With this rule set where monsters lose all their abilities, it's all about High Magic Damage and High Health or ways to counter Magic Damage using specific summoners. Also monsters that by default have no abilities tend to be quite good. Overall it's one of the most straightforward game rules out there.
My opponent and me went for a similar strategy playing the Arlic Stormbringer summoner and many Magic attack monsters. I had them at a higher level with the Djinn Oshannus as my main tank followed by the Prismatic Energy, The Medusa, and the Tortisian Chief to end the line up with the 2 strongest magic monster that have the highest attack in the Nedrissa Tridawn & the Ruler Of The Seas. I plated the higher-health monster first from the last 2 in increase the chance of survival and possibly an extra attack in case it would be a close game.
This was not needed though as it was an easy 100% win according to Splintertools also because there was a big gap in card levels while my opponent also played an expensive melee attack card with armor as the main tank which was a mistake.
