn, because, well, some folks might get offended by some other folks' opinion. it bothers me that spaces on the internet more often than not become echo chambers of like minded people, instead of fostering a proper Socratic discourse by which i think we all reach a better understanding of each other, even if it remains an approximation of reality. As a social experiment it would be incredibly interesting to see what a system that rewards dissidence could produce, perhaps i could work towards making that happen.

Give it to me @ausbitbank , first check my profile and then you will test me for one week and see the results for yourself...

dont you see that you just killed your chances?:D

Consider my friend @sethsprengers. He just started using Steemit. He is an amazing artist but he also posted about his fight against overweight. And he even found the courage to put up a post in which he tells the world about him being a gay transgender. The Steemit community has truly empowered him!!

Thanks for the opportunity to apply for your SP delegation!

Your curation power would be in good hands with me because I'm very active and focused on creating a healthy ecosystem here - I try to vote for great, valuable content that helps make Steem an even better place. I typically use up all of my voting power each day spread across anywhere from 20 to 50 different posts and comments.

My focus is on left-of-center art and music, especially electronic music, as well as cutting edge technology, science, and philosophy.

I allocate 1-2 full power upvotes per 24 hours for myself (NEVER more than two). This feels fair to me.

With only 1.5k SP in my wallet at the moment, your 1k delegation would make a big difference in my ability to support other users. Thanks for your consideration. :-)

Great idea! I would be a good recipient as I have a massive amount of hours under my belt of navigating through all the garbage on the web to access the best and most unusual evidence for controversial topics that helps us find the actual truth of the situation. I do this every day to some extent and you can see a collection of the result of that in the Katalist pages at my own social network - ureka.org:
https://www.ureka.org/katalists/owner/ura-soul?sort=created_d&timing-from=all&timing-to=all&contain=all&status=all&limit=12&list_type=gallery

Hi @ausbitbank, what a wonderful idea :) I would like to recommend the honor go to @tonyr. Though he is relatively new to the platform, he is most definitely a truthseeker and activist. We've had numerous email exchanges, so I know where he stands with the issues. (He does not believe in vaccinations, he intends to unschool his son etc.) He's also a very kind man who leaves extremely thoughtful comments everywhere. And you would never need worry that he would abuse it.

EDIT: I so rarely upvote my own comments I could almost say never, but since this is for someone else I'm making an exception to give it a better chance of being seen :)

Really cool thing you are doing. And WOW, look at all the responses you have gotten. I'm usually against upvoting your own post or comment, I've just done it here to gain a little visibility on such an active post.

I'm definitely interested in going in the pool for SP delegation, but I wonder if you might also be willing to chat with me about a proposal I plan on making to the network and consider supporting it. Up until now, i have just been testing steem to ease my way into the community, and understand more fully the mechanics of it.

As many people do, i have strong interest in blockchain networks as user owned alternatives to their for profit, corporate owned (old world) counterparts.
I've been involved with cryptocurrencies since 2011, but primarily I'm an artist, and i've been exploring how steem can be used for and by artists.
I think it's proving to be a great platform, especially compared to the current for profit sites where most artists post their work (while the sites profit off of them).

I discovered steem almost a year ago, but decided to focus my energies else where as I found the economics of the system to be flawed. Obviously the beauty of something like steem is that these types of problems are self healing, the network has worked hard since to fix the features which were draining the network the most.

My main focus in life over the next few years is to enable development of blockchains for artists of all kinds, as a way to distribute their work, and enabling ways to make a living as an artist.

Lately i've been testing acting as a curator and seeing what kind of effect i can have. I asked a friend of mine, @sheagar to join steemit, and have used what voting power, and follower base as a way to help @sheagar gain some visibility. In the last several weeks @sheagar has had two posts with substantial visibility, and I believe that my support, in combination with the quality of her work has enabled her start developing a really healthy follower base.

I'd like to take this to another level. Located in a major US city, I am a part of one of the only Artist owned community art organizations that has sustained itself (in this particular city, which is one of the fastest growing cities in the country). I'd like to leverage my community to anchor blockchain networks to a local community, and anchor this local artist community in blockchain networks. I think there are a lot of different things that can be done here, and have been working to set this in motion.

If you would support me through delegated power, I would use it to grow the quality of steem's art user base.

If you would be willing to chat with me, there are other ways I am planning on getting involved with steem for the same goal, of growing steem as a platform for artists of all types.

Thanks so much for your time.

Well, I figure my reason is as good as any.I want to encourage more people on the site sharing their personal accounts that are different from the common topics. I wish to see more diversity in blog contents since I myself don't feel like i fall into any particular category. I think if we don't give persons with non-trending skills and topics a way into the steemit crypto chain, the platform won't grow. Contents seem too exclusive to just steemit, cryptos, music, upper-class travel and arts. What about people not interested in these things? I was attempting to host a contest, Cryptalent, encouraging new users to just upload videos of themselves doing their favorite things. Got a couple entries but it was unsustainable. I've decided to chill and try to grow a bit more first.

Just figured I'd toss my idea at you since you asked:p

Howdy there! I think I would be a good candidate for the following reasons

  1. I already curate and follow @centerlink - more SP could give me more power to help this cause
  2. I follow and support #teamaustralia and curate this team as much as possible (good content)
  3. I dedicate my time to @centerlink through supporting with posts and adding some humour to the platform and run competitions to add more SP to @centerlink - which in turns supports a wider community
  4. I am constantly looking for new and relevant content that is adding value to the platform. I want good content to come to the forefront, not just popular content.
  5. I am always looking out to support new Steem developments (even though I am not a dev myself)
  6. I am an early member of the MSP and support the fantastic cause that @aggroed, yourself and the other team members have developed in that great initiative. I look out for the great content from this group and support them where ever I can.
Thanks for considering me for this awesome opportunity!

Hey man, remember me? You used to curate my content hehe

I am not here to beg for votes. Actually I want to tell you about my side account.

@mexico-trail was born because i noticed that my community was growing, I started to see that a lot of Mexicans joined but weren´t so active or simply just gave up when they weren´t getting noticed.

I already have another mexican (@neuerko) on board and we have a 60 person community and most of them are active. The idea for this account is to curate content in order to encourage mexicans and expats living in México to keep posting and to keep coming back to the platform.

On the side, we also welcome new members and try to make them feel at home like only another mexican can do it.

We have a lot of projects on our mind. Actually we won another SP delegation contest another big whale organized but I think the project came down becaus of other winners trying to get advantage of the situation.

The thing is, we need SP to make a difference with out community, we already have a streemian account.

I would highly appreciate the delegated SP. The community believes in the project, we just need to show them that we can make a difference by upvoting their posts.

Furthermore, as we need sponsors, you´ll be mentioned on our daily report post to for people to support you as witness.

I hope you consider our petition.

Cheers and thank you!

(Oh and by the way, you used to curate my content! Insert face with tear hehehe)

This is the account I am telling you about, it is in spanish so I don´t know if you can read them but it is on beta stage, today we posted our first Daily Posts Curated by mexico-trail.

Upvoting to gain visibility in the flood of comments, not to get a few extra cents hehe

Lol sorry mate it's nothing personal I just hasn't come across your posts in ages. Upvoted some now to catch up a bit :)

This is a pretty good suggestion too, I'll definately consider it even if it doesn't win this batch of sp

Hey, thanks for the votes!! :D Wasn´t expecting that :)

Thanks for considering it, if you want more info to decide whether supporting or not, I can send you an email or direct message with our projects and rules for curating a post. We are very organized and disciplined about the trail :D

Hey mate, have you thought about the @mexico-trail proposal? Sorry to bother I know with school holidays and the other projects you have are too busy, just thought about a friendly reminder in case you still want to delegate some SP to other accounts... You can already see some results with this project. In the end the OCD project did went full force and now we have some support but it would be amazing to get you involved on the mexico-trail project as well. We would also mention you on our comps...

Hi! Awesome, this is really great of you, I'm glad I vote you witness. 😆

I am currently working on a project with @kedjom-keku to create a donation bot similar to the @randowhale at the @treeplanter account with intro post here. It's to raise funds for tree planting in Cameroon, good cause right there.

I'm going to delegate somewhere between 500 and 1000 SP myself, perhaps you could match me? 😄

Then there's the other bot project, way more em controversial though, @smackdown.kitty for micro flagging self voted comments, and rewarding those who did self vote but then stop with micro up votes. @l0k1 explanation here and mine here. It's a good cause too because as you may have noticed it's pretty widespread and not a positive thing for the platform.

Some cool options here thanks for the heads up I'll probably support these anyway

Awesome. Keep your ear to the ground 😉

I get quite an engagement in my posts so I would use the power to up-vote all thoughtful comments from 1-5%.

If I ever have a significant power, I will curate through the new page up-voting and commenting in all good new posts. I used to do it in the past but with the new fork I don't have much power.

A very simple response from me, thanks for considering.

I aim to greatly increase the reach of the sports community here on Steemit. We have 100's of posts about crypto or how to do well on Steemit, but very few sports posts get a lot of love.

I'd like to change that and attract the throngs of sports fans in the world to our lovely website here.

Hey I would love to be considered as a delegate.
I am pretty new to Steemit, just 2 weeks in, but have already built my reputation up to 52. I know the struggle of being a minnow, and how great it feels to be supported by others, so I would want to pass that feeling on to other people.
I try to be a positive force in the community when I can by making tutorial or support guides on how to write a good post, how to cash out, how to use streemian, etc... I'm learning as I go and always trying to pass the things I learn on to other newbies too.
I am on here everyday, because I have the luxury of working from home so am able to spend more time on Steemit than I could if i was in the office, and this allows me to be able to interact daily with different users on here and in the chat, and I have built some great relationships so far.
I would like to help people who take the time to create good content to be recognised and therefore encourage more people to stay motivated and keep steeming on + inviting their friends to do so as well :)
I am in @teamaustralia so definitely would love to help support my fellow team mates and others in the wider community too :)

I'm not sure, if this is what you had in mind, but ...

I nominate @thatgermandude.

I think, I managed to talk him out of the TRAIL scheme, but he wants to curate and even though I don't agree with him an all topics, he might be a good choice.

I would love some delegated power. Since I post a lot and love to give to new users to encourage them and to quality content. But I think I think it would be bittersweet when its taken back. Unless I was able to make 1000sp in the short amount of time it was given to me. It would be bittersweet when taken back. Great post @ausbitbank you are always giving and that's great! People like you make steemit amazing. I will buy some steem all weekend long and see where it takes me and make some posts. Good luck to whoever wins it. (this is not an entry) :0) Just supporting you and PAL :)

Ok so here I go @ausbitbank
First of all I should let you know that I currently spend like 70% of all my time on Steemit. I work hard to please the players of my contest, while I try to build my brand, since I really MEAN it with the platform. If the community enables me, I would like to make here not only my living, but also help others do the same! I not only want to be an author, but also a manual curator, because I believe that quality of the content is one of the biggest influencer of Steem’s prize.

Me as a curator

As I stated above, one of my goals on this site is to be a curator. I admit that I up vote my posts too, but since I was dropped from the trail I don’t receive much love in form of up votes and I need to make the posts at least a bit visible, but I never post more than 2 posts per day.
Im very young on this platform (like one and half months or so), but I already try to show with my actions that I really mean it as a curator. My Steem power is kinda low, therefore I use the only instrument to support my curator’s effort – the @minnowsupport. I think that I have up voted myself only 3 times and only when I was deeply under my “investment plan”. Otherwise I try to share the love as much as I can.
Topics that I mainly want to support are – Philosophy, Self-improvement, Fiction, Education, Steemit projects and basically any try to share non-generic knowledge.
But my FORMOST goal is to support those that have low value on posts (and meet my requirements of course)! Those that earn 50+ bucks on every post don’t need help anymore, but those that earn under 5 need the support if we want them to stay and share their knowledge! At least that’s my humble opinion .

Examples

The cooldown on @minnowsupport is rather long (for good reason) so my ability to share the love is fairly limited. This is though the list of guys that will, for me, be remembered as the start of my curator’s career.
@cristof – That guy is doing tremendous work with his try to select the posts that are worth reading. Anyone who doesn’t have enough time can make great use of his project – Category: Steemit projects
@Sircork – I have discovered him through my contest and have to say that he puts a lot of hard work into Steemit. He deserves the support – Category: non-generic content
@Thatsweeneyguy – Also discovered through my contest. Hes working on a game that would use a Steem as its rewards! That’s just awesome – Category: Steemit projects
@improv – Again discovered through my contest. I enjoy his werevolf stories and some of his free writes. Hes blog doesn’t have many views, that’s why I try to help him find his audience – Category: Fiction
@marekdavid – Guy that has no viewer traffic at all, but his effort to explain to people how their body works deserves it imo – Category: Education
@schlosser – My friend that I persuaded to join our community. Hes one of the cleverest people I know and believe me when I say that he will have plenty of knowledge to share – Category: Self-improvement/Non-generic knowledge
That’s just a brief list of those that I have up voted with @minnowsupport strenght. As I said my curator’s career is in its beginnings, but those guys are the proof that I try to share the love when I can! You sir could elevate it to next level!

I have been working on starting a Military Veteran's Community here on Steemit. My reasons are simple. I want to create a community where veterans can find other vets, get things of their chest, seek help, and I want to raise money for vets in need. I have working to get the tag #veterans created. It has been increasingly used by people, which is great to see. However, I have a lot to do to get this community to the point where I want it to be and where it would be the most beneficial to helping others. Steemit is a great platform that will allow me to help other veterans, which is something that has been important to me for quite some time. This delegation would help when curating other veteran's post and hopefully would provide a needed boost in keeping the veteran's community growing. Thanks for offering this and for your consideration. I have included a couple of posts that I wrote about starting this veteran's community.

Hie i am @tinashe from Zimbabwe and we are having a steemit expansion project in Zimbabwe👉 SteemitZimbabwe where we are spreading the steemit platform to under privileged communities ,i believe this will help in uplifting the day to day living standards of these poor communities. We are curently facing fiat shortages so cryptocurrency is the perfect option here.We have great untapped talent in our country that needs to be harnessed and showcased out on the international community,we failing to do so because most of my team members are not getting enough upvotes to be noticed and their good written work ends up dead without any one seeing it.I believe if you delegate the Steem Power i will be able to upvote their content and they will get enough exposure to be noticed thus they will also be growing in the steemit community. We have our steemit chatroom on discord where we have new members and we tutoring them on how to use steemit-you can check it out👉 ZIM CHAT
Well i hope i will qualify for the delegated steem ,this will change everything and lives in Zimbabwe.

THANK YOU

I would like an increase in the amount of right brain content that is visible and see arts, crafts, music, poetry etc take a more prominent role in the Steemit community.

I myself have only been active on Steemit for the past month, so I'm not sure if I'm the most suitable candidate, but please it would be so wonderful if you could select at least one delegate that is committed to nurturing the artists, designers and musicians of Steemit!

yes - i want to do more to support the best writing and most interesting people here - my current upvote is around 3c and i would love to give some great minnows a thrill ...all good though , i am sure you will pick worthy people and it is wonderful that you have started this idea to spread influence on Steemit. No worries either way , i am happy whoever gets to do this for you.

Hey great initiative !

I think I could do a good job as a curator, I am currently unemployed so I have a LOT of free time. I am already spending a lot of time here on Steemit but as a minnow I am still not making a big difference. Don´t get me wrong I´m not complaining, I love it here. But my SP is still little so... step by step.

I like reading a lot, and finding good content from unknown users is my goal. No point giving exposure always to the same users, in my honest opinion.

So... If you trust me for a week I am pretty sure I won´t disappoint.

Thanks for such a kind giveaway! :D

First things first, let me say you are doing an amazing thing, even if you think what you're doing is relatively small. You are giving people the opportunity to make a difference. So thank you for that.

I'll be direct here, I'm not the most qualified choice, nor do I produce any content of much value here. However, in my extremely short time on this platform so far, I have come to see the immense potential on steemit. I see this as a place where we can help expand each others minds and elevate each other financially outside of the rigid and controlled systems elsewhere on the internet. Rarely if ever do you find this many people coming together in one place that isn't controlled by a large corporation of some kind, that doesn't tie into a company's financial interests, that isn't heavily censored. I want to support this in any way I can, by upvoting, commenting on, and resteeming content that gives people something of value. People that share intriguing thoughts, great art, helpful information - or even just something funny that can give people a smile when they most need it. Right now, being as new as I am, I can't upvote for more than 2 cents, and me resteeming something does essentially nothing at 20 followers, but I am working on changing that and even put some (a rather tiny amount) directly into STEEM Power to speed up the process.

I think steemit has a problem with people trying to profit without supporting the community, when supporting each other is what I believe our goal here should be. Over and over again I see people with significant voting power comment that they love a post, only to NOT upvote the post, but upvote their own comment instead. I admit, on my first day here I fell into the trap of doing that myself, and I am not proud of it. I saw it everywhere and just assumed that was the way to go! I think it creates a toxic, greedy environment, and I want to do my best to combat it. This is supposed to be a supportive, kind, mind-opening and ultimately life-changing platform - I want to be an active part of that. i'll try to be supportive, kind, helpful and hopefully occasionally inspirational and motivational on here, and just generally try and use it for good.

Thank you for doing this, whoever you may ultimately choose.

I would like to be considered for this. I have currently been working actively to promote non steem-centric content, which is what I feel will move this platform forward. I have actively been voting specifically on nature and gardening posts, a category that is often neglected, but we (Steemit) have some great writers in these categories. I'd hate to see these writers leave as the writers in these categories are producing some of the most unique and actionable content on the platform. I've been a part of this platform for a long time, and have consistently advocated for original content that reaches beyond our current demographic. I will continue to do this with the additional SP were it to be delegated to me.

In addition to these specific categories, I have also been active in the minnowsupport group, delegating some of my current SP to the project. If I were to be granted the 1000 SP, I could allocate more of my personal SP to the project. I have also recently begun working with the minnowtowhale project and have added the majority of their authors to my voting habits.

In closing, I appreciate your dedication to good content on this platform through this initiative, and because it seems that your values and mine are similarly aligned, I hope to be able to apply your values within my sphere of influence.

I'm not nominating myself, I want to nominate @mk40. He has only been here for a couple months, but he's probably the most active user I've seen. 1,000 SP would almost triple his influence, and considering how active he is, I think he'll find a lot of great content to upvote.

Ive only been on this platform for a week and I can already see a bit of a tipping of scales in a certain direction. This is obviously bound to happen after a platform has been out for a bit over a year. Even after just a few hours a day on here, ive seen people post ACTUAL relevant articles about things that matter, not just for Steemit, but actual good causes that are happening in the world on a daily basis. But 90% of the time, unless these people are lucky enough to be upvoted by a whale, the post goes completely unnoticed and its left behind with 0.05 of an upvote. I joined this platform because to me it was about helping people, I had heard from someone that there was a social media outlet that was a mix of facebook and reddit BUT, it rewarded people who put out valuable content, things that could help make a difference in peoples lives. As of now, Im seeing ONLY a handful of people, such as yourself who are trying to do things to actually help those who are smaller on the platform than themselves. My Goal, once Ive been on here for a few months is to become a whale, Ive been on here for 5 days and im moving full steem ahead, Im going to make sure that my account is so prominent that my votes are worth enough for me to change someones week around and to make someone smile and feel proud about the content that they have created, and even more so to reward them for what theyve done. Its a bit bothersome when you see the top 30 hot and trending topics are always from the same people, day after day, people jump on their posts just to get curation rewards. Whether I get the 1000 or not isnt really important, Im going to be a monster on this site, and will do everything in my power to help new comers and to push up the little guys so they dont feel so little anymore.

Well said! All of the best to you!

In my opinion, this kind of post will only be interpreted as a call for people to deceive you in the most creative way!

If they are really that kind of an ambitious, helpful and social person, then they wouldn't dare to ask for this kind of delegation but rather participate in discussion of posts they are interested in without monetary motivation.

You could try to delegate to people here selected by your inside into human nature and also take a random portion of people, that just curate actively. The result of that would be extremely interesting.

Anyway, thank your for supporting the community here (:

This is such an awesome idea! I'd love to be considered.

I'm brand new to the Steemit community as of Monday, and I've been posting daily (and sometimes more!) about the power of preparation for musical endeavors from the perspective of an established vocal coach and musical director. Additionally, I share videos I've created of personal performances to empower others to do the same and take risks!

Thank you for your consideration!

I would like to increase italian community , giving credit to those who really deserve it.
Some good italian people came here, writed a really nice blog/posts and they left. Why? cause in the last period, no one looking at newbies, people here only trying to earn and we know, no much earnings with newbie.

Think about delegating to @steempub-trail.

But, I don't know how much you like the 'refreshments' :D

I delegated a bit to @minnowsupport. Will do more when I grow a bit! Thanks for all previous support!

Im one of the bigest true seekers, you can check that i became follower of one investigator 15 minutes before you made this post, you can check comment that i said im following him now. I dont like to upvote myself. Im seeking the truth and world secrets for many years and i have some knowledge of that too, i reall like to seek the truth, it just the way i am and its a part of my personality.

I'd love some steem delegation even if it's small.

I want to bring real discussion back to the world one post at a time and hopefully make a living out of it.

Iv'e been doing it for so long on facebook i thought i may as well bring it to steem and try and make some money to support myself.

I'd love to post a massive "Here's why you should vote for me" post but the simple fact is i don't have a great cause as some do below me, my cause is that i simply want have a bigger platform so i can hopefully encourage people to discuss their opinions and ideas in an open space, without identity politics or social stigmas and without personal attacks and hyperbole.

If i won this delegation of steem power from you I would use it to expand my base so that more people can get involved in the conversation and hopefully change more peoples minds on what it means to live in a civil society were people can argue and disagree with each other but still remain friends and actively enjoy the past time of discourse.

Thanks ausbitbank!

Well if I were gifted the privilege of being delegated 1000 Steem Power I would...

Carry on as I would by going through the new tab as well as the people I follow to find the people and content that I just love to read about. I tend to look for people who write about anarchism as well as philosophical topics as it is a matter which interests me highly and that is also shown by the types of posts I make.

I've recently been active on the platform nearly clocking 2000 comments and 51 reputation in under two weeks as I've spent a lot of my time here on steemit trying to add some value to the community with my good-natured words as well as forming discussions and new friends.

Recently, I haven't been upvoting as much due to the fact my voting power had completely depleted as I upvoted everyone like crazy, but now I've learned to be more conservative and give upvotes to people who deserve it.

Thank you for your generosity.

Gday @ausbitbank not sure what type of activist you are after, however I'll put my hand up for this. I'm particularly concerned with the direction Australia is headed and want to provide alternative information which supports a shift towards liberty, freedom of choice and small government. The left and right paradigm has burnt itself out, both sides dable in the ridiculous.

I support the types of posts promoting self reliance and freedom of the individual.

I dont have a huge following, but I try to look for information that doesn't rely on feelings and logical fallacies to support their arguments. I also look at areas of economics, politics and psychology.

My own content is to get people thinking away from the brainwashing of the television. Especially in Australia, there is a plethora of information tackling american issues and Australian content is hard to come by. teamaustralia is something that I want to succeed, I already have experienced good engagement and comments though joining.

It is my 2nd week and I have contributed quite a lot in this time as you can see from my profile.

Why I need that delegation power !

If you see one of my recent post of giveaway it will show you that I am trying to support minnows with an extra step. The power will be used for such projects further.

I will make contest where all users specially minnows will be encouraged to make quality posts and contribution towards community.

At the same time I will keep adding my contribution related to food & health that will benefit all people. Also cryptocurrency analysis that will help all who love crypto trading.

In summury, Most of the delegated power will be used to add value to steemit community.

Regards
Umair Afzal

Great initiative @ausbitbank. If I get your delegated SP, I'll make sure minnows that create quality content are found and upvoted. This will encourage them to create more content and stay active on the platform.

If I were entrusted with delegated 1000 SP I would continue to encourage new users to join the platform as well as give them tangible rewards for their efforts. I will continue doing as I am now, only make my upvotes more powerful. So, whether you choose to entrust me with a portion of your SP or not, I will continue the same way so that I'm doing my part to see the Steemit community grow. I do believe that it is revolutionizing the world.

Another awesome post showing why you are so valuable in this community. I won't nominate my self because I don't actually have enough time to be doing proper curation unless I just followed another trail and used the power extra here or there.
Mostly just want to make this comment to say I have voted u as a witness a while ago and if i hadn't already I would for sure. Also to let others know that I have been very involved in steemit for a long time and have seen how involved and dedicated to real improvement u have been in this community and are a prime candidate for a witness.
SteemON!

I Think that I should be on this list, because for me, it's not about the money. My whole life is about being an activists and truth-seekers. I have been living a humble life in the rain forest of costa rica, growing cacao tree to bar. I am regenerative and sustainable. And the most important thing to me is keeping it real.
Not your average bear, but maybe that's what your looking for in this position.
So much love and Pura vida, either way.

Hey mate, this is a great initiative to empower newer people to the platform. Also good to see you and so many others supporting the Venezuelan community. I stop by #retovenezuela daily to give a 100% upvote to someone new to Steemit. It's not much but it feels like a way to make an impact for good in a place where people are suffering.

I'd like to apply, I'm an active user posting original content and manually curating. Though I've been upvoting my own posts, I've never upvoted my own comment and would cease to do it all together if I was honored with delegation. As you well know, I've been giving back to the community through reward splits with @Centerlink and thinking of ways to advance the Steemit community as evidenced here and here.

Despite being paid per piece as a freelance writer, I'm focusing the vast majority of my time each day into Steemit and Team Aus. It doesn't make sense financially - I earn a lot more writing copy - but I see huge potential for Steemit going forward and I'm investing my time in it accordingly.

Your delegation would increase my Steem Power 5 fold, vastly increasing the potency of my vote and rewards from curation efforts. I try to direct the majority of my up votes to quality Team Aus Posts, that have not yet made it to hot or trending.

Thanks for your consideration.

EDIT: I upvoted my first own comment today - but it was for a good cause - the minnowbooster nomination in Steemvoters Guild

I have also leased 200SP for the next month and doubled my SP

Thank you for sharing. 👍😁

Hello @ausbitbank please find below link to my post for the contest! I hope you will put a glance into it and get the support of the community.

Hello @ausbitbank, I found your post through a resteem and I am interested becoming a trustee of addition Steem Power. This would be an incredible opportunity for me to expand my support for the Steemit community.

Since joining two weeks ago I have been active in helping new users who contribute quality content, guiding them to other members and posts that provide the tools they need to be a successful member, and upvoting only posts that share substantive information and content.

Beyond upvoting, my support for the community can be shown by my personal activity in my first two weeks. I initially invested in buying Steem Power on my own to help build my ability to curate quality posts, it's not a lot, but every bit helps. I engage directly in conversation through replies to the authors of the posts I choose to upvote, I do not upvote without engaging the author. I do not upvote my own comments/replies. I have created Steemit business cards that I made available for free in a post of mine, I have directly dontated Steem Dollars to members who I feel deserve more or are in need of financial support due to life circumstances when I knew my limited voting power just didn't provide what I wanted it to.

Having 1000 Steem Power delegated to me would dramatically boost my ability to help others and curate quality content. I understand the importance of this privilege and would not take it lightly.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
